Check In:Requested For early check in and they provided it by 10.30 in the morning and it was smooth as usual. Location: Located next to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and its little over 2 hours drive from Kochi airport. Prepaid taxi in Kochi airport is the cheapest form of transport. Property: This is 150 years old heritage property and Taj is doing its best to retain the heritage and as well updating also.Its spread over 15 acres and only with 28 rooms shows how big the property and greenish it is. You always hear the humming of birds and water bodies in the form of lagoon,backwaters and then India's longest lake Vembanad lake If you want to spend your holiday close to nature then this is the place to go in Kumarakom. Rooms: I stayed one night in Luxury Villa Lotus Garden View and another night in Grand Luxury Pool Villa Private Plunge Pool. Both villas are at its best with large spacious room with sit-out facing the lagoon It has all the modern amenities with the typical Kerala wooden interiors.Both Villas has Bathtub and open shower is available.Taking open shower when it rains is a different experience altogether. Grand luxury villa has Venbanad Lake view from the bed and if you are affordable go for it. Service: Serving rooms across 15 acres is a task and they had a good team that does its best. We never had to wait for more than 5 mins for buggy and whatever we requested was given to us in less than 10 minutes. Restaurant: They have two restaurants Bristo and Currymeen both serving the same menu and close to each other. Currmeen is inside the main building and Bristo is close to the lagoon with good views. Breakfast is served only in Bristo. Better to take dinner in Currmeen because of the insects problem in the open Bristo restaurant. Food is delicious and loved the meen moily, masala prawn, Chutta koli, Allapey Veg curry. Special Thanks to Ritesh , Devi, Prem, Anand in the restaurant who serves fast specially for the kids. Thanks to Chef Win for accommodating our requests and even providing the recipe through email for our favorite dishes. Activities: They have lot of outdoor activities from boating, kayaking, zipline, fishing, pottery, TT, carom. But when it comes to little kids not much indoor games are available and that's where they need to improve and Manager said they are about to start. Every-night they have cultural program for 1.30 hours and complimentary boat ride are good. Checkout: They made the bills ready in advance and no delay in the checkout. Conclusion: Its a kind of property that can give you nice moments and good memories to take. Being close to nature,you may expect mosquito, ant and small lizards so its better to close the doors in the late evening and night. They need to upgrade the bathroom amenities and one issue I faced in all the Taj properties is though they know you are arriving with kids still they wont keep dental kit for kids. As mentioned in most of the places this is not 5 star property, its 4 star and they are planning to make it 5 star. With a good team in the restaurant and Noel, Priya who go all the way to satisfy the customers. I would surely visit again.

The property is located at the heart of kumarakom near the nehru boat race point. We took a cab from Kottayam railway station, but there are lots of buses too and they stop right in front of the property. We stayed in the lagoon facing cottage. The cottage was very spacious with a great view of the lagoon. There is a private sitting balcony type of area that opens from inside the room overlooking the lagoon and the baker's bungalow. The room had a work table, ironing board and a huge dressing area along with a king bed along with a mini fridge and tv etc. The bathroom space is pretty huge and there is no bathtub. The only issue we faced in the cottage was that the mini fridge was not working. The hygiene was top notch as was all the safety precautions taken by the Taj Kumarakom Resort & Spa, Kerala management. The food options were not really that elaborate, but the quality was amazing, along with the service.

From the moment we arrived at Taj Kumarakom, we were completely thrilled. The location is awesome, just off the main road. The way the Taj Kumarakom Resort & Spa, Kerala has preserved its natural look and feel, is amazing. The huge lake at the centre of the property and the soothing live music during the evenings besides the lake, the geese all over the lake in the morning and children running behind and the boating facility on the lake. All add to the thrill. The chaikada on the banks of lake Vembanad with the sunset behind was pure thrill. Services, front desk and the food facilities on the property was all too good to be true. This resort is well suited for families travelling with children. The icing on the cake was the complimentary boat ride in lake Vembanad. A wonderful and memorable holiday.

