Rating: ★★★★★ I recently had the pleasure of staying(Fifth Stay since 2019) at the magnificent Taj Theog, and it was an experience that surpassed all expectations. From the breathtaking location to the tantalizing food and impeccable services, this property truly stands as a beacon of luxury nestled in the heart of nature. Food (★★★★★): Undoubtedly, one of the highlights of my stay at Taj Theog was the exceptional culinary experience. Chefs MR. Bhandari and Chef Prakash, specializing in Mexican and Continental cuisines, left an indelible mark on my taste buds. Every meal was a culinary masterpiece, and each dish was a work of art. From the perfectly seasoned Mexican delicacies to the delectable Continental dishes, every bite was a symphony of flavors. Their dedication to providing mouthwatering and soul-satisfying food truly elevated my stay. The restaurant's ambiance, with its warm and inviting decor, added to the overall dining experience. Services (★★★★★): The service at Taj Theog is nothing short of exemplary. The staff's attention to detail, warmth, and professionalism are commendable. Every request was promptly attended to, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. The personalized service truly made me feel like a valued guest. Kids Activities (★★★★★): For families traveling with children, Taj Theog offers a wide range of activities to keep the little ones entertained. The kids' activities were not only fun but also educational, providing a well-rounded experience for young guests. In conclusion, my stay at Taj Theog was a perfect blend of luxury, nature, and gastronomic delight. The location, food, amenities, and services were all exceptional, and I can't speak highly enough about Chefs MR. Bhandari and Chef Prakash, who created culinary magic during my stay. Taj Theog is, without a doubt, one of the best places to savor luxury in the lap of nature, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable retreat.

This was my second stay at this beautiful property nestled in the hills with incredible views on both sides. We had driven to the Taj Theog Resort & Spa, Shimla on our way back from sangla valley and due to the early onset of monsoons this year, we faced heavy rainfall on our way to theog. I was really happy to see that in contrast to how the road was in 2020, taj has now managed to fix the 1 km drive up to the Taj Theog Resort & Spa, Shimla. We were originally booked for 2 nights but we ended up staying for 4 nights due to the monsoons and the risk of landslides on our way back to the plain lands. Our room was very beautifully appointed and it featured a mesmerising view of the valleys. On a sunny day, the complete range of snow peak mountains are clearly visible from the rooms. During our stay, taj had taken care of every minute detail in the room and all our needs had been catered to. We received very warm service from the staff at the Taj Theog Resort & Spa, Shimla during the entirety of our stay. I want to convey special gratitude to miss kiran from the ird team, miss priya from the front desk and mr. Sandeep from the main gate who made our stay memorable. In spite of spending 4 complete days indoors due to the rain, we had a very memorable stay as we were well taken care of at the resort. The wonderful heated pool and the jacuzzi were our favorite relaxation zones at the property. The quality of food was also top notch. The Taj Theog Resort & Spa, Shimla also has a very nice recreational zone with fun activities to keep their guests entertained. I look forward to planning another trip to theog to stay at the lovely taj in the near future.

Hi All ! Check-in - it was very smooth and quick as we're drove from Delhi and it took us approx 11 hours with a break, we were there for 3 nights, we had 3 Premium Valley rooms with balcony (401,403,405). The check-in staff was very courteous and prompt. Hotel: very clean, proper COVID precautions, surroundings were very clean, toilets very clean, Taj Theog Resort & Spa, Shimla areas were very clean. Rooms: the rooms are very clean and sanitized properly before every check-in. the room size is pretty decent for this property. the balcony is also good and spacious. the room can only accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults with 2 kids below 10 with one extra bed . should come at a minimum for 3 nights. Food : food is very good in terms of taste, quantity , freshness and prices. We had all the meals package. there is only a buffet for breakfast and lunch and dinner it's from the menu at Tragopan restaurant. the quality of food is pretty decent and quantity is also good. Staff : very very courteous. Cleaning and housekeeping - thanks for taking good care of the room and always being there. Spa: we took 30 good minutes spa. the staff is clan and very trained. the rooms are very clean. Note - take room opposite side of what we got. Must try masala tea .margarita pizza, pasta mix sauce .fish, paneer tikka, house salad. need RTPCR test or vaccination report for Taj Theog Resort & Spa, Shimla only. Drive and Duration: From Delhi, roughly 11 hours as the roads are getting expanded in between. drive SUV. Must do : hiking towards the lake via DAFFI residence it's approx 4 km on way but worth the beauty .

