State Beach Resort & Spa

Pros- 1. Too much power cut issues in the area, and still they are able to cater with generator even ac. 2. Rooms are good. 3. Staff is polite and professional 4. Food is good. 5. View is good cons- 1. Tea coffee sugar sachets in room are very cheap quality if compared to the room rent. No nestle coffe only tata grand coffee and 2 normal tea bag. 2. No welcome drink in summer to quench your thurst. 3. Property is very small and highly over rated and charged. With not much of facilities to cherish. 4. You may over hear discussion in next room. Since rooms are all in parallel row and separated by wooden wall or ply. Hence privacy is challenged. No thanks

We had a lovely stay at the resort. I recommend staying at one of the sea view suites. In order to get the entire view of the property. Loved all the details and ambiance of the room. A/c and comfy bed, extra mattress was provided. However, service & variety at the buffet must be looked into. For breakfast. The food was slightly delayed. You can book your cabs through the State Beach Resort & Spa, for pick up and drop to the airport and in & around kannur/to the restaurants and beaches, over all, it was a fun trip. Avoid visiting during summertime, the heat & humidity is unbearable

Location is superb, entry passage in narrow, cars are often seen reversing when opposite traffic picks up during peak hours, once inside the property it’s a different vibe. Loved the theme of the resort. They don’t have any swimming pools to compliment the stunning views. The rooms are not well maintained. Tiny parts of the room like the flush buttons, toilet door locks were broken and presented a picture of neglect. Restaurant and buffet was good. One can easily spend a night here, anything more than that would not be worth the price.

The property is located near the beach on a cliff with a beautiful view of the sea. Stayed at suite which has a balcony facing sea side and excellent view. No words for the suite rooms. Beautiful interiors so spacious with all other accessories in working conditions. Beds are huge with additional sofa cum bed. Little disappointed with the breakfast as very less menu and the service starts little late at 8. 30 am. Other then this issue all looks great. Looks the best property in kannur.

The location of the resort is quite exquisite. It's on a cliff and it's a direct drop to the sea. The breeze and the view are breathtaking. It's truly worth a stay and if possible can also be an excellent honeymoon location if you intend to spend a lot of time just relaxing on your balcony. I strongly recommend the suite if you can get it. The corner suite or kerala suite provides a wrap around balcony and uninterrupted view of the sea as it crashes on the waves.

Overall the ambience and State Beach Resort & Spa accommodation was really good. We booked state resort for our maternity shoot. It was a perfect selection. The room and exterior elements are really great. The state resort team is really friendly and professional. Room with beach view balcony is highly recommended for a pleasant stay. There are some points to improve like wifi need to be improved and no beach access.

Our three night four day staff was fantastic. The State Beach Resort & Spa offered us a free upgrade to a larger room with a wraparound balcony with the best ocean views. Breakfast was adequate. Our three delicious dinners included a grilled chicken dish, kebabs, a biryani and soups. We recommend this place for those who love the sound and feel of the sea. Hotel staff were very helpful and provided prompt service.

We had a pleasant stay at state beach resort. We had landed in kannur much ahead of the check in time and the front office folks were more than happy to help us with an early check in and they also accommodated our request for an upgrade. The staff at the restaurant and the salon/spa were really helpful and we had a very pleasant stay at the property. Would recommend this place to anybody visiting kannur.

The resort provides a wonderful view of the sea that is bound to soothe anyone. The rooms are well maintained and aesthetically pleasing. Staff is well behaved. The resort cannot be easily spotted without a map, but this adds charm to the location.
The rooms and the lobby were clean and well sanitized.

Every room has an awesome view of the sea. The service is beyond expectations. Food was good. But they need to introduce local kerala cuisine. They also need to improve upon the choice in breakfast as well. Overall, it was an unexpectedly good stay.

We went as couple and had a grit exprnce. Service was excellent. Food is little costly but tastes good. Also they were were organised with everything and fully maintained covid guidelines. As we went for our vakentine night. We asked for a candle light dinner and they arranged it. It was grit that they managed to make it happen in small time. I wud prefer this resort as must visit place.

Like the location, staff was friendly and quality of food was good, swimming pool was missing

We were very happy once we entered our suite with a view to die for. The breakfast is good with variety. The menu for the lunch and dinner is very limited and should have more variety. Another issue is about transportation. The resort should have there own arrangements for vehicle.

The stay at the resort has exceeded our expectations. Their rooms, their staff, their hospitality and more than anything, the location, everything was perfect. We will definitely recommend it to all - families, friends and couples alike.

Very good and nice services and food very grateful

We travel a lot, and of course stay at various State Beach Resort & Spas and resorts. This was one of our best experiences so far. Kannur doesn’t have many things to offer to a traveler but we would love to visit kannur again just to stay in this property. The birds eye view to the ocean, the interior of the suit, super tasty food, services and facilities made our journey memorable.
