The Clubhouse Ooty | Rooms in a Homestay

Visited on 12th of November. Me and my husband . As everyone knows that Ooty is literally cold climate . No hot water in the room. No dental kit it’s all basic things in hospitality. We are very disappointed because of this, Definitely we will not visit this hotel next time. We are about to fall sick because of no hot water . Nothing was there. Waste of money .

property is good and near to all side seen,but toilet was not good ,cold water not coming and taps all not working properly till that all was good human being receptionist what ever v asked all they provided tk u.

property is so close to botanical garden and very friendly host room was good but overall property is not much neet need a little maintenance too

Overall experience of the hotel is good.this stay doesn't include breakfast and food.Room is neat and clean, bathroom is well maintained.Caretaker of our hotel Mr.sumith is professional in this duty and make sure that we are comfortable during the stay

awesome place in the heart of ooty very good and polite staff most important tourist spots like botanical Garden etc. are nearby to this stay place everything ok except proper cleaning and maintenance otherwise it is very affordable and good place to stay.

Everything inside the room was broken, and there was no one at the reception, there was no heater in the bathroom, but the property rules say they provide a heater. I do not recommend staying here for families or couples, it was a worst experience.

We didn’t check in hotel as it was very dirty and under renovation about the hotel and haven’t helped

Dear MakeMyTrip Customer Service, I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent booking at The Clubhouse Ooty for which I checked in on 9th May 2025 at 1:30 PM and checked out by 5:30 PM the same day due to an appalling experience that made it impossible to continue the stay. This was, without exaggeration, one of the most horrifying, unsafe, and unacceptable stays I have encountered. I highlight below the key issues that led to my early departure:

No hygine maintain, totaly west of money,

Entire fraud group in the name of a temple next to it. They treated us as if they were giving us the room free of cost. The payment mentioned for this kind of broken room is too high and not at all worth it. The entire room was suffocating and there was a stinky odor. We could not stay in the room for more than 5 minutes. The bedsheets were so old and dusty and it felt like entering into a dungeon. The entire false ceiling was about to fall off anytime, I have attached a picture for proof as well. No one at the reception when we entered. We had to wait there as if we are going to get some free rooms from heaven. We felt so bad as soon as we entered the room and decided to shift to a different hotel. I requested the organisation for a refund, they offered to unblock the slot and if any other booking comes in, they promised to pay me. All the slots got booked and they showed a screenshot of payment received also. (I had paid 7688Rs for 3 days. They first said 2 days got booked and they refunded 3657Rs. on 19th April). The room got booked for the 3rd day as well but you can refer to the screenshots of how harshly they communicate. To prove they are frauds they were creating a scene for more than a week to refund the money. They keep saying that they are a non-profit organisation so we have to adjust to everything they do and provide. They should be communicated that they are not providing anything free of cost and we are paying so much for all the services.

Horrible experience, No hot water and no one is there at the reception. Don’t fall into trap of cheap value they provide. Better you can choose alternative even if costs more money.

Overall it was a good experience. Everything was fine. Good location. The care taker was friendly. The only problem was there were no shower in bathroom. But it was ok. We enjoyed the stay.
