Tea Harvester property is located in the midst of a tea plantation, offering breathtaking views of the hills and tea gardens. The rooms are clean and spacious with balconies overlooking the tea gardens. The staff is courteous and helpful. The food is good but slightly overpriced. The property is ideal for a peaceful and relaxing getaway, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. However, the approach road to the property is rocky and narrow. Overall, Tea Harvester is a great choice for nature lovers seeking a serene and tranquil stay.

Average Hotel & Disappointed with Food

Hi, I visited the Tea Harvestor recently. I was there for 2 days from 31 Aug to 1 Sep. Place & location is very good. Very well surrounded with Tea farms and nice view from both balconies (front & back). Here are the some pros & cons 1. Very good location. 2. Nice view from the room. 3. Room is clean. 4. Bathroom are tidy and clean. 1. No buffet in breakfast. You need to order BF from limited choices. I have traveled lot and in other Tea Harvesters they provide buffet for BF and users are free to take what they like. Here I felt management don’t want to give the freedom of choices in BF. Food is also not good. It is all tasteless. Big no for lunch. Found a BEETLE in my veg biryani. I am pure veg and after seeing that bug in my food was not able to eat anything rest of the day. Pathetic and very disappointing. Attached the pic of the same. Other food options are very far (3-4 KM) as this resort is far from the city market hence finding other food corner is a challenge. No Lifts. If you are travelling with kids or aged people then room at 2nd floor will be a problem. 5. Last 100 mtr stretch of road to resort is bumpy and not good. Its very steep, narrow and can’t cross 2 cars. Hope this helps you to make wise decision.
Wonderful stay

The location of the Tea Harvester is far away from the hustle bustle of the city which gives you a peaceful environment to relax and rejuvenate. We were staying in the super deluxe room which took me by surprise for its space. The room was so spacious that me and my 2 year old kid could play ball passes there itself. We had not opt for the package with food as we prefer to eat a la carte according to the mood of our taste buds. The food was simply delicious but a tad expensive as they levy a lot of taxes and service charges over and above the high priced dishes. Service was a bit laid back which is what is expected at holiday resorts as no one is in a hurry for anything. The only drawback was the WiFi which disappointed us as it was not available in our room but otherwise everywhere else in the resort the internet signal was peaking.
Idyllic

I don't want to call it a Tea Harvester - it was like staying at a friend's homestay or a farmhouse. Located in the hills of Munnar, right at the heart of a tea estate - and a tea estate with Rich heritage (you'll learn about it in the morning one hour tour given by the Tea Harvester manager). It is ideally located close to key locations. Absolutely amazing food, and the Tea Harvester staff is the sweetest! That's why I prefer small, cozy, well managed and peaceful Tea Harvesters over 4/5-star chains - the customized service and the peaceful experience. The view is just awesome - hills from your bed and the tea garden from your door. if you want an idyllic stay, to cozy up with your friends and family and just unwind, this is the place. Oh, and every, literally every corner is picture perfect! Enjoy! :)
Overall satisfactory stay

Stayed at the Obetel Grande Resort with family. We stayed at rooms 309, 310. These east facing rooms had a beautiful view of the hill lock adjacent. Hotel is 3 floors high. Check-in was very smooth. Polite staff at the check-in desk. The premises very clean and plenty of parking available. Our plan offered complimentary breakfast. The breakfast was to our liking. Fresh fruits, cereals, south Indian items and purity bhaji, eggs to order etc. Staff catering were very polite as well. Rooms were clean and modern. The big sized window showed beautiful view of the hill lock. The premises were easily tracked on google maps. Bathrooms were a little cramped, could have been larger. Swimming pool was a disappointment. Oceans not fully filled, small though. Overall a satisfied stay. Could stay again.
Peaceful and mind refreshing stay!

