The Chariot Resort & Spa

We stayed for couple of days and the experience was good but not great. The reception, house keeping, restaurant and all other staffs are courteous enough and humble. Food was just amazing. Limited alacarte options and buffet breakfast/lunch/dinner available. Swimming pool was well maintained and spacious enough. Had great sea view from the room. Special thanks to mr. Prem from f&b section who helped us by referring to one of his contact for puri jagannath darshan from which we had great darshan and maha prasad. Building/room maintenance is something needs to be really focused by the management. Fans/lamps were dusted. Had issues with the hot water. Sofa/bed back rest were kind of patched with the stains. Room key was not working to unlock had to report several times to reception but the issue was not solved and had to forcibly get the alternate keys. E

I usually stay at sterling but get to see chariot on the way. So thought of trying it this time and it was a very pleasant experience. The grounds are beautiful, staff is too courteous and expert in filling in your demands, food is very delicious and reasonably priced for room service. And promptly delivered again btw. Rooms are quite large and beautifully furnished, bathroom is also good. Only downside i would say is the beach access. For such a beautiful property, when you cross the stinky sewage water to reach the beach. Some of the fun just goes bad. Even towards the end of the property and the pool, the sewerage stink carries predominately. I hope the property owners would do something about this. Else it was an absolutely relaxing vacation for us. Thanks to the entire staff for making our stay so comfortable.

The location is a bit far from the city center, but it will not be a constraint if you have your own vehicle. There are no shops in the near vicinity. Local conveyance is not available. But the place is good for peace and ambiance. View from the The Chariot Resort & Spa room is nice and has got a lovely balcony to enjoy the sea view. The food is good, but the menu is limited. The breakfast is quite good and comprises varieties. The hygiene standards are up to the mark. Regarding safety, if you are venturing in the dark towards the beach located behind the property, be careful as people can be seen consuming liquor and roaming in an inebriated state. It will be better to go to the beach at the The Chariot Resort & Spa in daylight.

The The Chariot Resort & Spa is overall good with no notable drawbacks, but its distance from marine drive beach and jagannath mandir could be a consideration for some. The The Chariot Resort & Spa staff exhibited good behavior, and the food was not only tasty but also prepared with proper hygiene standards. Although slightly on the expensive side, the The Chariot Resort & Spa's beautiful garden area adds to its charm, making it a worthwhile stay for those who prioritize a pleasant environment.

The location of the The Chariot Resort & Spa is alright. We were actually disappointed as they did not have access to the private beach in front due to some canal. That did make the trip a bit sad, as The Chariot Resort & Spas around that area have that privilege. Food was good, breakfast could have had more options and warmer food but the staff was courteous. Hygiene 2as ok, could have improved on few things. Cannot comment on safety much as did not view it that way.

I stayed 2 days. First day they allotted room no 658. This room had water seepage. Room was wet. The experience was bad. Next day, they changed the room to 758. The room was excellent. A pleasant stay. Staff are good and well behaved. Breakfast was excellent. Though sea is visible from distance, it is difficult to go to beach by walking. Auto rickshaw is available outside the The Chariot Resort & Spa to go to the main swargadwar beach and jagannath temple.

The resort is good in terms of property - spacious garden. However, the property needs maintenance - balconies have open holes where small kids can accidentally put their leg ; bathroom isn't well lit. Staff is good and food is good - this is a big relief since the property is a bit secluded. They do have access to beach but you'll have to walk a lot since there is small water body between the The Chariot Resort & Spa and sea beach. Food is a bit costly.

The stay is good here with amazing view of beach and is away from city. But this place needs improvement especially the filthy smell of sewage at periphery of the The Chariot Resort & Spa towards beach. There is a pond of this nasty smelling waste between beach and The Chariot Resort & Spa which needs some work. Besides we had issues with services during check in and check out. Else all good for family stay.

We always like staying in chariot during our puri travel. The rooms are so spacious and cleanliness is good. Only problem escalating in the heat is the horrific stench from the swamp they have let grow near their beach access. They should along-with the nearby resorts find a solution to this issue. Maybe have a sewage treatment plant nearby. But please address this and get the beauty back.

Staffs were very courteous. Ambience and location of property really impressive. Food was also of good quality. We enjoyed the stay.