We had a wonderful stay at Taj Kumarakom over the Independence Day weekend. We were booked in the pool villa - a beautiful room ideal for couples. The weather was perfect, with a little drizzle on and off. The pool water however was too cold hence we couldn't really enjoy that too much. If you want to enjoy the pool villa, the monsoon season is probably not the best time to do so 😊. The Taj Kumarakom Resort & Spa, Kerala staff were wonderful. however, the service time for room service orders was a tad too long. excellent food with the Kerala specialities being particularly delicious. The only disappointment was the fact that the Taj Kumarakom Resort & Spa, Kerala does not have a hard liquor licence. Bit of a damper when you're on a vacation.

Taj property at yuma akron is small as compared to there other properties but it has what Taj stands for their great hospitality and service levels the gm Mr Aashirwad goes out of his way to make your trip memorable and is filled with so many interesting anecdotes. The staff at restaurant serves you like royalty and again chats up with so many stories and leaves you to enjoy when you want the food there is excellent the nest we had in all the places at Kumarakom area be it Kumarakom Lake Resort zuri aveda. No Resort food could match up neither in food nor in hospitality If you want good experiences then go to Taj. Yes again property wise it's nit like their other properties it's a small one but a pretty one.

The resort is excellent. The service is good, rooms are very nice (we stayed in lagoon facing rooms). The staff is courteous and attentive. The food is tasty, but menu for vegetarians is somewhat limited and a bit on expensive side. The room should have a wall clock or a digital clock and a weight scale. The complimentary boat cruise is enjoyable and one gets a glimpse of Kerala backwaters. The resort offers services of complimentary guide for visiting the bird sanctuary which is good. We would advice all to start as early as 6:00 and be prepared for a 5 km walk though woods lasting almost 3 hours. Overall stay was very enjoyable.

Right from the time we landed till the time of departure, we were made to feel very welcome. The location is beautiful and the staff is extremely warm and welcoming. The Taj Kumarakom Resort & Spa, Kerala is spread across acres and acres of nature and shares a boundary with the bird sanctuary. Kids can spend days doing pottery, playing games or just cycling along the well-defined cycling paths. Special mention to GM Jayanth Dad and some of his staff, Ravindra -sir, Sundeep, Poorvi to name a few- this is one place I would like to come back to!!! Thanks for your hospitality.

Situated in very clam and good place on the side of vembanadu lake. Some games and activities are there inside the property itself to enjoy. Nice toddy shops, bird sanctuary are attractions in the location. Some areas to be improved is that food is overly priced and not worth for money even in terms of presentation or taste. Gym equipment’s are rusted could have been maintained better. Bicycle provided in the property also rusted and not maintained. But over all experience is good. Excellent property and very friendly staffs.

Excellent staff of Taj Kumarakom with superb level of service. They pay attention to each and every thing during your stay and make sure of exceeding the expectation. Of all the Taj Taj Kumarakom Resort & Spa, Keralas, Taj Kumarakom is the best in terms of service and overall stay experience.

We spent a weekend @ taj kumarakom. The hospitality, cleanliness and general levels of service were impeccable. All the staff were extremely well mannered, pleasant and helpful.

This has been one of my best holidays which was made possible by the excellent services and hospitality extended by the staff of Taj Kumarakom. The personalized attention that they give to all their guests is just amazing. Great food, great location with excellent hospitality. I would definitely try and stay there again in the future and also recommend my friends and family to experience the great hospitality of Taj Kumarakom.

The resort is amazingly beautiful surrounded by lush green plantation and has beautiful cottages and villas. Enjoyed cycling in this beautiful resort in morning. They have 5 ducks in the lagoon which is close to breakfast area, my daughter was so happy feeding the ducks. The staff is courteous. The room is spacious, we booked villa which had a verandah overlooking the lotus pond, it was indeed beautiful. The food was average with limited options but overall the stay was very relaxing and rejuvenating.

There's an old world charm to the lovely rooms. The outdoor shower area is a nice touch. The service is awesome! we had a lovely break.

The staff was very cordial and the property is set rite next to the Lake and the houses are given an authentic Kerala house
