St.James Court Beach Resort

I upgraded to a super deluxe room and had to work from the property. The wifi was terribly slow. And on the second day of my booking the power went off in my office hours. I had to step out of the property both the days to work in some cafe. Other than that the staff is courtious and helpful. They took car of my mother’s comfort and helath.

Worst maintained and food also

The property is very old and not maintained properly.

The room was decent but the management was not that great. They had lot of confusions and allocation of rooms was not proper. Swimming pool was good and great to have the beach access

Very delay check-in we waiting for more then two hrs for check in and service are very slow have to wait for one hr for any service. If u asking bath towel mean for that it’s take one hour. Like that you have to wait for all service.

The stay at St. James Court was absolutely horrible. The room was dirty and the bathroom door was broken. There were bugs in the room which we had to throw out :) The linen was torn and so were the covers on the dressing chair. Room service was almost non existent. We were given a mobile no. to call and after 12 calls and going to the reception and shouting and the reception calling the kitchen, someone spoke to us. It was 9:30 pm and they said there is almost nothing except for 2-3 items. The rotis were slightly burnt. The breakfast was no great shakes either- very little choice and flies everywhere. The breakfast tables were dirty as if it hadn't been cleaned for days. No use complaining at the reception - they have 1-2 people who will say, we cannot do anything, we need to wait for our manager and the manager is never available. They have basically left these junior people at the front desk to hear the brunt of guests- I counted 3 guests like me who were complaining but to no avail. We had paid 3 days in advance but we left immediately. Have escalated to MakeMyTrip with pictures and videos and haven't heard back. I will not recommend anyone to go there. They charge a decent amount for the rooms and the experience is just terrible.

location wise it's good. , however the property is not well maintained. Service is just average. Breakfast is just ok. Swimming pool is pathetic. no maintenance at all. sand and fungus. side walls are broken. Area is vast, if well maintained they can bring business. Not worth the money paid

found through google nearest resorts in Pondicherry, very horrible experience, we never had in our previous , rats are inside the room, cockroaches.. poor house keeping service ..

James court beach resort properties really good but it is not maintained properly breakfast food really bad there was no cups for sambar chatney kept there was no spoons or forks provided and the food was in a limited quantity. The beach view is really good from the room. Have already shared

Multiple requests ignored by the staff, the staff is not courteous. We requested for the room service, nobody showed up even after following up 3 times. We needed to feed the baby, and we requested for a spoon and bowl, inspite of standing in front of the kitchen nobody bothered giving it. They said go back to the room, we'll give it. But after 3 calls and visiting the reception nobody provided it. We had to keep our little one on liquids only because of their pathetic response. No parents should face this again, no child should go sleep on liquid fed because of such services. The management should be changed and more professional staff should be added. Swimming pool for children are not attended and cleaned.

Cleanliness is a big issue. Common area maintainance is worst. But the beach is good in front of it.

Room not ready even upto 250PM. Bed nd curtain full of dust. Dog and it mess all around the property.. only advantage is property is next to the beach. food was average to not bad .. they will give use and throw paper cups for hot gravy and sambar. if you good to tolerate then not a problem..

Location is very good. Beach front. Rooms have been renovated. Rooms are spacious. But F&B and Front office is incapable. We asked for snacks and dinner in rooftop restaurant. They said since there is a dinner party for 70 pax, they won’t be able to take order for Dinner. Snacks also they could offer only 2-3 limited options. They don’t have even soups. Front office is extremely terrible. They don’t receive guests with smile. Could not pass on the MMT discount mentioned in the booking vouchers.

Food, amenities and service is just horrible and worse, at the time of checkout staff behaviour was rude,and they threatened us that they will not allow us to go outside. we visited the property with my family, swimming pool was full of insects, dirty items and green fungus. From Room walls and roof water was coming,very horrible, very bad property, worst experience. wastage of money,make my trip has wasted my money i will not book any property from make my trip.

Staff was not at all Polite and attentive. When reached there at reception they didn't even bother to attend and kept doing some work on the computer until I asked them to attend me, reached at 1 pm check out was done at 1:45 even after availability of the room. Worst staff but I liked the breakfast.

The location and sea views is good. We were a group of 3 stayed for 2 days. The staff checked us in and then came to our room saying that the booking has not been confirmed by MMT. After several minutes of calls with the customer support the staff confirmed the stay. For every request like to not working, towels, room cleaning tea coffee order nothing was done properly. Several follow-ups had to be done. Ordered two teas and got one. Poor maintenance and pathetic service. Restaurant has open windows with lots of flies and insects. All the areas no proper system and interns are not trained properly.

Overall our stay was comfortable. We also found the staff to be well mannered and coopeartive. However, improvement in breakfast and food room service needs improvement. Also the retuarant and dining area needs maintenance. As the resort is bit far from market place a small shop inside for the tourists will be welcome.
