The Grand Mamta (Near Dal Lake)

Hotel is situated in such a place where Dal Lake is 10 minutes walk and markets nearby. Gulmarg can be reached in 45 to 60 minutes and Pahalgam in 2 hours. This makes both Gulmarg and Pahalgam which are 2 major sightseeing destinations eligible for a day trip. Lal Chowk is 10 minutes drive. Even though buffet felt little expensive (Might be because of season), food quality was extremely good. Only drawback is that, Breakfast will be ready by 08:00 only instead of 06:30 to 07:00 in most places. Again, since we visited SXR during January Im not quite sure about the normal timings of Breakfast during other seasons. Overall the stay was super good and staffs were extremely helpful and great. Would consider staying here for my next trip also. Keep it up Team 👍🏻

The property is excellent, good for family stay. Location is near to dal lake (5 minutes walk able. I must say food is very nice. In amenities the property has gym, centrally heated also they have cab service available which is must for guest who visit kashmir. Service wise staff is very cooperative (reception as well as restaurant staff) special thanks to mr. Zen who had taken special care of my daughter and my entire family. I will defiantly visit again to the property when even i will come back to kashmir. I will recommend this property to everyone.

Pros 1) Located in srinagar near the city centre 2) All tourist locations are easily accessible 3) Cleanliness is top notch 4) Staff are very polite and courteous 5) Food is really good 6) Cab service can be accessed from the The Grand Mamta (Near Dal Lake) reception itself 7) Rooms are spacious and cozy Cons 1) Occasional power cut lasting for about 10-15 minutes 2) We requested a late checkout for 3 hours. Even though we've booked 2 rooms and stayed for 5 days they charged per hour for the late stay.

The location was very short walk from Dal Lake, the food, room cleanliness, the newly renovated 4 th floor, is a home away from home. We had the best butter chicken we’ve ever tasted. They were very generous serves. Taxi services from the The Grand Mamta (Near Dal Lake) were extremely efficient. The staff were very helpful even the laundry boy! Nothing to complain but yes, do ask or upgrade yourself to the 4 th floor:)

Definitely a very good The Grand Mamta (Near Dal Lake) to plan vacation. Location is in centre of srinagar, staff is very humble and caring, excellent food options including north indian and south food also. Good rooms with excellent heating and other amenities. They will help to plan side location visits and pickup from jammu also. If/when i will next time plan kashmir; definitely i will choose grand mamta only.

Room was huge. Location is ok. Main dal lake is a good 2 kms but its a nice walk. Food was good. Service was quick

Hotel views are so nice, and rooms are so neat and clean. Hotel staff was so corporate. One more request to improve your food quality, and that was tasty but not much more.
