Summer Cottage

As a traveller from east africa, summer cottage is an excellent homestay for backpackers or any traveller thinking of staying in kumily -thekady. The owner and his family are very caring and responsible. The homestay is also located closer to elephant parks and tiger game reserve, spicy gardens and all biggest tourist attractions around the area so you don't have to waste alot of money with transportation. I really had an excellent experience as a backpacker from africa.

The stay was comfortable. Location was good. The room has enough space for two persons. Staff was cooperative. Power backup facility was there, but the capacity was low. We were unable to charge the phone and also unable to use the tv through power back up after power cut. I would suggest them to improve the capacity of power backup. Apart from this everything was well and good. I will recommend this one to others.

I was allotted room in this home-stay. The guy Anoop is so friendly. He is staying in the ground floor. For all the help he was accessible. Very near to Kumily bus stand. There is only one charging points points in our room. So if you need to put more devices simultaneously it is not possible. Everything else was really good. Thank you anoop. Will stay here again if I go to Kumily again.

Owners anup was an excellent host supported by his parents. Good green ambience, spacious rooms, hygiene toilets. All of them at a nominal price compared to other Summer Cottages around. They also have spices shop and sell good products at reasonable rates. Anup will mention final prices after discount and will not reduce further

This is a very nice and cozy place. It's walkable distance from the main market. One can hear lots of birds chirping and can spot many birds in the property. There was no kitchen in standard room, but i guess that's available for deluxe houses. The host is nice and we had a smooth checkin/checkout.

Clean and hygienic rooms, good ventilation and good sunset view. Worth every penny spent and not to cost to wallet. For travelers, best option with all sightseeing and adventure activities booking at discounted rates.
Worth for every penny. Must stay for budget travelers.

it was decent for the price charged. The location was very close to the bus stand. There was no wifi available. Beds were decent and since we went during winter the fan was sufficient and we could get a good nights sleep. Overall i would say it’s worth the price

The host Anoop was very kind and approachable. He welcomed us even though we reached at 11 PM and gave us information about the nearby places. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Only drawback I found is, there were less plug-points to charge your mobiles.

Good Summer Cottage to stay with decent price

Meet our expectations, a good place.

Stay was good, owner was good, room was having balcony and swing and place had a garden as well so environment was good. Rooms are very clean.

Really it's good cottage and we came late night, they are waiting for us. Room and bathroom are very clean. I like and suggest to other can come and stay.

Value for money and comfortable location. Host is good. All amenities are there but do not expect a star Summer Cottage like bed, bath room etc.
