I first stayed at another The Gateway Hotel Beach Road, Calicut but it was not worth the price so I switched to this The Gateway Hotel Beach Road, Calicut and was very happy! The lobby is beautiful, the pool is great and the rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Room service was prompt and accommodating in replacing a meal after I realized it had an ingredient that I can't eat. Their travel desk service is expensive for hiring a car (but just as expensive as at Kaadavu) so just find a car outside of the The Gateway Hotel Beach Road, Calicut. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Calicut.

The gateway The Gateway Hotel Beach Road, Calicut would be the right choice for people visiting calicut for the first time. Very close to railway station, beach, sm street and other major prime areas. Our package included both breakfast & dinner. They had a wide spread. The room is spacious, staffs were very courteous. Laundry service is remarkable, they pressed the cloth and returned in a short turn around. If you plan to try kerala cuisine, try appam and egg roast from room dining menu. The best i ever had. Overall taj was a great experience.

We had planned to make a early check out, so they arranged for a neatly packed breakfast for us. The pool was good and very well maintained. We had been there to attend convocation at iim kozhikode. You can easily walk to the beach. Just like other taj The Gateway Hotel Beach Road, Calicuts across, the hospitality is awesome by the staff. We had an excellent stay where the staff was very cordial. The food at its restaurant was always good and fresh. Room service is also very good. They arrange cabs in-case you want. Anytime visiting kozhikode, gateway should be the place to stay.

Not upto mark. Really disappointing. Old property. High priced, but no facilities are there in the room. Rooms are very small and old. Not well maintained. While booking its shown as buffet dinner and breakfast will be there. But they didn't gave buffet dinner. The food was the only thing which is ok. Otherwise overall stay is very pathetic. Didn't expect this in a Taj The Gateway Hotel Beach Road, Calicut.

A 5 star property very close to the Calicut Beach and so you can stay on the beach till late night too. Absolutely worth the money and don’t go by some of the older reviews, the amenities and facilities in the The Gateway Hotel Beach Road, Calicut are perfectly upto the mark. The stay was perfect in terms of the ambience, tasty breakfast with wide spread. The staff was very friendly and all requirements were dealt with priority. The guests were a mix of families and business travellers. The valet parking was handled by a group of well trained and friendly staff which was very impressive. This property is highly recommended for stay at calicut

We are for a leisure and business trip at the same time. The The Gateway Hotel Beach Road, Calicut is quite located in a calm and cool place with a lot of trees and shades inside. We feel so calm and the food was so delicious and too good. The staff well behaviour for all the things indeed. Look forward to come back again to the same spot again thank you team taj.
