Taj fateh prakash has been taken over by taj just 3 years ago. Yet its a great property spread over different levels and areas. Its quite well maintained. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. We had taken the palace view room. But really it dint have a view as such. I strongly recommend taking the lake facing rooms. The additional price is definitely worth it. The service is slightly compromised if compared to other taj properties. The breakfast spread is superb. Since this property is a part of the city palace, you would see too many visitors around, and thus the exclusivity as such is missing. The swimming pool area view is simply beautiful and very picturesque. The property offers a heritage walk, folk dance and a boat ride of the lake pichola (at rs 1500 pp. All in all a lovely stay!

This property is located in the city palace complex with a amazing view of lake pichola & surrounding mountains. The easy access to city palace & lake which are the two most important landmarks of udaipur makes the location very convenient. The property is extremely beautiful & well maintained. The hospitality of taj team is heart warming. We visited this place with our 2 small kids & they also loved it. Food quality & taste was amazing. Buffet breakfast spread was also diverse & high quality. Apart from the absence of a kids games room, everything else was there in terms of amenities. I would highly recommend a stay at this property to get a beautiful feel of udaipur.

We had the best experience at Taj Fateh Prakash Palace. The property is right on the Lake Pichola and has a great view. The rooms were quite grand and the architecture was exquisite. The hospitality from the staff was best, they were very warm and helpful. They tried their best to make our stay better. Kishan Singh made sure that we have a memorable anniversary by arranging room decorations & surprise for us. The property is inside the premises of the City Palace, so it also allowed us to walk around the palace after official hours. The overall experience was nothing short of living in an actual palace.

Everything was awsm except the restaurant service . It took them 4-5 calls everytime to just provide the milk for baby .Also had many powercuts .

Simply amazing - a lot of heritage parts of the palace are preserved so nicely! restaurant (sunshine terrace) is a great place to hang out - sunset from the restaurant is not to miss out.
