So if you want a good mountain view (not from tiger hill but from your room, please choose family rooms. Our room was spacious. When requested for room heater, they did provide us with blower and good thing is they didn't take any additional charges for that, unlike many Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Roads in darjeeling. The landmark to this Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road is jai complex (everyone knows this place. You need to take a 2-3 walk from jai complex. I won't categorize this a negative point as you don't get everything at a budget-friendly price. If you want everything, book ramada or viceroy or mayfair. They literally will treat you as a celebrity with good facilities and extra sweetness. Otherwise speaking, this was a perfect one for anyone who wants to explore darjeeling & not sit in the room the entire day. Plus, it's good to stay in locality. There's local market adjoining to our Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road. So during evening hours, we took a stroll around. Visited florist shop and more. We also visited mall road at around 7. 30pm on 1st nov'22 & returned close to 11pm (it's completely safe. It's around 10mins walk from the Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road (if you're a slow walker, otherwise for normal walk it should take you 6-7mins max to reach mall road. From mall road, closest is the olive tej & ramada but olive staff weren't that welcoming honestly, for which we didn't book their Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road. It was a splendid stay with amazing and welcoming staff of sumitel suites & spa. I celebrated my wife's birthday here, and have ordered cake from nomnom (wildberry cheese cake) which is another best cake shop. Be the locality or the staff or the Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road's hygiene. Everything is the best of all. I would highly recommend this place. Sumi yashshree has 4 properties in darjeeling, this is one of them. I am sure, all their staff in all the 4 properties are awesome. Will visit again.

I have stayed in bigger brands than Sumitel across various places (including the metros) in India but seldom do you find a team of staff as polite and helpful like the ones at Sumitel. First, I would like to give a shout out to Sonisha Gurung, who went out of her was to help us out on every single thing we needed assistance in. We can't thank her enough. You can easily mistake her for someone who has spent her time in Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Roads like the Oberois or the Westin. Such is her service levels. Well spoken, polite and a lady who champions Customer Service. I would also like to name Siddharth & Bikalp, who will never say "no" to anything you ask them for. They are kindest blokes I've seen in a Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road. Finally, there is Raksha at the restaurant. The warm smile she greets you with at the breakfast is infectious. You need something, ask for Raksha. The rooms in the Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road are great with a good view of Kanchenjunga. However, you need to ask for basic things like hand towels or heater, which might not be provided otherwise. Car (hired/ self owned) will not reach the property. You need to walk around 50 mtrs to get there. Hotel staff however will help you drop or pick up your luggage. The only thing that could be better is the food at the restaurant. The quality could be better (although it is not bad). The spread could be wider as well. The options for breakfast are the same every day. That's a bummer! Overall, I strongly recommend Sumitel if you are planning a trip to Darjeeling. Do reach out to Sonisha at the front desk. She can make a good stay, brilliant!

After looking for many Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Roads which is located close to toy train station & also got a triple bed room to accomdate 3 people, we finally selected this for our stay at darjeeling. To start with we were greeted with a warm welcome at the reception & the check-in process was really fast. The Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road is centrally located & is very close to the main road (hardly 2-3 mts. Walk, about 150 mts) & is just 10 mts. Walk from darjeeling toy train station. We didn't find any difficulty in locating it. Breakfast offered everyday was really good, excellent buffet, served hot with lots of variety to choose from. Room service was also very good. A bakery called as nom nom which is located inside the Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road building has an excellent variety of cakes, puff, pastries etc. & was really nice. Overall, we truly enjoyed our 5 nights stay in the Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road & look forward to stay again whenever we plan to visit darjeeling.

The location is apt for visiting central part of the hill station. The mountain view is a plus point with lot of light in the room. The iconic mall road is close-by and so are the shopping areas. The entrance to Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road is not accecible by car. However, the Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road staff were kind enough to help with our luggage. On sight seeing days, had to wait a while for car on the road. Can be compensated by the driver by arriving on time. The restaurant food is good and tasty. Breakfast lacks variety. The room service closes at 10 pm and opens only at 0730 am. Not ideal of you need a hot bed tea early in the morning. However, we were provided with a packed breakfast for the early morning trip to tiger hills. Amenities are great, with hot water always and good clean bathroom and bed linen. The staff is courteous and soft spoken.

The stay was good, it's a bit difficult to locate the Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road but that's the same with all Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Roads in darjeeling. All Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Roads are staggered on slopes. Food is great, if you are living here then it's better to eat here looking for other options may just be a hassle, in fact we found the food here better than glenary's when compared taste wise. They even have a korean cafe and cake shop. The primary reason to be here is the location, as soon as you hop out there is the local market and in a few minutes you can be at mall road, darjeeling railway station we even walked to peace pagoda, zoo and h mi. If you take room with balcony, you can view the kanchenjunga range at your convenience if weather is clear. Rooms interior is a bit old but they are clean and decent.

Pros: the stay was very pleasant. This was our first time stay in sumitel. The cleanliness and the vibes is up to the mark. The behavior of the staffs is very polite. The room service is prompt. The kanchanjangha view from the room melt my heart. This Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road is one of those rare Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road in darjeeling which has its lift service activated. Overall experience was very good. Cons: one and only negative is there is no car parking available in the Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road. One need to walk 2mins to reach the Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road through market. A little tough for elderly people.

The Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road is really good and has big, clean and spacious rooms. It has a really good bathroom which has a big water heater and a great shower area. Most importantly, the rooms smell great with no bad odour. The room service and staff are also courteous and overall it's a great place to stay. The icing on the cake is the view from the large window from your room which shows kanchenjunga in all its glory. Totally worth the price and would definitely recommend to both families and couples planning a trip to the hill station.

Everything was good specially food. I have stayed there with my family. I really enjoyed my stay. Only location of Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road is bit inside from main road. You can go there by walk. But car/taxi cannot go inside. It’s hardly 100 meter from main road. But if you call at Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road they will send their staff at main road to assist you. Overall i have enjoyed my stay. I recommend this Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road.

The experience of staying at summitel Sumitel Hotel 500 meters from Mall Road was quite good. It was just 500 metres from mall. We got a kanchanjangha view room. The behaviour of stuffs was nice. Room was comfortable. They even gave a hair dryer. That was awesome. Overall it was nice.

Hotel room is very spacious and clean. All staff were supportive and food quality was really delicious with quick delivery. It is very close to main market, bus and taxi stand and mall road.

Room was quite good. Amenities were also good. Haven't tried food, so no comment on that.
