The Alpine Woods | A-frame Wooden Cottages

Hotel was excellent and also close to all kufri sightseeing point. Food was delicious. My children were desiring to stay here for 3-4 days

Location and food was good. Service is great but lack of basic amenities will force us to leave within 1 night stay as we booked it for 3 nights. No wifi (they mentioned in amenities while booking) no tv (kids get bored) cleaning is not accurate, bathroom accessories missing, tea bags placed openly on table and so on.

Booked 2 cottages for 2 days, found rats in the cottages, dirty drinking water, dirty pillows, no water for bath (happened twice in 2 days with 3 hours of waiting, no dental and bathing kit, hair in ordered breakfast

Location is right on the shimla kufri main road. They have a decent restaurant. Cottages are too good, clean & spacious. Service is good & the staff are very friendly & helpful. We enjoyed our stay in alpine woods a lot.

Food was not up to the mark. In terms of hygiene, the curtains were not good. The bed sheets were not good either. I am disappointed with the hospitality. I have paid 6k+ per night and it is a 4-star stay but i did not feel like that.

Food, cleanliness and services were pathetic.

Very close to nature and superb superb very good service from rahul bhaiya, immediate food providing services doesn’t matter what the time is and they provide heaters which makes the stay really cosy.

It is a nice place to stay for family with kids. Attic is a nice and new experience for city folks. Construction appears new. It is generally well maintained but needs some upkeep. Food is ok. Staff is really helpful and attentive. Overall a good choice especially if your focus is nature and hills and proximity to shimla city/mall road isn't the priority (kufri hilltop is 10 mins compared to 30mins for mall road. Only one room heater was provided. That too with one rod missing and one not working. Really inadequate for such a chilly weather with temperatures in night running into negative at times

Location is good, food is good but they tie their dogs in the kitchen, hygiene was average some of the pillows and bed sheets were not clean

i was impressed by the a frame villa & booked it i was there for 2 might in different cottages. experienced poor amenities no hot water & floor is not matted, poor quality primitive heater hardly keep you warm. villa is duplex no heater in upstairs so if you want you have to pay. an air conditioning with heater, electric geyser & proper floor matt would make the place comfortable. no value for money. just torturing yourself to cold and harsh winter spoiled my tour. on the second day we were already experiencing cold and feverish and under medication. unless the places provides basic amenities it is not all recommended. they have a very good restaurant attached but it’s terribly expensive. just 5 small spoons of cornflakes will cost you rs 120/₹.

This is terribly cold in december if the hotel doesn’t provide hot water & let you down in cold water tour becomes a spoil sport

If you want to disconnect from the hustle of the city this is exactly the place for you, its a beautiful accommodation, hidden in the mountains and its just wonderful to stay there. Mr. Sunil who was our host was a lovely person. We had a comfortable check-in and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The food was amazing, if you want to order something, do order their pahadi chicken from the tribe cafe, its mouth watering. There are apple orchids nearby if you wanna take a trek in the nearby place. Overall the place is excellent to stay in. Like i said a dream place!

Luxury stay at affordable price

Only good thing about the property was the construction of the cabins. The maintenance is poor, even basic facilities are lacking. Bathrooms lack any shelf, no towel rods, fittings are broken. Table chairs in poor condition, half broken. The property is very small with just 3 cabins, out of which only 2 have top floor which can be used. One cabin is of low height and an adult can barely stand on the top floor. Availability of food is very limited, and quality of food is very average. Overall not worth the price charged, not worth more than 3k per night

Poor entry even donkeys are stored in main gate if property they are cattles tied in front gate of property

They maintained a good hygiene overall, little cleanliness and hygiene is required at dining area. Overall experience good.

Property is nicely maintained. The cottages are the add ons. Silence here is blessing for those who comes from city life. Surrounding is excellent

Nice cosy stay at a good location, surrounded by the alpine trees and very close to the main road. The caretaker is very helpful and the food is also good!
