Taj Green Cove Resort & Spa, Kovalam

Returned back from our trip to trivandrum last week of june. We were sceptical if we will ever be able to explore much, considering monsoons but to our delight the weather gods were supportive. We did encounter some light drizzles at times but thoroughly enjoyed them being located in the midst of nature. Ok ! we weren't living the wild life but were rather residing at taj green cove resort kovalam. It's no less than nature's paradise. The greenery, dense palm trees the sea shore the private lake and most importantly the food and their service. Everything was impeccable. The rooms smelled great. It was a delight to be back to such a fragrant clean rooms after our day's excursions. I still miss the fragrance. Many thanks to room service for the excellent cleanliness and keeping the accomodation as aromatic. Coming to the food both the main pool side restaurant and bait (sea food) offered finger licking food. While most would dig into local south indian cuisines we thought to test waters with all kind of cuisines so tried north indian, italian, south indian. I have to say the chef excelled at each of them. Hats off. Actually swiped clean everything that was ordered and served. Chicken tikka masala and kulchas were to die for. Don't get it as good, at as many places here in north india too. The breakfast spread is vast and elaborate. A lot of options from indian to english breakfast and everything was fresh and well served. I was a bit concerned after reading a few reviews and comments in the breakfast before the vacay but car back content. The breakfast spread is splendid. The high tea in the evening at the lawns facing the sea was my personal favorite. Used to sit there for couple of hours at a stretch sipping on hot filter coffee with cookies. Sheer bliss. Lastly it would be really unfair if i sign-off without mentioning the brilliant staff who kept us engaged, happy and smiling at all the times. Thanks to rakesh, raj, prakrit and pankaj who made our dining experience exquisite every evening, at dinner and breakfast. Thanks to the chef for one of the best treats we have had in long times. And special thanks to the charming jasmine who not only helped make our stay brilliant and comfortable but also made it memorable with her small talks, beautiful smile and some great guidance on our day activities and plans. A fantastic stay. Will revisit definitely.

It was our first time in kovalam and taj green cove made it a memorable one with their warm hospitality. We arrived at the resort by 3 pm and the staff welcomed us with tender coconut water and sea shell garlands. We stayed for three nights in a garden facing cottage which is quite big with an outdoor sitting area offering views of the lawns. The entire resort area is surrounded by greenery and there is a lagoon within the property where we had the complimentary boat ride in the evening. A part of the resort is along the coastline and one can view the amazing beauty of the sunset and the arabian sea. Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet is served in the jasmine bay restaurant with a wide variety of delicious vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The restaurant bait specialise in seafood and offers breathtaking views of both the lagoon and the sea simultaneously. We tried king-fish in bait and it is one of my favorite sea food dish till date. Complimentary tea/coffee with delectable cookies, cakes, fritters, puffed rice etc is served to all guests in the evening by the seaside accompanied with live music. The resort also arranges various activities for the children, viz, archery, kite flying etc in the evening which our kid enjoyed thoroughly. The entire team of taj green cove is very professional and looked after us very well during our stay. The Taj Green Cove Resort & Spa, Kovalam is child friendly and our kid enjoyed a lot during the stay. Special thanks to jasmine, mu-gal kalita, pradeep, venigopal, md tausif, nikki, shivaramakrishnan, krishna, prakash mahato, anuraj, sanjeev and the entire team of taj for making our stay a memorable one. We'll definitely be staying in taj green cove to experience such a warm hospitality once again in our next visit to kovalam.

The property is beautiful and there’s greenery all around. Best time of the day is evening when you can do boating in backwaters and enjoy high tea with a sunset sea view. Ambience and food at bait restaurant was the best part of our stay - totally loved it! vinod, raj, kaushik +1 more staff at bait) made our anniversary dinner so special and took our dinner experience at next level. Special thanks to mr vinod for changing our overall experience. We were gifted a beautiful souvenir on our anniversary and it came as a pleasant surprise to us, thanks a ton for that. Mr veni arranged our visit to padmaswany temple and the overall darshan was so so smooth and so well organised. However, important issue here is that few garden view rooms are very far way and there are many many stairs leading to the room and buggy isn’t accessible there. These rooms are difficult if you are staying with small kid/ senior citizen. I had called the reservations in 15 days and again two days before checkin and mentioned about having a small kid along, still they allotted us this kind of room (the garden rooms near reception were full- they should have blocked one for us considering small kid. We however took an upgraded room accessible by buggy, but this should have been proactively taken care of. Also buggy service is extremely slow during peak hours ( i waited for 40 min)

