Sterling Thekkady

I would rate Sterling Thekkady 3. 5/5* security day shift - 5/5 night shift - 0/5 front desk - 5/5 resturant staff - 4/5 (show some smile) cleanliness - 3. 5/5 rooms cleaned but didn't feel like cleaned. Flood dust was found when day 1 occupied and after day 2 cleaned. Beds & linens - 5/5 very clean no issues bathroom fittings - 3/5 flush had issues for all 3 days (3 days, 2 nights) inspit of repair it was not working properly. So we stopped using large flush button and started using small flush button. Room ventilation is good because of ac, but living area ventilation is bad. Food - 3. 5/5 we had only complimentary breakfast. Both days 99% of the menu was same. So felt bored. We traveled to thekkady from munnar but from a 3 star Sterling Thekkady which had better options. Also, we had listed so many local restaurants which we were trying differently every time. So, good to explore local food there as many options you get. Suggestions: 1) make room cleaning better. 2) clean and fit right bathroom fittings. 3) hot water is not that great. 4) keep good security during night also. 5) provide good lighting in parking area. At least with light control to security. 6) change the breakfast options on daily basis.

Stayed for two nights there. Had a nice stay there location-ally excellently positioned. One-might hear roar of a tiger from periyar tiger reserve or herd of elephants trumpeting from the Sterling Thekkady room if lucky. It is so close to periyar lake. One can take a detour to kerala's rich cultural heritage through the nuances of kathakali and kariapayattu performance done every eveningin auditorium in stone's throw distance from the Sterling Thekkady. Hotel staff are full of keralite warmth and welcome. Rooms are spacious and squeaky clean.

The stay was comfortable, the staff is very pleasing, they responded even in the mid night and assisted, travel desk was really helpful, they arranged taxis for transportation at all times when ever needed. They even gave a early access on request and extended my stay for last day till my bus time of course with extra charges. We were actually very happy for the good food they offered at the stay. Breakfast and location : 5 star ( best breakfast i ever had) bar: 1 star ( no bar at all just for a sack of name) swimming pool : 3 star ( no umbrellas in the swimming area other than that it is a nice pool) rooms : 4 rooms have good space with a dining area, sitting area with extra bed in the living area and balcony. If you want a bar and swimming for a chill this would not be a good option for you.

Location is in main road. Super amenities i. E. Cozy bed, bathtub, dryer, kettle & all coffee dental kits. Buffet breakfast south indian & continental were too good. Partially good view. Rooftop pool and it's view & ambience is superb. Enjoyed a lot. Nearby tiger reserve, jeep & elephant safari arranged. Spa & bar were there. Nearby toddy shop is also there.

This is a really good place to stay and also cost-effective. We booked the basic category room but even that room was beyond expectation. So yeah! you can prefer staying at sterling. We stayed there for just 1 night but it was a relaxing stay! the only thing that i felt they can improve is to offer more variety in their bathroom essentials. Rest is good!

Sterling thekkady is a conveniently located good Sterling Thekkady for tourists and business travellers. Rooms are good spacious and clean. Most of the rooms are having balcony and a view of mountains around. Food in the restaurant is average with limited manu. The rooftop swimming pool is having good view of nature around. Travel desk is helpful.

The stay was great. We also got to check in early and the room amenities where great. The price was also decent considering the new years eve. Only sad part was the restaurant was not open on 31st night because of the new year gala (which we where not interested to join, so we had to go out for dinner. The breakfast assortment was amazing.

It's was good and luxury experience. Hotel was good, room space is big. Enjoyed the stay. Done.

Stay was was very good. Near and clean property. Location is very near to major tourist spots. Food was tasty but there can be many more dishes.

Good stay and nice ambience

The Sterling Thekkady location is very near to Periyar Reserve Forest entrance, and staff is very helpful to assist in sightseeing options. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner buffet has variety and good/healthy taste. Rooms are spacious and well maintained, with all basic amenities required.

Rooms were clean and big, food was okay. We didn't get any wifi throughout our stay. The issue wasn't resolved even after insistence which was the only downside.

We had an excellent stay in this awesome facility. All the staff members were courteous. Jino and his team in the restaurant had offered sumptuous food with utmost care and took care of all our food preferences. Overall great experience to consider visiting again when possible.
