From the food (tasty, simple yet so so rooted) is another mirror of what this amazing property stands for. No nonsense, uncomplicated menu that satiates and thrills at the same time, is fantabulous. Never a day we felt (mind you, we stayed three nights!) we could have food elsewhere. While you are here, do not miss out on the walks or Jeep Safari organised by them (few at a cost) along with the in-house naturalist. Mr. Pratish & his team are passionate about wildlife & nature, and you will only be drawn more to this enchanting world as you speak to them. Spend time with the lovely ladies (Mrs. Omana & Mrs. Maria) at the paper making unit. The view from the place is another charmer. Take a stroll across the 12 acre property, get charmed by the flora and fauna or just sip a hot chai at the comfort of your cottage. Options aplenty, so ensure to have at least 3 days to indulge! The Ayurveda centre here is one of the best we have been to and the massage truly blew our mind. They are a solid set of experienced practitioners & know what is best for you. Mr. Sumesh & team, please take a bow. While I might not have called out many names, be rest assured the entire team will make you want to come back here & experience hospitality at its best. The team coming together to actually give you a send off as your car leaves the property is a benchmark tough to beat!!! All the best, and keep rocking!

This was my first trip to thekkady, albeit the fact that i am from kochi. The 4 hour drive was easy enough, the roads were good and smooth, just make sure you stick to the highway, and don't let go-ogle maps convince you to take any shortcuts. We reached spice village around 12:00, all our luggage was sanitized, which is the norm these days, and we were offered welcome drinks. Then the staff gave us a verbal tour of the property, it's a 12 acre property with 52 cottages. The property is filled with many varieties of trees and plants and the cottages are arranged in steps among the trees, it really felt like another world there, so peaceful and full of birds chirping around you. We did spot a hornbill and a malabar squirrel. The cottages have thatched roofs and clay floor tiles, and comes with all the modern amenities that you expect in a premium property. The staff at the property were all very courteous and attentive, and accommodated our every request. The food was amazing, we tried all varieties of chicken, beef, fish and vegetarian dishes and every one of them was amazing. There are couple of activities at there property itself to keep guests occupied like a classical dance, cooking demonstration, property tour, a museum, a nature club with a qualified naturist to tell you about all the flora and fauna you see around the property. It was really a blissful, magical and relaxing 2 days we spent at the chg spice village. Keep up the excellent work.

We stayed in spice village for 2 n. We opted to stay here as this would have been a very different experience and i must say property did not disappoint us. This is a lovely eco friendly property and one would not see a small piece of plastic in the entire property. There are lots of in house activities that once can choose to stay occupied. Staff was amazing and took a good care of us and their recommendations were also brilliant. Few things that could be re-looked is as this is a non ac property room were extremely hot as we stayed in may and if not ac, something like a air cooler would make your stay comfortable though the Spice Village Thekkady - a CGH Earth Experience would help you with spare fan. Also the restaurant has a very limited menu and if you are not in a mood to eat authentic kerala cuisine you don't have many options to choose from. Lastly room service could be more prompt and quick. In all a great experience and would certainly recommend others to enjoy the beauty of this property.

Stayed during August and we usually get a light breeze and the climate was apt, the area is calm and quite , the staff was very helpfull, welcome drink was specially good. They arranged a cradle for our baby, for the eve dinner they arranged for us an alacarte and delivered it at our rooms (even though it was a buffet dinner). Room was cool, the coffee powder kept at room was special. What was lacking is a TV but I think that may disturb the natural feel of our stay. Breakfast buffet is also good, the staff at restaurant helped us get special items like masala dosa, omelette. Atlast the helpfull staff took all our lugguage and kept all of them inside our car. Finally the staff at réception were there to bid bye bye while we were leaving the Spice Village Thekkady - a CGH Earth Experience. It was a special caring expérience , eventhough I missed the area because we needed to give attention to our baby boy. I will come back with him again and experience to the fullest.

This is our first CGH Earth experience. Spice Village is a perfect stay therapy which is close to nature!! We appreciate the hospitality and amenities here. Special thanks to MS Needhisha at reception, Venkat at restaurant and few others to recollect. Rooms were excellent and well sanitised. Staffs and members at village adhere strict covid protocols. Hats off! Breakfast Buffet at Main restaurant was superb. Lunch and dinner was good with some chef signatures and suggest to offer buffet too. Organic farming, bottling plant, onsite composting are good messages to public and need a special mention. The property is so close to nature, there are monkeys, mountain squirrels, birds in this village - none harm you 😀! Spice village shops, Woods Museum, 50 mile diet, Tiger Reserve Centre are other amenities you can find in the village. Our morning alarm is usually a bunch of bird sounds. So refreshing! Recommended for a peaceful and natural refreshing stay therapy

Went for a first outing after covid scare. Never been so comfortable as they were making us feel safe every step. From entry into premises they check all details. Even-though i went in my own car, they sprayed n sanitised all luggage. Entry process was so smooth as they called and sent us link to upload all ids and declaratations online one day before. So we had to just walk in. Collect key and go to rooms after temperature check and all. Have to mention that all staff was wearing masks, gloves and what not to make us all safe. Spice village is knwn for their food. Chef and team was even ready to get us a lunch at 4 on as we were late. Have to say that even-though they have 50 plus rooms, they have opened only 20 odd to keep numbers less. Sad that pool was closed. But it was under govt rules. So better safe than sorry. Check out was also smooth as entry. I did tell the staff that i will. Be back for a longer stay.

Words can't describe the kind of stay we ended up having at Spice Village - CGH Earth. None of us wanted to leave the Spice Village Thekkady - a CGH Earth Experience, but we were on a schedule so had no choice. The staff was amazingly courteous and it wasn't just one person, it was from the very bottom to the absolute up. They took care of us like we were part of their family. The in house activities are a must do. Don't shy away from them as you will end up learning a lot from it. The 50-mile restaurant is a must. And the property itself is so beautiful that you'll never want to leave that place. The only negative I can think of is the variety in dinner for a-la-carte customers. They should just add a little bit more to it. But in the end I'd genuinely like to thanks the staff for making us enjoy our stay as much as we did. Hope to see you guys soon in the near future.

A perfect weekend getaway place. Very close to the periyar tiger reserve and it's inside the forest. Really loved the hospitality, each guest gets individual attention from the staff which is great. Food was good, dinner and breakfast buffet varieties are worth mentioning. Massages at the ayurveda center was very relaxing. Also, we opted for a jeep safari, reception arranged that as well based on our convenient time. Mr. Nizam drove us to the sathram view point, shout out to him. Flexible check in out timings are really commendable, we were able to check out by 1 pm because of the jeep safari timings and they agreed without a second thought. Altogether it was a very pleasant and relaxing stay in a clean green healthy earth concept. Thanks!

If you want to be middle of nature it's a great choice full of natural beauty with polite and well behave staff, overall we had great experience.

We have been a fan of cg h earth experience (after staying at some of their properties, our experience at spice village was no less. The staff at spice village including front office (renju & team, housekeeping are prompt, courteous and extremely helpful. The naturists (pratheesh, albin, preethi & naresh - who all by they way are experts in what they do, be sure to spend some time with them on a forest trail or property tour. While checking out, we faced an issue with our car and the entire team set afoot on the task to help us out! a special thanks to the gm and his entire team for being such awesome hosts!

Our stay at spice village was excellent. The location is very good. The quality of food and hygiene are excellent. They are concerned about the safety of the guests.

The swimming pool requires a major clean up. Salty and greasy water!
