The Dew BnB | Rooms in a Homestay

We had booked a twin bedroom and the picture of the room as shown is incorrect. The twin bedroom means two single beds and it's quite small for three people. So the picture shown of triple occupancy is of another room. After a super 2 hour long fight, discussion and finally finding the wrong picture on MMT, we did get the proper room. Else, I would have been writing a very different review. The staff of the The Dew BnB | Rooms in a Homestay is very good. They served us breakfast at 5:30 in the morning. Though it was simple omelette, bread and tea but we loved it and the fact that they were preparing it so early. Also, since we were 3 of us and had to leave every day by 5:30 - 6 am. With one bathroom greeting ready would have been messy. So we requested access to another bathroom and they allowed us to use it. Which was a great help. The The Dew BnB | Rooms in a Homestay doesn't serve dinner. But when we did the double decker living root bridge and the rainbow falls we were dead tired. So we requested them to serve us simple dinner of dal chawal and they agreed. Not only did they agree they gave us sabzi and salad also. Ready kind of them to understand and accommodate.

The Homestay is located at Upper Nongrim Hills near Bethany Hospital in a quiet neighbourhood away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are lots of bakeries, restaurants, departmental stores just few blocks away from the homestay. I stayed there for 3 days and the service was excellent 👌. The staff were really freindly and co-operating and they arranged everything for us. The room was spacious with attached bathroom and a balcony. The room was very clean and it had two beds, a wardrobe, a coffee table and a wall mounted TV. Breakfast was provided at approximately 7 30 AM. Overall I had a great time staying there, would definitely stay there on my visit to Shillong.

They were not prepared for serving vegetarian breakfast which was really sad. For both the days of our booking, we could not avail our breakfast, inspite of the name being bed&breakfast. Inform them earlier if you’re vegetarian. They could only offer us maggi. They could not even serve fruits for vegetarian breakfast. So we did not have food there. The cleanliness of the property is really good and it is cleaned thoroughly every morning. Hygienic and very clean place to stay at. The location is easily accessible. Also close to a hospital, which makes it very easy to get cabs for travel-ling in the city. Also, walking distance to quite a few restaurants.

The place is Located near Nongrim Hills, and there’s a parking space which we usually don’t get in most B&B I have stayed with. So, one don’t have to worry where to keep their Car safely. Also, the caretaker are very good and friendly, if you have any problem you can always reached them out. I’m sure they’re more than happy to help the guests. The food that they served (breakfast) was alright, won’t say it’s excellent and doesn’t want to exaggerate it. Otherwise, it’s a good stay. I stayed in this property for 4-5 times with my Families and Friends who travel to shillong, and they have no complaints so far either. 😊

The staffs were very nice. There was a curfew going on unfortunately during our stay. We ran out of cash And there were no cash available in many of The atm. And they lend us some cash. All restaurants were also close And we were hungry. We inform them And they cook food for us. So, I want to say a big thank you for The hospitality an The service provided to us by The staffs. Will definitely come And stay there in next visit. Keep up The good work.

We stayed here for 3 days shillong cherrapunji trips the facility is very clean, locations is also very good. Kitchen is only for breakfast- right on time every day. Wantei makes very good bread omlette and tea. Food arrangement is provided with a tie up The Dew BnB | Rooms in a Homestay. They will give you plates and spoons extra from The Dew BnB | Rooms in a Homestay. Overall a good stay. The bathroom is good and has geyser. But can be improved

Locating The Dew BnB | Rooms in a Homestays in shillong can be a bit tricky, but our host was super helpful with that. Very efficient place. Our room was super tight on space, but had all the essentials. Breakfast was basic but good. Host also helped us with a lot of interesting options to order from swiggy. If you're traveling on a budget or using shillong as a stop over, it's a good place to consider.

Pros: Clean rooms with balcony. Hospitable staff. Room heater is available on extra charge. Breakfast time can be fixed as per convenience. Area is not as congested as police Bazar and is just 5 mins away walkable distance. Cons: Only choice of Puri or Paratha for breakfast and also doesn't taste good. Mattress is hard. No mineral water or toiletries provided except soap and sachet of a shampoo.

It’s a great place to stay.It was the best experience staying there. This place is very well maintained...Upon arrival we were welcomed by the Manager Wentei. Staff was extremely friendly, courteous & always ready to help. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We loved the ambience. Staff was very much cooperative And polite, provided homely dinner on request, helped in cooking children's meals.

Breakfast could have had more options to choose from. Room and washrooms were clean. Manager was polite.

The stay was really nice And The service was very excellent.

For the price we paid, we feel it was expensive. The room was really small, but the best thing was it was really clean and neat. Water was hot, sheets were clean. Breakfast wasn't that good

It was a good stay for us. The room was big enough And The Breakfast they served was also good. They allowed to use their kitchen to prepare baby food. Over all it was a good stay.

We had been there for 3 days and the place was peaceful, the staff were friendly and the ambiance was beautiful and clean.
