Sunyata Eco Hotel

We stayed for two days in Sunyata during our vacation in Chikmagalur. It was a great stay. I especially appreciate the chef, great taste. However there was a small mishap during our stay. The driver who was with us accidentally hit another clients car. There was a small dent. It happened in the night at about 9 pm. Due to lack of proper visibility we couldn't see how big the dentist was or if there was any scratch. In this situation the owner of the car especially his wife was very hyper about it. we were in our room and didn't know about the situation. At that time the manager went in support of them. He being the manager of the property should have been neutral. I agree that he had the responsibility of taking care of his clients interests but not at the expense of other clients. He , I insist he , the Manager, made us pay an exorbitant amount for the dent which was not a major one. My husband is a CEO of a chain of service centres and with his contacts he sent the picture of the dent to his expert at the service centre. The expert was specific that it was a small dent and would not cost more than ₹2000 or max ₹2500. I worked as an automobile engineer at Maruti, so I am right ". We were on a vacation and didn't want to escalate this issue so just paid the amount, which the Manager of the property made us pay by force. In the morning in daylight when the dent was seen, it was a very minor one, and there was no scratch also. But once the money was paid there was no option for getting it back also. The Manager in this case should have been JUST, and should have given an option of checking the dent in the daylight. May be he had some internal setting with the owner or was related to him, I don't know. Even after seeing the dent in the day light , they didn't bother to return the extra amount which they looted from us. Well, they could keep the change after the repair work if they need it. Rest all was fine. Facilities were very good. Staff friendly. complementary breakfast good. Except the Ill mannered MANAGER.

Located conveniently in the city with restaurant. Check in and check out was smooth. Manager sharath was very informative regarding the premises and local sightseeing tours. Amenities were provided in the Sunyata Eco Hotel as advertised. Complimentary breakfast was delicious with lot of varieties. Impressed by the architecture and the concept of ecostay. Overall a pleasant stay with family.

The Sunyata Eco Hotel is very bful n neat. The decor is top notch. The premium rooms are like a star Sunyata Eco Hotel. The staff is cooperative. It has a cafe in addition to the restaurant. But its located in the city rather than the hilltop. But if u r luking for comfort, this is the place to be.

I loved my stay at Sunyata. It's such a beautiful property - exactly as shown in pictures. The rooms were huge with a balcony that has an amazing view. The staff were very polite. Food was good too. I would highly recommend this stay for anyone who wants to spend a peaceful day or two.

The design of the Sunyata Eco Hotel is very calming and reassuring. The rooms are well maintained, and the food in the cafe is decent. The staff are courteous. The cleanliness of bed linen and the ventilation in the bathroom can be improved.

Trust me this place won’t let you down, the best ambiance the best views and the best rooms with the best attached restaurant

The property is maintained well and has been built with a wonderful concept. Service was also quite good. Overall good experience and would recommend it to others as well

The restaurant that serves the guests for breakfast and other meals is very basic and the food is subpar. Everything else is great!

Good rooms, helpful staff. Food is great. Booked a deluxe room with mountain view but the Sunyata Eco Hotel location is a bit far from actual peaks, so the mountain view is just a field view. Do ask the reception for places to visit.

The place looks incredible. Exactly like in the pictures. Very homely feel as well. The food was also good. Would definitely come back again and recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful stay.

Hotel is designed keeping in mind good ecological considerations. Stay was very comfortable. Hotel is very neat and clean, staff also are very pleasant and got good service from them
