I am native of Rajasthan and have been to Udaipur number of times. However, the experience on these trips was just like any other places and I felt nothing extraordinary. This time I planned stay in Taj Lake Palace. The property is a shimmering gem nestled in the heart of lake Pichola Udaipur. From the moment we reached the private jetty of the Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur from where Guests are ferried to the Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur in middle of the lake, we were transported into a world of regal luxury and unparalleled hospitality. The palace itself is a masterpiece of architecture very well maintained, seemingly floating on the serene waters of Lake Pichola. Every aspect of the Taj Lake Palace exudes elegance and grandeur. The room was opulently appointed, with stunning views of the lake or the surrounding Aravalli Mountains. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the intricately carved furnishings to the plush bedding that ensured a restful night's sleep. Dining at the Taj Lake Palace is a culinary journey. During our one night stay we tried traditional Rajasthani cuisine at Neel Kamal and morning breakfast at Jharokha. The Rajasthani cuisine which is traditionally very spicy & oily was found to have been made low on spice & oil suiting to foreigners and people from other parts of India who are not used to such spicy & oily food. My feeling is that the Chef prepared the food with his hands tied in the back in reference to spices & oil. My suggestion is that it should be kept authentic and people should have taste of real Rajasthani food maybe in a separate section– the way it is eaten in Rajasthan. The people who don’t find it suitable can have food in Jhrokha which serves all types of food. The Breakfast at Jarokha was par excellent against the backdrop of a breathtaking view of the lake. But what truly sets the Taj Lake Palace apart is its exceptional service. The staff goes above and beyond to anticipate your every need, ensuring that your stay is nothing short of magical. Whether it's arranging a private boat ride on the lake or your any other demand , their commitment to excellence is unmatched. Overall, the Taj Lake Palace Hotel is more than just a place to stay – it's an experience that will leaves one enchanted & inspired and proud to have such iconic place in India. If one is seeking a retreat fit for royalty, grandeur, mesmerizing beauty in all aspects of life look no further than this exquisite palace on the water. I once again thank the staff for the exceptional services extended to us during the stay. I salute you for your commitment beyond your duties.

This was a celebration of our 30th anniversary and it was such a correct decision! it is magical from the word go! the grand reception starts from their exclusive jetty! rose petals are showered as you enter the Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur, followed by a jasmine lemonade welcome drink in a crystal wine glass! check in is super courteous and polite! we were upgraded to a lake facing room! the entire property is luxurious, beautiful beyond description, every corner and nook gleaming and polished! every bit of it is a photo op! the service is impeccable! everyone is so pleasant, polite and smiling! they will drop whatever they are doing to take your photos! the boat ride on the lake is highly recommended ( don’t bother with the other rides on the lake or a visit to jagmindar since it’s included in this Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur boat ride, it is at an extra cost which is well worth it because it’s exclusive, for 1 hour and it’s like a guided tour by one of the Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur’s staff who is polite, well informed and fluent in hindi and english. The dinner of a non veg rajasthan thali in neelkamal was so beautifully served and we were even allowed to share one thali between us two, since it was such a large portion! the rooms are regally decorated and very comfortable! the sunset on lake pichola which we saw from the deck will stay with us forever! the breakfast spread is huge, delicious and very premium! our entire experience at the taj lake palace was as special and luxurious as we desired and far surpassed our expectations! 7 star luxury and service indeed!

Stayed here when i took my mum and grandparents tripping to udaipur and absolutely loved it. The hospitality of the Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur staff needs the first and the most emphasis-ed mention because it is a class apart. Special shout out to anjali at the reception desk and the staff at the restaurant jharokha for making our vacation a true delight with their added warmth. The rooms and the lake views from them are gorgeous. The experience of living at the centre of lake pichola in an actual palace is grand to say the least. Check in and check out processes were very smooth. The evening traditional dance show was so much fun to watch and to participate in at the end. We stayed in udaivilas after checking out from here and we unanimously thought that both experiences are not to be missed. The rooms are comparatively smaller because of the obvious space restraint since it’s an actual palace that’s being very beautifully maintained by the management. The only thing that could have been better is if we didn’t have the transparent plastic covering the garden view from our rooms’ corridor. The swimming pool area is fantastic. We took the evening boat tour and we loved it. The staff at the ferries are very nice and helpful too. All in all, we would definitely stay at taj lake palace again and would like to thank the staff for helping make our vacation great!

The place is very beautiful. Staying in this heritage property was a dream come true experience! as the 277 year old palace is constructed in lake pichhola, it makes this experience unique and out of the world. The staff and ambiance makes you feel special, royal. Gives you a very relaxing experience, away from the hustle and bustle of the cities. The boat ride to and from from the jetty is amazing. Its a picturesque destination, brings out the finer side of you, makes you feel like an artist or poet. Food is great. My advice is that just enjoy your stay at this premier taj property for 2 days and for the rest of udaipur, plan another trip. Click lots of pictures with your companion(s, enjoy the evening cultural event, the signature jam-es bond cocktails and other services available here. Enjoy the view especially at night. Have a great time and carve the experience in your memory for eternity.

We experienced “tajness” all throughout our stay at lake palace. The location, the service, the food and the experiences like boat tour of the lake, the heritage walk of the palace and the evening performances were all beyond our expectations. We were there to celebrate a special occasion and taj lived up to what we were hoping for. Thank you. Just one feedback for them: if you happen to got o the city after 4 pm, it is difficult to get back to the boat jetty from the main city palace gate. They did not inform us nor did they give us any Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur pass that the security guards everywhere would ask to allow you to walk through city palace grounds. Thats the only way to reach the boat jetty. It would have helped us if we knew all these details on how to reach the Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur back if you want to got o the town in the evening or have dinner somewhere else.

Visited Taj Lake Palace for 1 night and this place is absolutely awesome. Situated in the Pichola lake, the views around the Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur are stunning with the city palace on one side and jag mandir on the other side. Food is awesome with multiple options for Indian as well as other cuisines and you can also request stuff that is not present in the menu. Hotel service is top-notch and you will be impressed by the way each and every person in the Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur goes out of his/her way to provide the service that Taj is known for. Special thanks to Anjali, Abhishek, Anil, ayush and pramod for the lovely service, food, stay and beautiful pictures taken by them. Also appreciate the cake provided to us to celebrate the special occasion. This is 10/10 in everything that they offer.

Nice stay with service excellent, good ambience, unique location of the Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur makes it memorable. Food is good, can be better. The boat ride makes it sweeter and memorable. Searched the property through various you tube chanels and gone through the reviews before finalising the Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur. Hotel arrange the transport for any local sight seeing at very short notice. Hotel is located in almost middle of the lake and the view in the night is amazing. The room was good having a royal look. Bed was very comfortable. The lake view from the room window was very unique and beautiful. Evening Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur is having local folk performance which was also one good attraction.

Stay was ma-zing with some majestic views of sunset and sunrise frm the Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur. Right from entrance where we were greeted with folk music being played to the boat ride and reception with rose petals, it was all very different. The rooms were good with bath tubs and a view of the city palace from room window. The sunset from palace with all the hills was a view to behold. The breakfast spread was also very sumptuous. Overall we enjoyed the stay and hospitality of the staff

My wife and i really enjoyed our stay at the Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur. The staff is very attentive and the food is great. The palace is well-preserved, wonderful Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur to relax.
