Summit Ttakshang Residency Hotel & Spa (MG Marg)

I stayed with my 7 year old kid with Summit Ttakshang for 8 nights. I was working remotely while enjoying the serene views and hospitality offered by them. Not only was I able to carry on working remotely with perfect WIFI, everything was very comfortable including the stay, food, room service. I booked the Suite room with balcony which gives a beautiful view of the Kanchenjunga on a clear day. The suite has a drawing room with sofa and a spacious bedroom and a spacious bathroom with 24 hrs hot water supply and a hair dryer!! Room also has a heater which is a necessity during winters. Balcony is spacious and 2 people can enjoy tea and chat for hours! Food is very tasty, we tried literally almost everything from chowmein, kung pao chicken, sweet n sour chicken, to chicken biryani, chicken curry, aloo parantha, and fish fingers and pasta!! Everything was very delicious. The location is just perfect. You get to reach MG road by walk and by stairs. The walk is a beautiful one with clean roads and is approx 1.5 km while the stairs have approx 90 steps but let you reach Mg road in under 5-10 mins. We enjoyed going there by both the ways while enjoying some mother son chats 😀 The staff is very courteous and helpful. They were always there to assist and ensured we had a comfortable stay. All in all, I’d love to go back and stay with them again. I highly recommend for anyone visiting Gangtok.

Room was very beautiful. We stayed there for 3 days. We opted for Suite room with Private Balcony. Housekeeping service, food and other things were good except few small things which required a mention. For Housekeeping services, I will rate 4.5 out of 5. For Food, I will rate 4.8 out of 5. For attending to queries, I will rate 4.5 out of 5. For other amenities and services, I will rate 3 out of 5. Overall stay rating will be 4 out of 5. We faced issues regarding Electricity and water geyser. Twice we faced Electricity cut and moreover, we had to wait for hours for Hot water in washroom as Water Geyser was not working. Even after when Water Geyser started working it was not dispensing hot water and had to take bath with cold water that too in 7° temperature. We raised complaint twice but we didn't get any solution to it. 2nd thing, when we checked in there, SPA service was not available. Except these two issues, rest other things were very good. I will highly recommend this Summit Ttakshang Residency Hotel & Spa (MG Marg) for stay.

A wonderful stay! Very spacious ,neat nd clean rooms, extremely curtious and prompt support staff. The breakfast spread is quite elaborate. There is a lot of variations in the menu every day. The premium rooms with balcony has a lovely scenic view of the kanchenjunga range. Overall a very satisfactory stay at the Summit Ttakshang Residency Hotel & Spa (MG Marg).. Only minus point on the stay was the mattresses! The Summit Ttakshang Residency Hotel & Spa (MG Marg) needs to do something about it as they are extremely soft . Not very comfortable. 😞 Otherwise the Summit Ttakshang Residency Hotel & Spa (MG Marg) Takshank is a grt choice for a vacation in Gangtok.

The most beautiful thing i found in this Summit Ttakshang Residency Hotel & Spa (MG Marg) is their staff behaviour. The staffs are very cordial. I had booked a deluxe room for 2 nights. However, they upgraded my room to premium for the second night at free of cost. Both the rooms were clean. However, the kettles in both the room had black stain. The food was decent taste wise. For the second day they also provided me complimentary breakfast. The location of the Summit Ttakshang Residency Hotel & Spa (MG Marg) is close to mg marg, making it very convenient for evening stroll to the market. Overall, it was nice stay especially being a solo traveller.

We stayed at this property of summit, and the amenities and hospitality was very pleasant. Rooms are at different levels, we stayed in a premium room with a balcony and it was spacious enough with a valley view over mg marg. They were generous enough to take in special order to match the child's needs and food taste. It is actually 5 minutes walking distance from the mg marg but that route is not ideal for a senior citizen or someone with any ailment. Cabs are available also from the entrance itself and the staff helps to arrange for local mobility.

Location is near to mg road with walkable distance but the road is little steep and with steps but not a big deal to walk down. If you book premium rooms you will have mountain view which is not available for deluxe room. Cabs booked from Summit Ttakshang Residency Hotel & Spa (MG Marg) will cost you more. Food at the restaurant is not that good. You will have several options for food at mg road. Rooms are maintained well and overall good Summit Ttakshang Residency Hotel & Spa (MG Marg) to stay.

It was quite a comforting stay. The stay is at a prime location with a passage to the mg marg. The staff was very co operative and our rooms well prepared. They made everything available and for any ad hoc requests they fulfilled it quite quick. The view was amazing from my room despite being a floor below ground level. Some areas where i see a minor scope of improvement would be: allotment of rooms on higher available floors and pure assignment of basic needs in the room.

The Summit Ttakshang Residency Hotel & Spa (MG Marg) is nice with courteous staff. Location of the Summit Ttakshang Residency Hotel & Spa (MG Marg) is added advantage as it is at a walking distance from mg road. Check-in and check-out was smooth. We got upgraded to premium rooms as it was off season. That scored the brownie points for me. The breakfast buffet was ok in terms of options but taste wise it was good.

One of the best Summit Ttakshang Residency Hotel & Spa (MG Marg) stays i have had in gangtok. The room was very cozy and comfortable and definitely spacious. The dishes served at the restaurant were very good

Hotel was extremely good. The room was top notch as expected. House keeping was awesome as well

Stay was comfortable but not as per expectation with name and value. I had previous experience with summit properties but here the personal view got changes. It is my own personal experience and should not be generalised.

I recommended to all for budget property with all amenities. Neat and clean room and restaurant is very good with delicious foods. Staffs are polite and cooperative.
