Taj Madikeri Resort & Spa, Coorg

For those who wanted to embrace nature without compromising with luxury, taj madikeri is a place for them. Situated amid-st dense rain forests, as usual, taj will not let you complain of any thing. Hospitality par excellence. My wife planned this surprise visit to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary and i must tell you i was thrilled looking at the enchanting beauty of nature surrounding the taj. Upon being come to know about special day, the staff did everything possible to make it really a special one n we too felt the same way. Be it decoration in the room, reserving a special table for a candlelight dinner near pool side every other little thing that was done was amazing. We stayed in a cottage facing forests from where beautiful view of mountains was clearly visible. We used to wake up with first ray of sun sneaking in the room from large window. The best part of the resort is that it has been built by causing negligible amount of damage to the nature. It is wide spread n empty plane space was utilised for erecting concrete structures. Talking about food, we dined in almost every restaurants in the property and found the food delicious. Breakfast was widely spread with good of amount of choice to have. Staff was very cooperative, courteous and always greet you with a smile. Services at restaurants n at the rooms were prompt. You don’t have to wait for anything. I must say our overall stay was memorable and we are looking forward to come again during monsoon to enjoy rains.

It was peaceful and beautiful. No one can beat Taj when it comes to hospitality. The location, food, staff, everything is top notch and it is a must visit property. No one asked me for a review but still I noted names of people who made an extra effort to make us feel special. Special thanks to Christopher and Guru for delicious food recommendations and explaining the process. Thanks to Ambika for catering to our orders even on a busy Saturday morning breakfast. We did ziplining and Nishani hike. Both were worth it and are available within the resort. Don’t miss out on the Spa. Very relaxing . The property is so close to nature that you will get up with birds chirping and singing and at night you will see Jugnoos. The cleanliness in a resort that is in rainforest is top notch. The only thing where I would give a feedback is use of plastic bottles for drinking water. It will be great if they can replace is with glass bottles

It was great experience staying in amanvana resort. It’s really a rabbit hole for soul to relax with nature sounds of birds and kaveri river. We had a great guide with us mr. Naveen who gave us tour to coffee plantation tour with his extraordinary knowledge on coffee and other plants with birds knowledge as well. Naveen also guided us to 8-islands of kaveri river trekking with his great skills on river and took our beautiful pictures as well. River trekking with naveen was a great adventure, he showed us all the ways and connected us with nature, he completed our trekking with wonderful experience while ensuring our safety. Food and hospitality of amanava resort was awesome. It’s really a great to place to relax or vacation with connecting nature in resort with lots of fauna. I will definitely recommend amanava resort to my friends and family.

It was wow when u reached the lobby (the main entrance) the built up and the landscape was just mesmerising and breathtaking. The welcome drive the local coffee took our heart straight into the valleys of coorg. The experience with the room was another wow moment, amazing ambience, great view from the room of the 180 acres of the taj landscape absolutely stunning and scenery through the windows. Bring-in in nature close to us was the experience me and my family had during our stay. The food quality was great, we had a great day one barbecue food which was as delicious and beautiful as the nature. The breakfast had amazing mix of english and local food styles. Overall this was a great and amazing stay at taj coorg.

Best location with lots of wild area, minimalist rooms with kodava style architecture. Loved the rain-forest walk. Lobby has infinity view. They offer complimentary yoga session in morning which was great experience- conducted by nitin. Gayana from team made sure to make our day extra special with going out of the way to arrange cake and decor for celebration of our parents' anniversary. Good food. Rooms are located on slopes as they are made without cutting any woods. So you have to depend on buggies to travel around. Gets quite dark at night as the lights on road are dim. Should definitely visit if u want to go close to nature.

Excellent resort. Good service. The room was clean and well maintained. Check in and check out experience was good. Lots of trees and lots of area to walk and explore. Do not miss the buddha statue and the serene stream inside the resort, during your hike. Kids enjoyed feeding the fish and the ducks in the lake. Overall, enjoyed the stay here. Mr nitin ( the nature specialist) was very helpful, patiently explaining about the flora and fauna in this region. The only downside was the housekeeping service in our room - room was not cleaned properly and service was sluggish - needs improvement.

Would like to place in record for our recent holiday at the taj medikari resort & spa. A property beautifully perched on top of the hills at coorg. Cottages very spacious with large windows overlooking the natural vegetation provided by rain forest. The staff of taj ensure your stay as so comfortable right from buggies, house keeping and not to miss the staff at the restaurants pampering you sevice. The food & cocktails churned out by the chef & his team is amazing be in it indian / continental/ coorgi. Thank you taj medikari for a wonderful 4days

We stayed at taj madikeri resort for 5 days and it was an incredible holiday. Every single day was a fantastic experience. Special thanks to chef akhil sharma for curating the perfect culinary experience. The staff here is so warm and courteous. "tajness" at it's very best. It's a sprawling 132 acres property nestled in the rainforest. With misty sunrise, coorgi coffee, exotic spa, coffee plantation walks and treks, our holiday couldn't get better. Sincerely thankful to the whole team of @tajmadikeri for giving us an unforgettable experience.

Property is in great location over a mountain. Very well maintained property with a great view from every room. View of sunrise though the forest from the glasses of room with murmering of birds in the morning was the surreal moment. Restaurant has tasty cuisines. Many sight-seeing places within premises makes it one of its kind. Absolutely worth it.

Had booked premium villas, it was too good Found many scratches on my Car, Vallet was like I don't know how it happened Roads are really pathetic to reach the Resort The food is good, but the food that you want will not be served to the room 😅

The view of the room is the best you can get anywhere in the world. The food is also great. The staff ensured that we were well taken care of.