The luxury of our room was surpassed only by the unmatched service and hospitality of the staff, who treated us more like family than guests. The meticulously organized picnic in the enchanting nearby forest turned into one of the most memorable experiences for my family and me. It was a magical experience that went beyond our expectations. One can never go wrong with a taj property. Taj theog resort & spa is a gem in the high hills. The property provides a breathtaking view of the valley and the peaks surrounding it. An expansive property with excellent upkeep and well appointed rooms, one can leave their worries behind and the excellent team at the property will take care of the rest. Multiple restaurants with lip-smacking food and a lovely bar serving one’s choice of spirits will leave you spoilt for choices. The jiva spa is wonderful for relaxation, and the jacuzzi adjacent to the indoor pool is the perfect place to spend a couple of hours in self-care, either solo or with friends and family. The weather is amazing and the property organizes cultural programmes done wonderfully by local artistes. They also offer multiple outdoor activities ranging from target shooting, bow n arrow, a guided outdoor trek through the forests to a lovely peak with a view, a private camp setting at another peak. They also have multiple indoor games such as table tennis, a pool table, carrom, foosball, 2 play-stations and an indoor child-safe play area. We had an amazing time at taj theog and cannot wait to go back!

The property is one of those eminence of taj. Located approximately 1 hrs away from shimla with a steep 1 way climb for the last 500 meters - will bring in the smiles. The property has absolutely minimalism feel with everything you want in place. We were offered a warm welcome with a traditional cap and a tikka - we were then given a welcome drink. We requested a room on the higher floor so they provided us the room - but since there was construction on the outer side we requested them to change our room which they did graciously. There is heated swimming pool and there is jacuzzi which requires pure booking. The rooms are basic with all required amenities- missed the fruit basket which normally the taj properties provide. The buffet is wide spread and tastes good they also provide complimentary snacks at 4. The only minus point is that there was nothing to do in the vicinity. So we had to drive down an hour to shimla market. This property is when you want to enjoy the days in seclusion with minimal touch points and maximum relaxation it will touch your heart for sure.

One of the best taj Taj Theog Resort & Spa, Shimla services, i’ve ever been privileged to receive. Beautiful property with all the wooden works, and the view gets more breathtaking when you walk in or reach your room with snowy peaks of himalayas in front of you or the valley of stars in the night. High quality service provided by the team. I would like to mention few names like mr. Bhandari, ms. Harleen & mr. Karun, mr. Pravin, mr anshul here. We stayed in this resort for 3 days & celebrated my bday & the restaurant team put all their efforts to make the day extra special for us, on the day as well as during our whole stay. Special mention to the staff from the bar, who actually put extra efforts to make a mocktail of our choice. They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable & memorable. I would love to visit them again & would definitely recommend this property to everyone for their shimla stay.

Our stay at taj was fantastic. We had an amazing time. The staff was courteous. Mr. Bhandari, karun, preeti, vilash, gites h at the restaurant were very polite and always willing to help us. They attended to us very well. Our 8 month old baby had a great time interacting with them. The chef is very professional, we were served scrumptious food. The food was par excellence, especially the mutton and pancakes. Amrinder, rachna, sachin, akhil at the help desk were a delight to interact with. Their willingness to help and make sure that we were comfortable is worth appreciation. Mr chatur was kind to help us with the swimming slots. The house keeping staff made sure our stay was clean and hygienic. It was a great holiday, all thanks to the taj. A special thank you to staff. Looking forward to visiting the place again. It's a must visit.

Makemytrip gave inaccurate information at the time of booking. They mentioned sauna at property which was not there at all. However, taj compensated this with spa treatment. It was an amazing stay. Rooms with valley view were great and food options for veg at the Taj Theog Resort & Spa, Shimla was very good. There was a heated pool and jacuzzi at the Taj Theog Resort & Spa, Shimla which was good.

The resorts location and ambience is great very well designed and laid out property. The horticulture team has done a great job by planting flowers and plants that are native as well as exclusive. The resort organises local nature walks there is only one which is close by the rest our minimum 25’km away and fall in the category of day trip. The pool and jacuzzi are nice though found the water way too warm for comfort at 31 and 36 degrees. It would be better to maintain at 28 degrees as per international standards. The changing room at the pool is also being used as staff toilet which should be avoided. Food specially alacarte was good the dinner buffet can do with some improvement for instance the choice of rice for biryani was wrong

The view from the property was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One small thing which i felt is that the food taste and variety could be more better.

Undoubtedly a must visit place when you plan a trip to shimla. Taj theog is one such property which you cannot miss. Located at top of theog with unrestricted views of mountains and best in terms of hospitality as well. Specially the indoor heated pool and jacuzzi are the usp of this property. Food was also awesome and the staff was also very warm and courteous.

Taj Theog is a great property to relax your mind and soul, in the peaceful mountains. The resort is as beautiful as the scenic mountains and the blue sky. The staff here makes you feel at home. Greeting with folded hands and a big smile, each time any of them sees us, makes our souls happy. The staff at every level is professional and the most cooperative ever. The food at the restaurant is simply great. You get any customisation if you want. The chefs make full efforts to satisfy the taste buds of the guests. Chef Munish Sharma, who was there when we visited, is one of the best. The Apple Tea is a must try. Chef Munish made sure that we get the perfect taste which we wanted. The Spa, The Play Area, The Property… overall a perfect place to spend your holidays at.

the location is OK but the food is too good.... enjoyed my short stay tried to plan celebrations but couldn't be managed
