Taj Wayanad Resort & Spa, Kerala

We went to taj wayanad on 20th august, 2023. It was me, my wife, our 2 month old daughter and the nanny. I must say that our stay in wayanad was a huge success solely because we decided to stay in taj wayanad. It's a beautiful property with all amenities that you would expect from a 5 star resort. Val-let service is swift and active. Reception is grand and luxurious. They provide buggies to travel within the resort. Our villa was huge and genuinely extremely luxurious. Since wayanad doesn't have too many places to visit outside, it's sufficiently enjoyable to even stay back inside the villa and enjoy the views from the private garden area. Breakfast and dinner buffet are way above expectations both in terms of taste and spread. Service from the staff is top notch and is better than most of the other famous 5 star Taj Wayanad Resort & Spa, Keralas / resorts in india. The staff always have a smile on their face and provide the best hospitality that you could ask for. They took the extra step of understanding our priorities and made sure to fulfill all our requirements to the best of their abilities. Since the property doesn't have a liquor license yet, the staff even took the initiative of going out to the nearest town and getting our preferred liquor from the liquor shop there. I would like to specially highlight the exceptional service and great hospitality shown by the following members of the staff in the Taj Wayanad Resort & Spa, Kerala : - prabhakara k - vi-nu vijayan - sreejith restaurant manager - mukul kumar - hari vm - chef saline kumar the above mentioned peopled have shown great efforts and have taken all steps necessary to ensure a hospitable and comfortable stay for us. They deserve all our encouragement and applause that we can give them. I was so impressed by the hospitality that we are thinking of holding a corporate event of our own company in taj wayanad in the future. We will return soon. Thanks again for everything. Taj wayanad is one more excellent Taj Wayanad Resort & Spa, Kerala from taj resorts. It's in wayanad touching the banasura dam, the view from the resort is picturesque u can see the lake and the mountains from all the side. All three restaurants, shaimana, southern spice, and lounge bar, have a panoramic view of the dam and shamian and lounge bar, they even have an outdoor deck for sitting and enjoying your dinner and drinks. The poolside restaurant is equally good, but it serves only finger food, people's enjoy high tea, which is complimentary for everyone who is staying with taj wayanad. Shamian is the multi cuisine restaurant, southern spice as the name says it has wonderful south indian cuisine, veg and non veg. Lounge bar has an exceptional view of the dam from the outer deck. The hospitality at taj wayanad has a new class. The staff is courteous, humble, hard working, and ever smiling. The breakfast has a good spread and is served with a smile. It's a lovely place to relax for a short or a long vacation. The peace and silence are rejuvenating. It's a must visit place. I'm not posting the room pictures as the Taj Wayanad Resort & Spa, Kerala has just completed one year in november 2023 and also there isn't any doubt the all the rooms of every taj Taj Wayanad Resort & Spa, Kerala are well designed spacious and with all modern amenities. A beautiful thing about every room in taj wayanad, they have a balcony and the view of the lake, get up early morning to the serene view of the dam with a cup of tea, sip it slowly its like you are in heaven. There is a lot to write but would be more enjoyed when u are there, words are not enough for the beauty and hospitality of this place.

Wow w ah taj so amazing luxurious and beautiful resort with all modern amenities and breathtaking 360 degree lake mountain view’s. So lush green and well maintained property. Big thanks to entire resort team who made our stay so unforgettable right from the time of check in till check out. Especially heartfelt thanks to mr. Sharath raj and mr. Vijayan for the way you people have taken care for made us feel so special during all 2 days stay at resort. A big thanks to mr. Mukul and mr. Nirav for their true hospitality at shamiana. You both had made our all lunch high tea and dinner time so amazing with taking care of small small things. Itne pyaar se baht baht khilaya aap dono ne. My kid always remember you both. Words will be less to mention about property and it’s location as it is must visit and to be experienced resort. Plunge pool with so amazing mountain views is really highlight of this property. All amenities are so well planned and picturesque that makes you always connected with natural beauty of kerala. Completely rejuvenating vacation. Kudos to resort team, keep it up. I will definitely visit this property again.

I especially appreciated luxury, comfortable, and the stunning view. It was evident that great care is taken to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. Throughout our stay, every staff member we encountered was courteous, attentive, and eager to assist with any request. Their dedication to ensuring a pleasant stay did not go unnoticed. Overall, our experience at taj, wayanad was nothing short of exceptional. My review is on the basis of comparing it with one of the other taj property that i have stayed. I feel the staff can be more courteous and make the customer feel at ease and provide him/her with all relevant information to enjoy the stay. For eg - there was a high tea organized in the evening which we were not aware of until we happened to visit the tropics restaurant by chance. Similar was the case with the live music performance on saturday which we had no clue about and not informed prior. Also, the person at the tropics counter was not ready to come to our table and take our order until i went to the counter myself and ordered for a sandwich. So we felt this is not the taj experience that we expected. Location is very good with majestic view of the banasura hills and food was also reasonably good.

This nature friendly resort facing banasura lake, is the perfect resort for a weekend getaway in wayanad. High quality rooms & high quality service. Every staff member i encountered, from the valet to the check-in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help. The cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! from the starter to the dessert the quality & tastes of everything was outstanding. I enjoyed every single bite of the meal in 'shamiana. It can be expensive but worth it. Servers are also great and always efficient, happy & polite. I highly recommend this resort for anyone visiting wayanad.

Excellent property… Great food, wonderful live music around high-tea, fantastic service.. Have to mention Lina, Kaverappa, Chef Prajwal, Chef Raj and to be honest, every person who assisted us was friendly and warm…! Yoga session in the morning was great too. Don’t miss the spa and the pool. For younger kids, indoor play area is a nice addition. Man made elephant in the property is another fun element. To top it all is this mesmerizing view of the mountains that surround the backwaters of the Banasura dam… All in all, worth a visit with family!!

It was a wholesome experience. From check in till check out everything was smooth and comfortable. The property is amazing and beautiful. Taj has always maintained its standard and will never disappoint you.

Good location with mesmerizing view. Food and service was decent, though breakfast spread options were similar through our 3 day stay. Use of plastic bottles was a big let down(they told that they have acted upon it. Morning yoga sessions are a plus.

Property’s location is probably the best location of wayanad, amenities and services are excellent. Staff is really good. However food can be improved. The menu is limited.

The view from the room was very good even though i booked a basic category room. The rooms are also very spacious and the resort was neatly maintained. They had kept fruits and chocolates for welcome in the room. The restaurant shamian staff was very friendly and kind, food was also tasting delicious one must try. Pool is very spacious and my kids loved it though it was not temperature controlled pool. Everyone must stay minimum 2days in this resort to enjoy the whole.
