Fort Dadhikar, Alwar

Dadhikar fort is an aesthetic place which is retaining the old world charm and is not changed like other forts converted to Fort Dadhikar, Alwars. This is good thing if you are looking to experience how old forts were, it is retaining the old furniture and artifacts. There is no swimming pool or kids play area in the fort which could be added as kids feel bored after a while. We booked 2 rooms, 1 for my parents and one for me, my wife and kid. Room allotted for my parents was a very small room with a lot of internal stairs but when we requested reception to change the room, they immediately took action and gave us a better and more comfortable room. Staff's attitude towards guests is really commendable, we reached late for lunch and since we already had a heavy brunch on our way we requested for ala-carte instead of lunch buffet and we were provided that on request. Best thing about dadhikar fort is the evening cultural program which we enjoyed a lot. We have stayed in other fort properties as well in neemrana, kumbalgarh, mandawa but the cultural program that was organized in dadhikar fort was much better, artists kept the entire audience engaged. Great appreciation for the artist group who performed. One problem that we faced was of water in the taps, since we stayed in may even the cold taps were giving burning hot water. Dadhikar fort management should definitely look into this so that in summers cold water can be provided through taps/showers. Overall, it's a good experience if you are coming for an old fort experience but if you are coming with the expectation of a 4 star Fort Dadhikar, Alwar with all the amenities this might not be the property for you to explore. Not to forget we also witnessed a large black snake in the evening close to our room which when informed to the reception took care of it. We had a good time and appreciated the staff and the artists attitude towards guests.

Starting off with the journey, just like the reviews online, the last leg of our journey was rather bumpy and cumbersome. However, upon reaching the fort, we were pleasantly surprised by the vibe of the place. It was soothing and inviting, all at once. We went there on a tuesday, so the place was quiet and peaceful. We were welcomed with a glass of cooling jaljeera and the staff was polite and courteous, through and through. Coming to our rooms, we had booked the suites, which they have only two of - one on the ground floor, another on the first level. We felt that the rooms, although spacious and cozy, could use a greater level of maintenance and deep cleaning. Some of the surfaces were dusty, a few lamps and switch boards didn't work, the bathtub had residual dirt at the bottom when we tried filling it up, etc. Apart from these few things, everything else was pretty much fine. Coming to their food and services, right from their high tea to dinner and breakfast, we couldn't really fault anything in terms of taste or service. All of it tasted fresh and well-seasoned. The dining area was set up beautifully and we were well-catered to. Overall, the old-world charm, the peace and quiet, as well as the natural beauty of the place, makes for a pretty decent stay for a day or two.

This place is away from the hustle bustle of Alwar City. Last 4km approach Road is very poor. There is no place to eat nearby. Few Zomato guys won't deliver as they are scared of the empty roads when dark. So it's a personal choice here. I didn't eat there and didn't mind the prices. Drove to the City to eat. One zomato guy delivered on a fine evening. Rooms are amazing. Sizes are good. I booked deluxe. Room floor is painted with hand and vegetable oils so it seems dirty but isn't. Being a Fort surrounded by only nature, you will find centipedes entering your room and maybe resident lizards. I didn't mind the centipedes. Although, the Fort Dadhikar, Alwar can pay attention and get their rooms treated for insects. The Fort is beautiful. Only Hills can be seen on all sides, nothing else. No wifi in Fort Dadhikar, Alwar. Mobiles networks are available. Vodafone is weak. Breakfast is great in the Fort Dadhikar, Alwar. Following the maps is the best option. It leads you directly to the entrance gate of the Fort Dadhikar, Alwar. It's a perfect 2 day getaway from the City life.

Our stay at dadhikar fort was comfortable. Staff was very polite and prompt in service. We were served with delicious food with our special request for no chillies in the dishes. The landscape was beautifully maintained and was clean with no litter at all. The resort is sprawled in a large area and is in further development stage. Following improvements are needed: 1. Plumbing work in bathrooms need attention. The taps were loose and there was leakage in a tap. 2. Window doors need proper sealing. It was cold when we were there. Though the heater provided took care of the dipping temperatures. 3. Dining area needs heating during dinner time. Overall experience was very good. Thanks to the staff.

Firstly, it is really an old palace, restored to serve as a Fort Dadhikar, Alwar, and in the style of Neemrana, trying to maintain the old world charm. It is really cutoff. No TVs in the room, no WiFi, poor connectivity on mobile networks. Limited food and activity options, no swimming pool, really restricts what you can do here. Ideal for a large family, or a group of friends, who want to escape from the daily rigmarole. Temperature outside ensured that the room remained warm despite AC. But, in the end, I would still say, a must go to place and experience, if near Alwar/ Sariska.

It's a beautiful small fort turned into a Fort Dadhikar, Alwar. Rooms are good big and nice. Staff is very good I must say. They take care of you well. It's a very peaceful relaxing stay with folk dance and shall night over the weekends. Hotel should increase their breakfast menu and offer a la carte because you have to buy buffet for lunch and dinner for extra bucks which is high especially if you don't intend to eat a lot. Moreover it's a vegetarian Fort Dadhikar, Alwar so they don't even serve eggs for breakfast. Overall a good stay.

Well maintained property, 20 mins from alwar city. It offers amazing views and you get to stay in the fort which is in a very peaceful area. Even if it's an fort but all comfort related points have been taken care of. The staff is super helpful and pleasing. My favorite part was having chai snacks with the amazing view from the fort. They plan for a cultural programme in the evening which was very engaging. Overall a great stay. Pro tip- book your dinner while room booking to save money

Great place to chill and relax with a great company of friends and family.

I stayed at this property in march 2024. Stay was good relaxing, location is away from city hustle near to sariska tiger reserve. Staff here is very humble, we found peace here, it was not the best time to visit because of summer season but still we enjoyed. We were happy throughout our stay.

Everything was excellent. Only the air conditioning needs improvement.

Everything was good except for the door heights in the room Mainak. It was so low that we kept hitting our heads on sharp corner wooden frame. Rest the place is good short break from Delhi. Prefer taking the tent rooms which are located at a nice point.

Very nice stay the staff was really good the location was awesome we enjoyed alot.

The room, location was great but the food was somewhat a let down. Only Vegetarian options and for that too, the preparation was not worth recommending.
Room could have the light and fan points next to the bed. It was immense to have the light switch far away from bed.

Location is a bit off beat, but thats how a fort should be placed. Had a relaxing experience, food was good at dinner. Breakfast was not so convincing. Still a good experience overall

It's a great place if you just want to chill in the property. No tv, sap and swimming pool. The fort has 18 rooms, old fashioned. Include all meals, though the buffet is there only on sunday. Weekdays there are hardly any guests. Not for senior citizens and those who find walking or climbing difficult

Peaceful place to stay for a night. We spent time on their courtyard for games among the teammates and at night the fort looks charming with lights. The rooms also gives a great vibe of rajasthan culture. The place gives a great view from top of all nearby plains and mountains. Variety in food menu can be expanded more i believe.

Nice for a family stay, peaceful, scenic and serene. Mornings are too beautiful with sun rising on one side and peacocks and sparrows singing on other.

We had a delightful experience during our stay at the property. The property is managed by the manager shubham, who was courteous from start till the end of our stay. Helper shivam lal made sure all our needs were met. You can also go for a small safari which is 15 mins away from the property

Ambiance and nature of the staff was really awesome. The nature and the royal beauty was splendid as if was healing the lungs, mind and soul. Good to stay here for one or two day.
