Sterling Puri

I stayed with my daughter prasanthi from august 1st and 2nd 2024 in the resort in puri. This was our first stay in sterling resorts puri. Indeed memorable and exciting. We were welcomed with the traditional namaskar which continued wherever we went, - front office, room area, restaurants, swimming pool area. The front office was full of natural smiles and treated us with absolute courtesy. Mr bignesh and mr ranjit the managers for housekeeping and fo, spoke with us with natural flavour without those artificial smiles and talk we see in airlines. One mr vignan from fo took us to the room and made us feel a probable heaven on earth. Absolute clean and neat room. Surprised to see a small paper in the docket for lighting so that the room was well lit as we entered without requiring us to place our key card inside. That was a real welcome into a well lit room unlike a dark room we are generally used to that we have to light up with our key card. From then onward s it was the most satisfying stay. At the dinner, the chef came and inquired if all was well, followed by his assistant perhaps, in charge of the indian cuisine. He was standing with us and sharing his knowledge and suggesting further cuisine. Like a mother taking care of the child. And the waitress lady serving with immaculate efficiency and ofcourse with a natural smile. Need to mention about the design of the resort which is just excellent. An open front office with no doors. A beautiful view of the sea shore which is just about 200 metres, a lovely blue and clean swimming pool, spa, children's recreation room. I and my daughter felt emotional as we were checking out, as we felt as if we are leaving home. Bignesh and his team, manju the guest relations bid us a warm good bye. Having been in the hospitality industry for almost three decades, i was keenly observing the micros of their hospitality towards customers. I can only say that their staff must have been so well trained that each of them right from security to room service to housekeeping and f&b have ensured fabulous delivery of their skills that was awesome. I look forward to my next visit at the earliest with my entire family again to enjoy the food and hospitality of this wonderful heaven on earth. God bless sterling resorts and their entire team.

We have been associated with sterling puri since early 2010 and have watched this property grow into the beautiful resort it's currently been. Along-with the property, we have seen the staff grow also into warm, caring, super hospitable and extremely friendly people. Normally i would say great things about the place, but i want to dedicate this review specially to the people who made our stay special. 1. Our huge thanks to the front desk team, ranjeet babu and feroza and team for making our vacation start so smooth, and ensuring we get the rooms with beautiful views. 2. The housekeeping staff who ensured our rooms were spic and span and dry even in this wet monsoon weather. 3. The awesome restaurant staff led by shafat sir, reaching out to each guest personally, getting little and big surprises for the kids and guests. 4. Special thanks to the chef abhijeet nag, sujon, simran and many excellent talented staff behind the scenes making the yummiest food and desserts you can get in a resort. We were privileged to take a kitchen tour and trust me when i say our food comes out of this clean and hygienic place. The chef's personally spoke with all guests, always ready to go the distance to make our evening special. Overall we had an awesome stay and didn't feel like getting back home. We are looking forward to visiting again and meeting all these friends we left behind. Thanks sterling puri team for sharing these special moments with us.

Sterling puri good clean rooms with good clean comfortable beds with good lighting, cupboard big enough to accommodate 4people clothes with a locker mini fridge with electric kettle tv small 18-24 inch probably large one is needed. Small balcony with a small clothes hanger for drying good all around ambience with coconut trees and 2-3 amphitheaters for evening entertainment which was huge positive for my family sea is near -100 metre but you have to cross a drain to the river which is flowing into the sea. Water is clean but it is relatively secluded but you can see many fishermen catching fish as water is maximum waist deep where river is joining sea. Regarding service people are good and very well behaved willing to help always. Food is good but on the expensive side. Complimentary morning breakfast is very good and has great variety of foods options. Hotel entrance is big and grand looks beautiful. Parking lot is big and is located near entrance only. Lacks gym but has a swimming pool with 2 and 4 feet depth but no risk for kids. Water was clean. Big drawback was location -far from lighthouse also about 1-2 km. So you should have a vehicle for transport. So overall grade 5 with special reference to room, ambience and service.

I had booked for a 3 night stay in sterling puri. The property is indeed great although placed on the outer perimeter of puri. But in terms of service i would say its not worth the money you are paying. You can have a similar service with way more less price in properties ever nearer to puri city centre. To highlight, i will share an incident: i was called my someone from Sterling Puri to know if everything was going fine. I conveyed that i had booked for a classic room but made a request to give a sea view room (they have classic sea view rooms which they don’t list online. Whatever extra if required i will pay. I made this request 2 months prior to my stay. The Sterling Puri representative asked to meet and sort out the issue. As i was on my way to the jagannath temple i could not meet then but i had called the person as soon as i reached back to the Sterling Puri. The Sterling Puri representative said she will get back in 10 mins but never heard back since. If a customer concern cannot be attended and we can get every other service in lesser price in some other property then not sure what is the high charge we are paying for.

