Sukoon Houseboat

This is the best houseboat and totally justifies the price you pay for. Staff - one of the best i have seen comparing with even 5 star Sukoon Houseboats. Most of them have a degree and Sukoon Houseboat management and are very well behaved. Food - best wazwaan i had in entire kashmir. Better than ahdoos. They even prepared special khichdi for our 18 month old baby which she liked very much. Vibe - they organize musical evening everyday from 5 to 6pm where singers perform different bollywood and sufi songs. It is amazing to lit up your day with dal lake on the background. Rooms - rooms are of good size with almost all the facilities you need. They provide herbal water which has medicinal property which is good but you may not like the taste. For us, it was alright. Pickup and drop is complementary through shikara ride ghat number 19a. Welcome drink is served on arrival. Live breakfast was organized where you order and they prepare. They organized candle light dinner for us. The food choice had to be given 2 hours prior to the dinner time and it was totally customizable. Thank you sukoon for an awesome stay on the serene dal lake and atmosphere which truly had sukoon in it.

Wow! We’ were overwhelmed by the hospitality and the beauty of the place! So serene, so tranquil…so peaceful.Woodwork inside the houseboat is so beautiful and the meals covered continental and Indian cuisine. Fruit was great. I loved the choice of juices. It was just right and not excess and wasteful.All in all fabulous. Our host Bashir (sp?) always had a smile on his face seemed to take pleasure in his job.We look forward to coming back with the family!

Sukoon stands true to its name, it indeed provides a peaceful stay. Few notable touches is their commitment towards sustainability through small steps, such as nine usage of plastic water bottles, mini toiletteries or trash bags. The food is excellent and so is the hospitality of basheer bhai. The commute from ghat to boat is very easy and enjoyable too. Our only regret is the limited one day stay. Looking forward to a stay at sukoon again.

The best houseboat in dal lake. Location, stay, view, food, staff, ambiance everything was just amazing. Service was excellent, staffs are always with smiling face. We stayed in shalimar, room was beautiful and very spacious. View from the terrace is very attractive, specially in the evening. Food is great, kashmiri thali is a must try. I suggest everyone to stay at least stay for one night to have a wonderful experience.

The houseboat was very beautiful, all the interior, the room, the washroom everything was clean and perfect. Heaters and geysers were working proper which made us sleep cozy and warm, and the hospitality was very amazing, if we are feeling cold, they gave us hot bags to keep us more warm, the evening hi tea, dinner and breakfast was wholesome and delicious. All in all it was an excellent and enjoyable experience for us.

It was an amazing stay with sukoon. We were first guests as they re-opened on 14-feb-23. Valentines celebration arranged on the deck with live music was amazing and out of this world. Thank you bashir and riaz. Food was amazing and very well prepared. Chef understands it all. Out of the stays we had in kashmir, this was an epic stay with sukoon. Kudos to sukoon team.

Best houseboat on the lake. Great location away from the crowded parts of the lake. The high tea, dinner and breakfast were all great ! the decor was elegant and the room was cozy and warm. Special shout-out to mr. Babu and mr. Vipin who were our houseboat staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back !

Too good, service is awesome, the chef cooks whatever you wish to order just inform beforehand and it will be served to you, one of the best location in Dal Lake, the view from its deck enchants you, with the warmth of there service is the cherry on the cake. They have private boat which you can take for Lake rides and floating market.

Experience are very good. It's location was nice and room was very spacious. Property was well-maintained. Staff is good and helpful. Breakfast options are limited but taste was nice. It's really value for money.

Right from the grand welcome by providing kahwa tea, arranging shikara for us, high tea, dinner and breakfast. Everything was excellent. Staff were very polite. Rooms are artistically and beautifully carved through wooden work. Bathroom were neat and clean. Wish we had spent more time there.

Amazing hospitality, extremely courteous staff, very hygienic and delicious food. Perfect place to have Sukoon in the middle of Dal Lake with amazing views.

Simply awesome one of the best Houseboat at Dal Lake. Staff is totally polite and provide end to end services. One thing I missed that is TV in room. I recommend if you go Srinagar and wanna stay at houseboat. So choose Sukoon.

The name says it all, it was a sukoon experience. The food was fab especially the breakfast. The rooms were neat and tidy. The staff was very friendly. Would recommend it to everyone

Sukoon houseboat is a must on a Kashmir trip. Their hospitality, the interiors, the luxury made our stay extra ordinary. Will surely go back for a longer stay.
