Sterling Yercaud

I travel-led to this property and stayed there from 5th till 7th july 2024. We are a couple who had 2 senior citizens, 1 child, 1 infant accompanying us. We booked a family room, which offered 1. A spacious balcony with a fantastic view of the valley 2. The rooms were not connected and had separate entrances although next to each other 3. 1st room had a small living room with kitchen space, electric water heater, small fridge, a sofa cum bed. The bedroom needed a climb up the stairs with an attached small sit-out area. The bathroom was next to the room, near the stairs. 4. 2nd bedroom was a climb down, had a small study unit and attached bathroom. 5. Please note, you need to climb a few stairs for bathroom access, which is typically inconvenient for senior citizens and bit risky for small kids. Needs parents supervision. The property offers one of the best scenic views with ladys and gent's seat, rose garden accessible within walking distance. The property has small playground for kids, indoor games (some paid, and evening bon-fire and entertainment activities for the guest. Food was pricey and taste was average. Service was prompt. Overall choose this Sterling Yercaud for its location.

I went with family with 2 kids and parents and stayed for 2 nights weekend. I will definitely say the view from the room is wow. But it's not recommended for elderly people because of the stairs which they have to climb makes it very difficult. Property is old with old amenities in the room which doesn't suit a 4 star catagory Sterling Yercaud like sterling and they definitely need to upgrade for the price we pay for the room. The complimentary breakfast was good. We had dinner buffet which was + taxes and it was not worth that money. Property had play area for kids indoor game and ps4 on chargeable basis which was good time pass for kids. The main plus for this resort is definitely the view from the room and the hospitality by the staffs. Draw back is monkey trouble at your balcony and honey bee during nights which makes kids and elders uncomfortable. Overall we had a good stay. If i had plans again will think twice or thrice to book this room.

We, a family of 3 stayed at the property from 3rd to 5th oct 23. The management was considerate enough to allot us the best room suitable for senior citizens on their own, even without my asking. After the booking through mmt, they called to confirm that we were seniors. Morning shows the day. Thereafter everything was excellent, from room cleaning service to hospitality in the restaurant. The event manager did a good entertainment in the evening by organising games, dance etc among the guests. The location and the layout of the property on the sloping hills starting at the highest point of the hill too is excellent.

I stayed in sterling yercaud Sterling Yercaud for 4 days and it was a pleasant experience! the staff were polite and provided good service. Room service was very quick! the food was really awesome! we had buffet for few days and also tried ala carte also at night. Really loved it. Thanks to kuldip at the restaurant for providing great dining experience. Enjoyed good cocktails from the bar which i never expected. We also tried off road trip arranged by the discovery team at sterling and it was good! overall had a fabulous vacation with my family! thanks to sterling and the makemytrip partner!

Nice pleasant and peaceful stay. Beautiful views from windows. Nice ambience and good food. After entey in yercaud, almost at all turns, direction boards were available, hence no issue in reaching the destination. Welcomed by nice welcome drink. Within a few minutes, i got the room keys. Here to note all the rooms are not accessible through lifts, hence we need to climb down like 4 to 5 floor to reach our room. Luggage was carried by staff, hence no issue. However, it needs to be informed in advance if any senior citizens are in a group. Paid for premium room, but the room was not with ac.

We booked the studio room (premium room) for 2 nights and the room faced the valley. Since our room was right on top we had such an amazing view from the balcony. It just felt like we were living in the clouds. The food was also quite good. We opted for breakfast and dinner (buffet) and the spread and taste were really nice. But beware of the monkeys because they are quite notorious and snatch away any food from the room if you leave your door or window open- they snatched away a baby's milk bottle and ran away. The property's guard does walk around with a gun to shoo the monkeys away.

Sterling yercaud was an amazing destination to relax. Atmosphere, ambience was great especially the food was delicious, staff- venki, palasha, smitha and lady wearing glasses made us comfortable. Chef ayushman frequently interacted and took the feedback about the food and suggestions for improvement. Reception and security staff were kind and helping. We would highly recommend our family and friends sterling yercaud and it is nearby to all the tourists spots. Waiting to visit again. We enjoyed. Thank you sterling yercaud team

Excellent property. Very well maintained. Scenic views from property is amazing. Staffs are supportive and maintain good hospitality. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at sterling resort, yercaud. I stayed for 3 nights during christmas time. The events were very well managed. A special mention of mr. Mithun (event manager) who kept the guests well engaged during game organised for guests. They have good spread for breakfast. In room dinning comes with limet if i visit yercaud next time, i would prefer to stay at sterling resort.

Property is excellent and food is so tasty and hygiene only thing is monkey torture and more over try to allot good parking other than that everything super

Prime location of the resort along with good food and ambience made the stay memorable. The resort had all the services for a family holiday.

Locality of the property is mesmerizing. Its situated at the best part of yercaud. Service is very quick. Food served are very delicious. Only concern i had was parking space as there were many vehicles.

View from Sterling Yercaud rooms are excellent. Hotel located near lake and other tourist locations. Overall good experience

Sterling never disappoints, resort is old but the location, the view, the amenities and food are all world class, they retain standard for a holiday stay, nothing over the top but everything just rightly balanced especially if you compare with other resorts in yercaud

Great place to live and beautiful view of the valley. The staff was helpful and courteous. Fun activities for kids to do while stay. Great food.

Yeah must say, perfect ambience, a nature lover will love to stay here. Hospitality is great in terms of restaurant mgr n their team, reception desk will be highly appreciated whereas felt little bloom in bar arena where there is no perfect sitting and ambience facility. Food is up to the mark with less cuisine variety.

I booked the privilege suite and enjoyed the stay with the scenic view. Sumptuous breakfast was very satisfying

We spent 2 nights at sterling yercaud. All in all, it was a good experience. The biggest highlight is the location of the property. It is right on the cliff and offers breathtaking view of the valley and sale m town. Rooms were tidy and clean, thanks to housekeeping staff sundar and ravi, though they need some maintenance now. Food was good with decent variety and options.

Self and wife had been confined to our home for tha last 4 years; first due to ‘corona’, later due to a major set back in my health and finally due to total knee replacement for my wife. The allotment of rooms for us and my daughter was very thoughtful, with only a few steps to a convenient lift. The staff had been courteous and helpful. The rooms were well appointed. The food was a good selection of verity, hot and tasty. Reassured us we could be ‘ on move’ now. Thanks

Ultimate is one of the best things you can get out of the room. The property is a bit old but it's manageable. The wash room needs some ventilation. The approach to the place is a bit difficult on the weekends due to traffic.