Beautiful and huge resort at puri. We visited with family from 14th to 17th feb24. It has clean rooms, very courteous staff, well maintained pool and recreation room for kids. The resort has two restaurants, one with exclusive odiya food and the other utkal with general food. Both are good with complimentary breakfast having wide spread of dishes from south indian to generic. The food seems to bit expensive though. The temple is around 5 kms from resort and one needs to take auto, which is at the gate of resort. They charge 300 for a family. The resort also arranges taxi for local sight seeing. This also i found bit expensive compared to others. I hired a taxi from make my trip for airport drop as i felt it was a saving of whooping 1200 rs. Overall it is a very good experience to be in this resort and enjoy a peaceful vaccation

we had a wonderful stay at sterling puri. the staff were incredibly courteous and always ready to assist. a highlight of our visit was the food – the chef prepared and served meals that were absolutely delicious, making us feel right at home. although all staff members were extremely helpful and courteous however one particular staff member, mr. vigyan, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. on our first day, he shared his mobile number in case we needed anything during our stay. on the last day, we accidentally left a suitcase behind at the Sterling Puri, and mr. vigyan promptly helped us get it delivered to the airport. in all honesty, every odia person we encountered in puri was just as warm and welcoming, which made our experience even more memorable.

I had an excellent stay at sterling. We were travel-ling with our 7 month old for the first time and were apprehensive about little things. However, the Sterling Puri staff helped with each and every thing. The room was spacious and clean, food in the restaurant was good and the staff was even better. Special thanks to laxmipriya for taking care of our little one while we were having our food. The Sterling Puri even helped us with contacts in temple for a smooth visit. They made baby food as well and the service was lovely. There was even a odia dance performance for our entertainment. Overall, i would love to visit again and recommend everyone to stay here for a beautiful experience.

Sterling puri provides a memorable ambience and good service at their end. A surely visit if going with family.

Overall good experience but a lot's to improve. Food was great and staff were amazing and very welcoming. You can get hassle free auto and car rentals from reception which is a plus. We booked classic room which was decent size but had mosquitoes for which they provided an all out and mo-see electric racket which did the trick and we had no issues after that. Room cleaning and inhouse keeping needs to improve. Pool closes at 7:00 pm even during summer which is a bummer so you can't take a late evening dips. Some amenities in the gaming room you need to pay for like pool etc and some are free like carrom, tt and chess. Overall good experience.

Everything is memorable, we are in this property for 1 day with family, everything is just perfect.

The entire staff were ever smiling & helpful. The ambience was very good. Buffet menu was well chosen to cater to different indian palates. The rooms were spotless y clean. House keeping was always a call away. The odisa cusine restaurant was good and sabitri the head waitress patiently explained each dish all with a smile on her face. Her menu selection for us was excellent

The property is nice and staff from front office to all ares is good. Supported very wee-ll to an injured person. In front office manju/mrianjay and-support anita was good. In-restaurant loopamudra host is very nice and in kitchen shic prepared spl dishes for us

The resort is at a good location. Very quite peaceful and sea view rooms are very good. Sahil was a gentleman among the staff that are polite and joyful. Happy to stay here will recommend for a stay when in puri.

Beautiful place to stay. Staff deeptesh, manju very helpful always there to help. The property has positive vibes. Food here is excellent. Surely recommend this property to all.

Location is average. Food is good. Amenities inside room are good. Not very good if you open the curtains. Service is not guest friendly on a rainy day.

The resort is largely spread with good view of the sea and courteous and generous staff around. We had free breakfast buffet at utkala, and the food was good with lot of options. The swimming pool is also well maintained and quite accessible. Good sitting area near reception for guests and welcome drinks as soon as you arrive. But few things could be taken care more by resort team like cleanliness of garden areas, ground room dampness, road to resort could be temporarily fixed atleast ( muddy rough road, dark on night, bit confusing to identify the resort for first time goers even with the board at corner. Mostly the rooms need ventilaton, even with privelage suite we felt suffocated. Expected more in terms of service from staff. Overall a good stay.
