The fact that this houseboat is gorgeous with all the intricate cedarwood carvings, perfectly adorned interiors coupled with an amazing view of the mighty Himalayas doesn't even begin to describe why I'm in love with this place. As soon as we reached the dock, we were greeted by an entourage of staff and were seated in the houseboat Front Area with a nice hot cup of Kahwa and assorted cookies. The owner personally greeted us and as we spoke about our trip,we instantly knew we were going to enjoy every bit of our experience in the houseboat. The owner spoke to us for a good hour about his travels and experiences about the world and personally made sure we were taken care of with a scrumptious Kashmiri dinner. The chef also delivered on our dessert request. The staff were so polite and welcoming and took care of our every need no matter what. There's something to say about the hospitality & extreme kindness of the Kashmiri people and this place definitively deserves an award for the best hospitality ever. I definitely recommend this place, not just for the experience of staying in a luxurious and well maintained houseboat, but for everything in between. I promise your heart will be full with love for the people of Kashmir and you'll want to come back for more because of how well the owner and the staff take care of you at the Appollo 11 Group of Houseboats 🚢⛵!

The room is good and clean, it is well maintained. There are 4 rooms and a living room with TV and dining table as well Towels were old but clean, we can carry own towels if we are hygiene freaks The staff served breakfast promptly and it tasted good. We ate Poha and omelette bread. Water bottles were given too. We asked them to get us cool drink, they served immediately It is good for a family to stay and safe as well. We left some stuff in Bath room and they were nice to keep it safely and return to us after 3 days when we came back. It is in the centre of market place, Ghat no. 9. Bathroom had hot water facility. The view from balcony is nice and we can get shikara ride on Dal lake from here easily, small shopping can be done as some vendors came in the morning to the house boat. We were asked to leave our footwear outside the rooms so better to carry a slipper in bag if we do not want to walk barefoot but the whole house boat has wall to wall carpets. The shikara ferry was nice and free of cost. The over all experience was very good, we relaxed and enjoyed the stay

This was our first visit to Kashmir with my wife and kid. Have always heard about Dal lake, Houseboats and Shikaras in books and seen in movies. But seeing it with own eyes is something else which cannot be described in words. After landing in Srinagar, we were dropped on the other side of the Dal Lake and the Shikara was ready to pick us. We reached the houseboat in 3 mins and was warmly greeted by Mr. Zahoor. He also was kind enough to upgrade our second night stay in a super deluxe room. After having Kahwa and cookies we set out for a Shikara ride for 3 hours from Dan lake to Nigeen lake and back and this was arranged by Arif our houseboat caretaker at a very reasonable rate. The ride was mesmerizing. Now some good things about the houseboat. Clean and decent room with intricate designs of wood everywhere. Hot water. Very good food and freshly prepared. Took special care to make is less spicy for my kid. Very nice and quiet view of Dal Lake unlike Nigeen Lake.

A houseboat-stay in Srinagar was the best choice I have made and Appollo Eleven Group of houseboats on Dal Lake was the ultimate experience! From the location to every details. A vacation was a total success. I can only support and agree with other reviewers who loved Appollo Houseboat. The boat is very well taken care of, very cozy and clean, even a new bathroom has been added. The owner personally takes care of his guests and makes sure nothing is missing. He serves his guests a simple breakfast and can cook the most tasty dinner to round out the perfect day. If you are looking for a truly unique and relaxing Appollo Houseboat. If you decide to travel, you can leave the planning to the owner. His support staff is the best. Prices are also very reasonable. I traveled on several days and found Kashmir completely safe. Visible army posts, if you follow the rules everyone is kind and pleasant.

Despite the existing harsh weather and serious weather warning for our trip to Leh ladakh, we happened to travel to Leh via Srinagar. Bad experience on road due to Eric traffic condition. Booked this The Apollo 11 Heritage Luxury Houseboat, Srinagar on MakeMyTrip and spoke to the owner about their readiness with room on our late night arrival. The staff was very courteous and helpful in leading us to room in Shikara. We could not taste good in this The Apollo 11 Heritage Luxury Houseboat, Srinagar since we were leaving soon for our onward journey to Sonnarg Kargil and Ladakh.

Intricately carved kashmiri woodwork on the walls, bright colorful rooms and to top it all. Luxury bathrooms which have both bath tub and shower cubicle. Stocked with high quality toiletries. Very good maintenance and great food. Room heater worked just perfectly. Clean washrooms and great ambience. The furniture and the interior are vintage and very well maintained.

My trip of Kashmir was like a dream come true. It is one the finest properties in terms of the stay and was beautiful too. The staff from house keeping to the manager Mr. Waseem were extremely soft spoken and readily available for any kind of help. Rooms were clean and hygienic. Our stay was around Christmas. The way celebration happened made us feel so special. Arrangement was made for musical night, though it was paid but was Worth it. Food quality and quantity was good throughout our stay.

The house boot is excellent in terms of location, Rooms and Services. Evening high tea is the highlight of the venue with local singers performing. For dinner we opted for Kashmir thalli and it was a over dose of local food. All in all worth the money, away from the crowd.

Great place to stay when you’re in srinagar. The heating in the houseboat makes it cozy and comfortable even in freezing cold. The food is really good.

Everything was fine. Really loved it. But little costly. Loved Shikara ride . It was little far away from the ghat. But rooms were so beautiful. Limited dishes offered. Facilities were awesome Shikara organized.

From the beginning until check out time our stay was splendid. They really took care of us like a family. Mr Zahoor the owner of the houseboat was very helpful and kind. He helped us a lot during our stay. House Boat is clean as well bathroom I will definitely come back and stay here for my next vist! We were all very happy and delighted with their services! Excellent service by staff and shaukat. There were no dinner options though but the stay was comfortable.

A good view of the lake. Location is good. Bathroom was very good with a decent room. Staff were very well mannered. The owner was very helpful and suggested us the best way to reach Leh from Srinagar. Spent a lovely evening in the boathouse, with a shikara ride. Would like to visit once more if I go to Srinagar again.

It was really good experience staying for a night in this boat. Very well maintained, neat & clean. Toilets are excellent. Really good service. Interiors were looking really royal.

Beautiful house boat. Loved the stay here. Well maintained and lovely ambience. There courteous managers who managed the boat and provided all help. We even got breakfast on time. Breakfast was served in a boat which was fantastic. Still I would rate the stay here as very good and Memorable as we should understand it would be difficult to run a restaurant in the middle of the lake for just a few customers .
