Lake view room

The property is beautifully maintained, with comfortable rooms. The staff were very courteous and thoroughly professional. Although the rooms are very beautiful with Kerela architecture and comfortable, there is a faint smell of pigeon poop in the balcony. It is a vast property and has pigeons around so can't help it I guess. Not an issue when you're inside the room, though. The complementary sunset cruise is not to be missed and takes you through the beautiful backwaters. Overall, had a very pleasant stay.

Poor Stay

The maintenance of property is poor mainly indoors. No proper cleaning. There were no towels in the room. We had to repeatedly ask for things that are said to be complementary . Restaurant service is very poor. They can't manage rush hours. Employees lack communication skills and not properly directed. Food doesn't taste good and had to pay a high price for bad food

Overall experience was good in terms of view food activities etc. Staff was courteous, prompt and nice. Only thing needs work is the GYM which seems abandoned with rusty plates, broken equipment, no towels or water and no one to attend to the customers.

*Amazing experience* For 2 nights, I along with family stayed at Sterling Alleppey. Hotel is surrounded by backwaters and rice fields, with a beautiful view from all rooms. Food was very good. Staff was supportive. Hotel staff arranged for House boat trip and Kayaking, which was on of a kind experience. This time.. Disappointed!!!

I had a wonderful stay at this resort in the past, but my recent visit was a different experience. The rooms did not seem to be well-maintained, and there were several insects in both the bed and the living area. I also noticed that the water in the washrooms had a strong, unpleasant smell, similar to that of recycled water. The food quality was also not as high as it was during my previous visit. For the price point, I would have expected a much better experience. Overall, it was an average stay, and I was a bit disappointed.

Great location... very neat rooms and good service. Staff was friendly and responsive. The only slight disappointment was the dinner. I was expecting authentic kerala cuisine but it really wasn’t the case. Though they served a few tastes from the region, it wasn’t great. Breakfast was decent with some really great dishes.

Wonderful, serene and a complete holiday resort

Stay was good, rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful and nice to us. I loved the Hi-tea time everyday. Breakfast needs a little attention, we expected a little better from sterling, however, the chef was very kind and each and every hotel staff was very helpful and courteous!