I needed a vacation amidst the plush of nature and I wanted take my dog along. After much searching I found Taj Green Cove resort and spa in Kovalam. The resort is situated in the lap of thick greenery. The rooms are in the middle of tropical fauna and fauna with views of the sea and green. The resort has a private rocky beach and a lagoon. Early morning walks by the beach are extremely soothing and rejuvenating. The evening boat ride in the lagoon is must do. They serve an array of different cuisines. For someone who wanted to explore Kerala cuisine and particularly the seafood, The Bait restaurant by the beach was perfect. The sound of the waves, the sea breeze, soft mellow music and the delicious food is an amazing experience. The staff is extremely friendly and take care of you during the entire stay. They had made arrangements for my dog’s stay and comfort which was so sweet of them. They were kind enough to give some plant saplings to my mother on request. The property is only 30 minutes away from the main city of Thiruvananthapuram and Poovar backwaters. So, one can extend the trip to the Padmanabha swamy temple and the Golden sands beach of Poovar. I would highly recommend this place if someone wants an authentic Kerala experience.

Great stay. Beautiful property. Courteous staff. Food was also tasty. The property is located in a very good locale full of lush green. We had stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days and came home rejuvenated with lot of memories. This property has lots of in-house activities like boat ride, cycling, kite flying and high tea at a fantastic garden also a sunset point which has sea shore on one side and a lagoon on the other side. Food is also good and covered all cuisines including kerala specials. They have a seaside restaurant called bait which serves seafood specially. We've been der for dinner and the experience was awesome. The staff were courteous and pleasant especially mr. Vinpugal, ms. Jasmine and ms. Sudha. They made sure we were comfortable through our stay. We were upgraded to the best room even before asking. Overall a great property and i would love to stay here again if i come to this place.

The best part of the stay at taj green cove resort at kovalam apart from its gorgeous ambiance and foliage is the wonderful service at the property. They are impeccably kind and attentive and be it at their restaurants or in and around the property, they take such good care for you. It's a beautiful space to go with your family and especially with young children. The food is amazing and the attention to detail to the cuisine is also commendable. A huge thank you to the restaurant staff especially jinsha (not sure if am spelling it right) and pramod who were the sweetest of them, and so attentive too. Thank you to abhirami at the reception for being so helpful. Sorry if i got any of the names wrong. To be in those heart warming, nature driven bio spot is a must have experience if you are looking to unwind and relax.

Taj resort is full of such beautiful natural scenes whose footprints are touched by the arabian sea. Dense bushes, cool breeze, lover's blue playful sea water and the resort nestled in one's lap fill the mind with joy. The staff of the property is very polite and courteous. Thanks to mr. Vinod who made proper arrangements for our food for two days. Even if you are taking a premium suites sea view king bed with plunge pool room by paying 45k per day, your privacy is not uninterrupted, this is very regrettable. It can be said that this is a suite room but just above it there is another type of room which is not appropriate. I am also giving some photos so that you can understand. It would be best if you don't take this room, your rs 45k per day is a waste. The rest of the food, drinks and service are all excellent.

We got a very warm welcome from the reception team and checking in was flawless. All the support staff starting from reception to the room boys were awesome and were really ready to help us with all our requests. They welcomed us with a garland made of shell and gave a refreshing tender coconut. Checking in was very smooth and by the time Sidharth (The person who helped us checkin) took us for a walk through on complimentary activities and property, the bell boys kept our luggages inside our room. Room was clean and luxurious. The Lagoon with one side lake and the other side sea was worth spending some time. Food was sumptuous at the restaurants. Special mention to Mr. Sidharth, Mr. Thousif and the security persons who I don't know the name. They were simply awesome. 😍

Excellent hospitality and very comfortable stay! great resort, very green and clean. Perfect for families. The room service is quick and very efficient and all the staff are very pleasant and helpful.

Food was very good. Beach was at distance from. Cottages and not approachable. Cottage we. Were allotted was on lowest level, closed viee and ascending/ descending on staircase was trouble some, especially for sr citizen. During check out it was informed that they will take care in future and would have changed, if informed earlier.
