Stanmore Bungalow | Rooms in a Villa

Stanmore is beautifully located amidst tea plantations with mesmerizing views of the mountains. My first visit to Valparai and I luckily booked the best place to stay. Excellent ambience, great food and courteous staff. I would like the Stanmore management know that you have got one of the best teams to take care of the guests. Suganthan, Karthik, Robert, Raja & Chandrasekar were very helpful & people friendly. Special mention & thanks to Chandrasekar. He who knows in and out of Valparai. He guided us all over Valparai and provided us with complete details about each and every place we visited. I suggest all the guest who are new to Valparai should take him with you for the tour around Valparai. Thanks again. Chef Rangasamy and his son Shiva - You gave the best food during our stay there... All the dishes were awesome. Thank you. Please keep up the good job. I will definitely visit Stanmore again!!!

Location very scenic and beautiful to stay. Food was served as per our request and was very good quality as good as a home meal. Staff were very friendly. The nature walks were good and the place is ideally located for other sight seeing in around Valparai . Surrounded by tea plantations all over, makes it a pleasant sight . The place can have more activities for kids or something else apart from just the stay and enjoy the greenery around . Overall a good relaxing holiday for 2 days and nights (best reached from Coimbatore or Cochin Airports/railway stations)

Nice place ... Wooden cottages are fantastic ... Service by staff is also good. Raj accompanied us for morning nature walking and we could see a big batch of Baisan, Samba Deer, Wolfs, Black monkey, Wild big squirrel. We really enjoyed the waking. Thanks Raj for the company. If you are staying at this property never miss the nature walk in the morning. Food is good. I had ordered chicken 65 which was very salty ... I think it happened by mistake ... Over all very good experience ... I recommend any one to stay here and enjoy the nature

Best location for Rejuvenation... Awesome experience.. Especially trekking moments were thrilling and adventurous.. Nature walk was ultimate.. Got to see Great Indian Horn bill, Minivet and several other birds.. Got lucky to see Elephants and Bison as well... Resort is at the best location to enjoy peaceful environment... You can be very sure to be waken by birds chirping around your stay.. Would I repeat this trip ever in my life?.. It's a 100% yes. This resort is a sure recommendation for families and friends get-together.

No great food options available yet the food tastes better. Location and room View was 5 stars. Food menu and availability was 3 stars. Food taste was 4 stars. Service was 5 stars.
The view from the chalets was breathtaking, facing the east lots of ventilation, providing a fresh air to breath.

The best part is this property is situated a long way from. Valparai main village. It's totally worth it. The morning first thing you will hear is different kinds of birds chirping. You would fall in love. The beautiful tea garden view from every wooden chalet us def the show stopper. A must place to. Visit to beat the city life and give a lot of time to nature and your own self. Discover you and your partner in a new angle.

Fantastic place, Amazing view from the chalets good and reasonably priced food beautiful and well maintained compound with tea as far as the eye can see. Make sure you go for the tea factory. It helps tremendously if you can speak in tamil to get to know more about the sights and sounds out there from the locals. Remember to get your camera out there are so many animals all about!

I have stayed for one night. Super location and climate was awesome. Food is average. Room service is excellent. I tried food at valparai town it was a waste of time and worst taste. Kindly order and have food at stanmore Bungalow itself taste would be moderate but safe.

The location is very good. The food and the restaurant service is very good. The rooms with balcony has a nice view. The rooms are clean but the Bath towels need to be replaced. The towels were old and dirty.

Overall great experience. Only drawback is no TV in the chalet. Food is homely and not restaurant style. Enough parking area. The bungalow and the tea estate is awesome and the guide will take to tea estate in the morning for a walk was really good.

The stay in the Stanmore Bungalow | Rooms in a Villa was really excellent. The location was very beautiful. The food is good. The staff are very friendly and nice. The rooms are very comfortable. The facilities are good. You must stay here for a min of 2 nights.

Overall experience and hospitality was good. vegetarian food costs were on higher side.

This was the first trip with my wife after marriage to Valparai. The place is perfect for short trip. Staff are good. We enjoyed the wooden suite experience, nature walk and the visit to other woodbriar facilities in Valparai.

Purely amidst nature. Awesome getaway. A pool would've been a nice add on. Courteous staff especially Mr Chandrasekaran. We checked out early at 6am and still breakfast was ready, just for us, that's awesome service. Will definitely go there again.

Excellent property with nice service. Chalets were good and the view from the balcony was outstanding. Food was neat and tasty. Worth staying!
