The property is neat and clean and very well maintained. Has supply of hot water. The view from the hall is excellent.

The location of property is excellent The property is so morden and well designed aesthetically also washroom are very hygiene.It is must try place

The place was quite clean and calm when we reached.....wonderful view and cozy rooms made us fall in love with the stay...restrooms were even clean more than expected....delicious home made food didn’t make us feel we are away from home...overall so good...worth the penny...recommend.

Room view was good food is also good but is not good many things was missing like no mirror in room tv was not working in bathroom bad smell was coming fridge was not working

It's a simple homestay. Excellent for family groups as you get all three rooms for yourself. It's inside the market and is difficult to find , make sure to save the location in your maps. No hot water, No AC, even though provisions are there. It's not fair to ask for the same for the price paid though. The lady of the house was warm and welcoming and will definitely plan a stay again here. Highly recommended, but limit your expectations to a homestay.

the cottage is nice, neat, good view, but the approach road is a bit tricky and i would not advise this place for sr citizens. also request the owner to add a fan in the living area and shower heads in all the bathrooms ( currently only 1 bathroom has shower). Also must add that food cooked on the premises is excellent and so is the housekeeping.

The caretaker, mr. Tushar has managed the property really well. We were skeptical when we walked through the market area if this property would be worth but yes, it is definitely worth! the views are outstanding and the place is built with the valley view which is so beautiful! as mentioned online, this is not a 2bhk but actually a 3bhk with 3 attached bathrooms in each of the rooms. The common area/living room has a dining table with the valley view and is very graciously built, well ventilated with sliding glass doors/windows. The bathrooms are well kept and clean. Hot water is available in the bathroom 24x7. You have monkeys running around and jumping on the roof which adds to the fun of seeing them around most of the time. This place is built in nature, a definite 5 out of 5.

The stay was good, clean & had a good view. Even the food they provided was delicious. It was near the market, so everything was easily accessible.

Rooms are very good newly renewed with shared balcony matheran hill view and it is 2 min from market road and located in local residential area which is advantage. Owner is really helpful. Stayed with family. Overall really good experience

We had a beautiful start at tanish cottage for 4 days and 3 nights. It is very close to the market in matheran. Pros- 1. Two comfortable rooms side by side, just appropriate for a family of 4 2. The rooms had a good working ac and fan as well, room is maintained well with good toilets and slow but decent wifi. 3. The cottage is managed by a very friendly and helpful local family which lives next door. They also cook home made meals if you wish. 4. The best part is the beautiful view you get just outside the room. It is directly mountain facing with a beautiful view of the sunrise. You can literally see the sunrise from your bed. 5. There are many restaurants just 5 mins walk from the cottage. We recommend ram krishna hotel. Cons 1. Only the approach to the cottage is a bit dicey with some steep steps, but since this is a hill station and given the grand view, this is a small thing. 2. The tv in one of the rooms is not working overall, it was a beautiful experience, highly recommended.

The cottage we hired is good, rooms are clean, view is amazing. The approach road to the cottage is average right now coz renovation and construction going on, but in sometime there will be a different approach. Owners are very nice and friendly. I would recommend family, groups to stay here if you don't have to stay in a resort.
