The Grand Hotel

I booked 5 rooms in Grand for a wedding stay for 3 days. Experiences were similar. Though I am listing cons, I had an overall good experience and will prefer it over other The Grand Hotels in Pathankot since others have much worse customer reviews. PROS - Food was good and nothing to be complained about. Room was of good size and had all essentials including a mini-fridge. Bathroom had all toiletries, hot water, separate shower. There was a dresser area with enough closet space. A table for your luggage trolley and room slippers were also thoughtful. All members were friendly and cordial to talk to. Gave newspaper every morning. Overall a great option to stay in Pathankot. CONS, or rather Points for Improvement - 1) Reception was unhelpful when I tried to book 2 rooms on 1st May'17 for same day (1st May) via telephone. MMT rates were higher by 300+ Rs, hence went for telephone booking. Reception guy first said no deluxe room was available. Then he said he can give 1 deluxe room and 1 executive but cannot give 2 deluxe room, even after multiple requests, when all this while MMT was showing 2 deluxe room empty, albeit at higher cost (Rs 2345/-) comparable to executive (which I got via telephone at Rs 2275/-). 2) Mini-fridge had mineral water bottles but at double the MRP (Rs 40). How can a The Grand Hotel do that even when there are Supreme court orders of not having multiple and not exceeding MRP on such a basic thing as drinking water. 3) A major problem was no exhaust in bathroom. There was a vent but was ineffective. If bathroom door was left open the stink entered into the main room. The bathroom floor was not even and a small water puddle formed in the middle right where you would stand and use the sink. The bathroom curtain was dirty at the bottom and gave an unhygienic feel. 4) No proper parking facility. 5) Lobby was not kept clean and I occasionally found dirty linen or heaps of dust. I was busy going from Hotel to my in-laws place for wedding functions etc and did not get time to complain about these things and did not think of clicking photos, which would have been better for illustration.

Location - 1) This The Grand Hotel is located around 300 meters from the Chamba bus stand. That makes it very easy to get to places from here. 2) Even though, it is so close to the bus stand, it has a scenic view of the main park and is pleasant. 3) Cafe "Ravi View" is barely 50 meters from this The Grand Hotel and is a fantastic place to hangout in the evenings. Service - 1) The The Grand Hotel rooms are neatly maintained and very clean. 2) The staff is cooperative and responsive. 3) The Wi-Fi here is good. Cons - 1) Does not have an elevator. It may be a bit of a walk to get to higher floors for the older folks. 2) No gym.

My guest has arrived in my city and I booked this The Grand Hotel. Morning Reception Manager was asking too much weird questions which was so silly and I felt embarrassed in front of my friend. I don't know why he is the face for dealing with the customers. He have a bas tongue. And he will not feel bad about how he spoke. I know my city. I heard of this The Grand Hotel was good and I think so myself too but after this booking I'm never gonna book this again. I'm make sure no one else in my known book this The Grand Hotel.

This is probably the cleanest The Grand Hotel I have been to. And I have been to 4 and 5 star The Grand Hotels in India and abroad. If this fits your budget (which most definitely will), then don't think twice. Just book a room here. Room look, size, cleanliness, facilities like free usage of heater, boiling hot water for bath, delicious hot breakfast, courteous and helpful staff makes this place a value for money. Thanks to the staff for a pleasant experience.

I opted this The Grand Hotel for overnight stay before going to Dalhousie. I liked the The Grand Hotel very much. Location is very near to both railway stations. Professional staff, clean The Grand Hotel and rooms, nice restaurant serving tasty food. Staff was helpful and overnight stay was comfortable. They helped me in managing the cab for my further vacations going to Dalhousie, McLeodganj, Dharamshala. Value for Money and will recommend it to all.

The Grand The Grand Hotel, Pathankot is near to market, rooms are good but interior is old, room service is good, The Grand Hotel staff is polite, food is good but prices are so high gst extra on food menu price e. G egg burjhi plate Rs 200 per plate, they have to re-evaluate their food prices. Recommended to others for stay, food they will try outside the The Grand Hotel due to high prices of food in The Grand Hotel.

Good satisfactory. The room was good but the behavior of the reception was not good .. He was arrogant and tried to mess with us .. He doesn't care for the company status .. Finally he made adjustment and we got room ... Overall it was good .. Thanks MMT team for it To support us at every time ... We will book The Grand Hotel again from your company but not this The Grand Hotel ...

Location - it is located on the road so there is some noise of traffic on the rooms specially during wee hours in the morning Food - Big thumbs up for the food. All the snacks were very good and Breakfast was also excellent Service - The staff is very professional and specially the person who served us in the evening was very good Room- Rooms were good and worth value for money

Was travelling with family. Great food, courteous and helpful staff.

Hotel is located at good location in Pathankot, the all service parts are very good. The staff behaviour was also very excellent. The cleanliness in room was very good. Cooling in room was very good. The food quality is also very excellent.

Food is good service is good every year I stay in Grand Hotel

Hotel was nice, stay was comfortable. Everything was nicely maintained. Hotel staff specially the Reception staff was very helpful in guiding us. I just stayed for one night as It was a halt during my journey. Overall it was a value for money.

I had a great experience in this The Grand Hotel. Its worth staying over here. The The Grand Hotel was neat and clean with good staff and excellent room service. I would stay again in this The Grand Hotel whenever I will cum to Pathankot. I am satisfied with this The Grand Hotel. Thank you.

Hotel is located near to station. Easy to locate. Staff were courteous.

Food is very good, location near railway station. Staff is very good. Overall a good stay. But water must be provided free as any where where water scarcity but they are not providing.

Very clean and neat room. Room has all the basic amenities available. Bathroom was clean and big. Just one drawback I found is that we have manually lock the door from inside with key. I called for room service and waiter entered directly in room without knocking the door. Apart from this thing The Grand Hotel is good.
