This place is so pretty and cosy and comfy! it's a cute little nest in the nicer part of amritsar away from the crowds and crumbling atmosphere of the older city. Transportation in amritsar is easy, so we didn't miss staying away from the touristy parts. It's run by a retired couple - this is their father's property - and the house is beautiful and tasteful with old and new elements blended together. It was so good to see an older home retained and used. It's very calm and peaceful and the caretaker hans is very friendly and obliging. The beds are brilliant and they provide extra blankets. When we mentioned our flight would arrive early, they gave us early check-in even though we didn't explicitly request it. We only had breakfast one day but that was also delicious - hot aloo parathas and dalia khichdi. We wish payal all the best and rate this place full marks.

Excellent place around mall road. The place is beautifully decorated and maintained by the owner. She takes personal to ensure you have a pleasant stay. The property itself is like a curated museum, where each and every corner is designed and done up with elegance. You just wish, you had a place of your own, that was so tastefully done. The breakfast is amazing and homely. The property is centrally located and well connected with all the major attractions of amritsar. We recommend that you blindly follow the suggestions made by the host. You won't be disappointed. In short, a place that we would love to go back again and highly recommend to anyone who wishes to enjoy a pleasant and hassle free stay in amritsar!

The bunglow is an old haweli turned into a boutique The bougainvillea B&B | Rooms & Wi-Fi. Very tastefully done with unique corners n instagramable lobby, nooks n dining area! the breakfast was quite yummy n felt like home made. The rooms are a bit cramped. Good for 2 persons only. The staff need to ensure upkeep of the stuff in room. The host mars payal is quite a delight n very hospitable. We enjoyed her care, concern & hospitality! the entire family is involved, which makes up for any shortcomings. Would recommend this place surely

The property has a nice ambiance. The care taker hans took really good care of us during the stay. We have only 2 concerns 1)there is no regular parking therefore initially we had to park the car very far from the guest house in the market. Later we got to know we can park the in the back lane. 2) the gates of the guest house gets locked post 11:00pm. You have to call the caretaker on phone if you reach late at night to get it opened which is a hassle. No i am good.

We stayed there for 2 days, it was amazing. The breakfast was very delicious, home- cooked with varieties. The host made us feel very comfortable. Although rooms need a little maintenance, but for a homestay it was okay. The ambience indeed was splendid. The lobby, the dining hall gave a feel of ancient British times. Pleasant stay. Will love to visit there again. The terrace suite is the best❤️❤️

Our stay was very comfortable, special thanks to payal ma-am for giving extra care to her guests. Property is very beautiful and its location is also very good, all the tourist attractions are nearby and also it’s easy to reach from airport or railway station

We had great experience of stay and they have amazing staff at the bougainvillea. It is recommended for family and couples. Breakfast was healthy and homemade which we liked the most.

A beautiful room with perfect balcony with sunrise… in midst of Amritsar chaos we get our peace of mind and relaxation

The owner is very co operative, however the caretaker never answers the call, but the owner does! rooms and the vibe is great! there’s no parking and someone punctured the tire if parked outside the lane! overall the vibe is good, rooms are clean!
