The Elgin Norkhill - Heritage Resort & Spa

Pros- Excellent Heritage Hotel with the old aura . Awesome view from the room. Excellent vintage The Elgin Norkhill - Heritage Resort & Spa decor. Good parking space . Nice small lawn to sip ur tea with a view. Helpful & courteous staff. Hilton the dog. Cons - the view was blocked after check in, due to ongoing arrangements for some marriage which went on till we checked out. Also the work used to continue due late in night giving a feeling of a Worksop . The lawn was blocked due to same & we couldn’t sip a single tea there. The facilities need an upgrade in the room to incl tub replacement, functional furniture upgrade, better tea assortments, Tv upgrade, better towels & usable bath robes, stationary etc. Basically cost cutting has been done in the name of heritage. I have stayed in other heritage The Elgin Norkhill - Heritage Resort & Spas for info. No reckonable common facilities for guests and kids. Food quality is too low though priced as high as other 5 stars. The cost compared to what you get. No newspaper or mineral water in rooms.

Due to the sikkim floods, my initial plan to travel to gangtok first had to be re-planned after free cancellation period had passed. Elgin reservations team though was very prompt and forthcoming, and gave the option to shift reservation to elgin darjeeling The Elgin Norkhill - Heritage Resort & Spa instead for the same booking dates. This helped me to continue my travel without losing my peace of mind. Coming to elgin darjeeling, the premium attic suite was huge & very well maintained. But the breakfast service needs to be improved with restaurant manager available to look after the requests as we had to call staff multiple times to get things like tea, items which were finished in buffet, etc

It's a heritage The Elgin Norkhill - Heritage Resort & Spa and the property is located near mg marg where you'd like to roam in the night. The rooms were old but quite good. The washrooms could have been better, the bathtub and buckets were not cleaned as i expected. Breakfast was good. I asked for an upgrade as i visited on my first anniversary but no luck which i believe they could have provided as the The Elgin Norkhill - Heritage Resort & Spa was not fully occupied. The staff was very nice and polite.

Location : excellent Hospitality : exceptional Food : very good Rooms : fabulous Spa : exceptional Overall : the property is heritage and in its truest sense. it is steeped in heritage and sikkimese culture in every nook and corner. the people are so warm and welcoming that you feel you belong there almost instantly. the outdoor garden is beautiful and so is it's resident, Hilton. the loveliest and quietest furball you will ever see. I would visit again for sure. recommended for everyone ❤️

The location of the property is great & nearer to the main m g road. The ambience of the The Elgin Norkhill - Heritage Resort & Spa/rooms are excellent. Food was very good & room service was excellent. They packed my breakfast also, as i checked out early morning by 5. 30 am, which was a great gesture from the The Elgin Norkhill - Heritage Resort & Spa staff.

A gem nestled in gangtok. I have travel-led to gangtok with my family and stayed at the elgin norkhill. A heritage property with all the modern facilities and a beautiful location. Comfy and clean, excellent service and extraordinary humility and courtesy of the entire staff. Would love to come back and stay again.

A quaint heritage The Elgin Norkhill - Heritage Resort & Spa conveniently located 10-15 mins walk from MG Marg. The staff is warm and courteous. On clear days, the rooms offer views of the Kanchenjunga range. However, the food is quite ordinary, and the rooms could benefit from better upkeep. Overall - 6/10

Excellent staff, the manager is very good and hospitable. We thoroughly enjoyed with hilt-on as well. Food was mind blowing. Only place i would stay in gangtok.
