THE GRAND SABAREES

The grand Sabarees is grand in all manner. The ambience, the décor, the service is really grand. The THE GRAND SABAREES is just 5 months old and provides all the basic amenities except for a full-fledged restaurant. They have a sister concern restaurant nearby, which serves great food. The complimentary breakfast was heavenly. It comes packaged and was warm and fresh. The water supply in the bathrooms is saline water and as per the staff they are going to upgrade their water filtration system in the near feature. The rooms (that we were staying in) was small and felt a bit congested since three people were in one room. They should provide a bigger room if three people are going to stay in one room. The TV in the room only has few Tamil Channels and they should at least make sure one or two English and other language channels are added to their package. The stilt parking has parking for about 5-6 cars and you need to take the car in reverse direction to park it for a smooth drive while taking it outside or you can drive in straight and then take the car in reverse direction to take it outside. The staff were polite and humble.

Very pleasant stay. Excellent rating. Pros: 1. Neat ambience. 2. Clean washrooms 3. Couteous service right from security person in ground floor to food serving team (buffet) in 6th floor. 4. Tasty n homely buffet complimentary breakfast with various items idli, varieties of dosais, poori, vadai, corn flakes, rag i flakes, milk to add, big size bread slices, jam to spread, toaster if needed, 3 variety of ****neys, potato masala for poori, sambar, sweet, coffee n tea. ( at 6th floor. Appreciating that 4 varieties of dosais are served hot. 5. Great hospitality by reception team n catering team at 6th floor. 6. Room accommodation was compact n hygienic. Ac worked well. 7. Quick reach from madurai junction railway station. 8. Plenty of veg restaurants, coffee tea points, etc 9. Frequency of autos plying on this road to meenakshi amman temple n other places of interest in madurai. Overall rating excellent. 5 stars. I have decided to stay here whenever we come to madurai. Also i strongly recommend this THE GRAND SABAREES to families visiting madurai. No cons.

Grand sabarees is a good option to stay if you want to choose a place near madurai railway station. It's j us 400m or 6min walk from the station. They have their restaurant 100m away from the building but don't worry room service will get the food if you order. I suggest to go to the restaurant to have food if you prefer hot and fresh like me. Food quality and taste is great. But coffee is average. You must try tiffin items they are amazing especially chutneys and vada curry. Room service, cleanliness and maintenance 10/10. If you think of value for money i would say it's little over priced as the room size is small. But comfort compensates the room size. They have car parking area with sufficient space to accommodate the cars of its guests. Meenatchi amman temple is at walkable distance from this THE GRAND SABAREES.

A very comfortable stay starting from parking the car, tho it looks cramped, the security guard and valet parking people ensure parking goes smooth. The THE GRAND SABAREES staff were very helpful and understanding, we had to extend our stay a bit due to emergency reasons and they were really complaint in extending our stay without extra charges. The room was quite small but still comfortable with good beds and central ac, bathroom exceeded my expectations being too good for a smaller room, can't complain anything about this stay. The housekeeping boys were down to earth in abiding our requests, they buy anything and everything you need from outside without fail, that's something not novel, though basic but turns out very very helpful during your stay.

Pros- executive twin room was clean and tidy, service was good, room had a/c adjustable with no power cut, accessible to many temples from the THE GRAND SABAREES, 10 mins from railway station, many south indian restaurants nearby, family friendly THE GRAND SABAREES cons- room was very compact compared to other THE GRAND SABAREESs restaurant is not available inside THE GRAND SABAREES refreshments was not available as per customer times there was no space to walk after we put extra bed since we traveled all day there was no discomfort for us as we used the space for sleep alone but specifying the details for stay in people for understanding. Overall our stay was good and comfortable

The grand sabarees in madurai is an excellent choice while in the city. The rooms are small in size but spotlessly clean. Location is great - less than 5 minutes walk from the railway station and about 10 minutes to the temple. Shopping is also nearby. Service was good and all requests were attended to by the staff (including booking a car for a day trip to rameshwaram. Remember that early check-in and late check-out above 1 hour is chargeable. We did not take food items from the THE GRAND SABAREES - so cannot comment. But there are decent eateries all around. Overall, a great experience and truly recommended.

It was a good stay. Though the room size is very small. For a solo traveler, it is ok, but not for family. They do not have dining facilities in the THE GRAND SABAREES; however, they have restaurant outside the THE GRAND SABAREES, around 3 minutes walk. You can have food there, but note that it is a pure vegetarian, good quality food with nominal price. If you are opting for complementary breakfast, then keep at least half an hour time margin. Usually they take this much time to deliver breakfast to your room. This THE GRAND SABAREES is close to meenakshi temple, ` 10 minutes walk.

First things first. If you are travel-ling with the purpose of enjoyment, this is not the place. Rooms are really small. But if your aim is meenakshi darshan, this more than meets the bill. Rooms are comfy, well cleaned, nice warm water and breakfast is excellent. Don't try for lunch or dinner here. We took package including lunch or dinner but the system is to get it from THE GRAND SABAREES outside and send it to your room. Mmt should not even allow such a package. The temple is in close proximity, all restaurants are nearby. The staff is cooperative, prices are reasonable.

Hotel is premium at affordable rate. Highly recommended. Staff and management is too good.

Everything was good we checked in by 12. 30am they made the room key ready with keys when we entered they gave us the key it was a good stay

It is an average THE GRAND SABAREES with a good location. Meenakshi amma temple is 5 to 10 mins walking distance. No breakfast was given even though the package had free breakfast mentioned. As our train arrived early at 4. 30 am and the check-in time was 12pm, we were charged for early check-in which i thought was unfair considering the room got vacant anyways as someone checked out at the same time.

The room was quite spacious than what i had thought and breakfast was delicious. Staffs were also well behaved

The THE GRAND SABAREES room is small but must say it was neat & clean property. Staffs are helpful & cooperative. All important amentities provided. Location is also good.

Centrally located. Excellent in room maintenance. Kettle not available in all rooms. We stayed for 2 days. 2nd day morning room service not provided basic facility