I've been seeing this Tea Harvester since one year whenever I search a stay in Munnar for myself, friends and my guests. Its charming looking and mind-blowing greenish surrounding are really impressed me. But I missed it all times for several reasons. Finally I could make a reservation for myself any my Saudi friend to stay here on 6th of Aug. The most impressive thing to me was the Tea Harvester & place look same like it shows online, never disappointed. It's a small property with 10-12 rooms so you won't be annoyed with crowd. They designed it in a British colonial style with woods and antiques and historical pics. overall you can have a peaceful & relaxing stay with pure natural nuisance!
Wonderful stay at Tea Harvester

Awesome stay at this boutique Tea Harvester with my family include spouse, children and parent for 3 nights. I am very much satisfied and will give excellent rating for mainly the below things, picturesque place situated inside a tea garden. Its extremely quite place within the nature. Zero noise and beautiful sounds of birds and insects will make feel that you are somewhere very far from the City, whereas its not, its just little far from Munnar Town on Cochin Road. View front side is the green Tea garden and the backdrop is jungle and Hills. To witness this beautiful there 2 balconies at front and back. Good foods and on-time room service. Friendly staff.
A very cute hotel at a VERY BEAUTIFUL place! :)

Tea Harvester Tea Harvester was even better, cater, prettier than what I had seen online. The location of this Tea Harvester is so beautiful and the rooms are comfortable and cosy, the best thing about the rooms? Every room has a balcony and you can see the Sun rising right from your bed! Wow! And just outside the room is the amazing tea plantation. The Tea Harvester gave a complimentary tea garden walk too :). Now coming to the staff, they are really sweet, they really make you feel home :). I had an amazing stay. Thank you Tea Harvester.
A must stay

If you're planning a trip to munnar and wish to enjoy the authentic reason to stay in munnar. Tea harvester is a must must stay. Beautifully located in the tea estate valley with tea plantation right in front of your room. What more do you even need, excellent and caring staff to cater for the limited rooms with a brief history of the property makes you really want to experience a one time stay. I will come to munnar soon and will definitely stay here only.
Perfect ambience. Overlooking the tea estate.
Good budget hotel with good stay

My wife and I stayed at the Tea Harvester in Jan 2020. It is beautiful property situated in a beautiful location. The evening walk in the tea garden is mesmerizing. The rooms are clean big with huge balconies. All balconies have the hill and the jungle view while the one at the door has tea garden view.
Fantastic Property In the Middle of Tea Plantation

The Tea Harvester is in the tea garden itself what else one can wish for? staff is well mannered, food was good and a bit costly but the location of the Tea Harvester justifies that. Overall we loved the Tea Harvester, nature loving ppl must go for this.
The location within the Tea plantation

Good Location, The rooms and cleanliness was very good. The WiFi BB provided was pretty good. The quality of the food is good but on the expensive side. Enjoyed the stay at the Tea Harvester. The 45 minute talk by Tony on Munnar, Tea, Cardamom and Pepper was informative.
Amazing view

The Tea Harvester is located in magnificent surroundings, especially the view from the room balcony. The service is excellent, all Tea Harvester staff members are very polite and helpful. We booked both a hike with guide and a cab drive via the Tea Harvester, both were very nice as well. We highly recommend the Tea Harvester.
Excellent Stay

Loved the stay. Restaurant serves very good food. They have less staff so you can't expect super speed service. But staff is very courteous and makes the best efforts.
The room had fantastic view and loved the balcony.
Worthfull stay

Hotel is nice to stay. We got 109 room which had a good view and room is very spacious for two people although bathroom is small but very clean. WiFi doesnot work in rooms and food is expensive with less options. Overall a nice place to spend a weekend.

I think the kitchen sanitization could've been better. Especially none of the cooks wore masks or gloves or hair cover while cooking.
Amazing experience

Tree Harvester is the best place in Munnar to experience its tea gardens. The resort is located right in the middle of the tea garden and spice garden. Room balcony is facing tea garden at one side and spice garden at other side. Rooms are big and spacious. Staff is very polite and always ready to help. Only one thing can be improved is food varieties and quality.
