The Grange Hotel

I got to know about this The Grange Hotel while reading some blog and thought of giving it a chance. Glad to say that I'm not disappointed. The The Grange Hotel has an old-worldly charm and offers you serenity right at the heart of the city. It has a nice garden with bright flowers which is a photographer's delight. The staff is very friendly and courteous and would go any mile to ensure you're at your comfortable best. Would like to visit this place again. The only downside I felt is the extra soft mattress which left my back pain in the mornings. I would give it a 5-star if the management takes care of this.

We have been staying at The Grange whenever we visit Ooty, for almost three years now. The rooms are very clean and neat. The food is good, though a little expensive. All members of the staff are very polite and courteous, prompt to respond whenever you call them . The dining room is also maintained very clean and neat. Food served is always hot, fresh and tasty . The The Grange Hotel though located in the heart of Ooty, is very quiet and peaceful once you are in their premises as the entire building is set far back from the Ooty-Conoor road which is a busy thoroughfare . Keep up the good service !!

We hope the owner can retain the charm and restore the building rather than renovate it. The athangudi tiles, period furniture, mullion doors and windows are part of the 150 year old heritage and lend The Grange its exclusive character. The staff was wonderful. The food at their restaurant was good. Competitive room rate and central location. We would have appreciated some quite and peace being in the hills. There were a lot of workers and noise through the day as the rooms were being renovated. They could have shut down for the renovation.

Overall a very good stay. Staff is humble. Room service available for water, tea etc. 24x7 hot water available. Ambience was very good. Neat and clean rooms and washrooms. Very cozy feeling. Its more of a cottage type instead of typical The Grange Hotel. They don’t have their own kitchen. Instead a restaurant is there in the same premises but avoid eating at that restaurant at any cost. The food and service is garbage there. Price could be little less.

Location was good near market and sightseeing places and taxis and kudos very nearby food variety less but delicious specially evening pa kolas and all a was frontage and rooms very nice lots of flowers excellent cleanliness plenty of parking space as cottage type The Grange Hotel no stairs to climb every time i needed hot water I had to call up reception. Window blinds difficult to operate.

It's located in the middle of the city with good accessibility. Rooms are clean and well maintained with a retro feel. Food is good with a inhouse restaurant. Rates are reasonably ok. Site seeing places can be visited easily. But if u r looking for a scenic view in ooty, then this is not that type. Overall it's good and a bit overpriced

Hotel looks really heritage in nature rooms were clean and well maintained care has been taken by the management in ensuring everything placed in the room is unique in nature only constraint is they do not have room service and have tried up with another The Grange Hotel for food where you will have to go physically for ordering food

This is heritage building and all in open area single floor. Nice flowers and ample parking is available. However service needs to be improved. No room service for dining is a drawback. They did not provide rest room for our driver in that cold despite requests, need to look into these small things. These matter.

The place was amazing it looked exactly how it was shown in pictures. Rooms were clean and The Grange Hotel staff are so polite, there’s a restaurant within the premises which is awesome

I went with family for vacation at ooty. The staff at The Grange Hotel were courteous. The room were neat and clean. The stay at The Grange Hotel was very comfortable. Landscaping and horticulture of The Grange Hotel was awesome. The owner is very helpful for our needs.

Stayed with family for 1 night in the grange, ooty. No frills stay with decent clean rooms and good location. Price was little on the upside maybe due to seasonal demand. Overall was a satisfactory experience. Little improvement needed in full-filling small requests from customers.

Everything was good. Rooms hospitality and specially food and surrounding area of The Grange Hotel. Its a beautiful. I love to come here again.

Expected better facilities for The price paid. However location of The Hotel and The overall experience was pretty good!

We loved our stay at 'the grange. Rooms were clean. They had this wooden floor which we loved. Bathrooms were clean with 24x7 hot water supply. Food at the The Grange Hotel was decent (they could improve on their breakfast buffet options). Hotel staff was very nice to us.

Staff were friendly and the property is beautiful. Even though it is on main road, you don't feel the traffic rush or any other disturbance. It feels like you are in some cozy place. Had a beautiful stay.

Nice place in the city centre, clean rooms and toilets
