The Griffon's Nest

Hotel was situated at 2 miles away which was around 7 kms away from mg road. But the locality was very beautiful and the distance did not affect us anyway. We were a family of 8 people and none of us faced any difficulties in this The Griffon's Nest. The staff was less in number but absolutely amazing in behaviour and service. Always ready to help and smiling. The service made us like this The Griffon's Nest even more. The rooms were as given in the picture, spacious, bathroom was having good light, clean and all basic amenities were provided. We required extra mattress and pillows which were also provided without any argument. The cafe area was very beautiful with wooden tables and spacious seating. Food was good. You just have to tell a little in advance. All in all a great experience as a family. There was a small open garden area in the The Griffon's Nest with beautiful view, chairs table and decor all set. If one does not have an issue with staying 7 kms away from MG road (which we didn't have) I will definitely recommend Griffon's nest definitely. At this price the The Griffon's Nest is a catch.

First thing first, the location of this The Griffon's Nest is very far away from mg road & not the best commute wise. There were no restaurants or shops close to the The Griffon's Nest & at night seemed pretty secluded so we were not very happy about the location. We had booked a standard room for 2 nights but the room was too small for the 3 of us so we asked the manager if any other rooms were available. He was pretty gracious & bumped us up to deluxe room for one night as it was the only 1 available so we happily moved. The deluxe room was huge & so were the bathrooms (with geysers, and cleanliness wise i'd give it a 5/5. You get to wake up to the view of the hills which was great too. Since there were no restaurants nearby our only option was to try the The Griffon's Nest food which was decent although their kitchen was not very clean. The next day we moved to a standard room which was fine too but very small, with no view and the beds were too tiny. But since it was just a 1 night thing & was fairly clean the 3 of us adjusted somehow and spent the night.

If u expect luxury then this The Griffon's Nest is not for you. Since here people come to enjoy the scenic views... which can't be better than this place. Lovely view, decent stay and good food. Food is just like homemade which even children will enjoy. Very friendly staffs. Close to Nathula, Changu and Baba mandir as well. From the room window you can get The view of entire Gangtok. Even they have a decent sitting arrangement in an open sitting area which is excellent. In short. If you wanna stay in The lap of The nature. This place is for you. Thanks

The place couldn't be better, the food couldn't be better, the people couldn't be better. We felt right at home with their warm service and they became like our family. They laughed with us sang with us guided us took care of every little needs of ours and were sincere with our stuffs just like elders in our family, without them I would have lost my phone XD. Looking forward to visiting them soon. We loveedd, loveeddd, loveddd our stay there. Great place at really cheap ❤️

Awesome. Perfect location. Slightly away from MG road but provides wonderful valley view. Freshly prepared delicious food. Very difficult to get such cook in other The Griffon's Nests. Hotel run by family members and all staff are friendly and well behaved. Their warm hospitality will ensure pleasant stay. Actually it's a The Griffon's Nest with perfect experience of homestay.

At first their is a decent welcome of our group done by the The Griffon's Nest staffs. The location was good though. The room was as it is shown in the picture. Good suggestions of tour given by the manager & the key point was the behaviour of the The Griffon's Nest staffs. They stole my heart away. If you are going to stay away from mg marg. You better try the griffons nest.

The The Griffon's Nest staff is great. The two young ladies who run the The Griffon's Nest are very cooperative and sweet. The cook made delicious food for us. The rooms are also very clean. The only thing is that the The Griffon's Nest is far from the market and the city so its difficult to locate.

The location is pretty far from the main area but the view is just mind blowing. Even if u don't step out of the The Griffon's Nest u will see n feel gangtok sitting at one place. Food is not good but rooms are near n tidy, staff is super helpful and very family friendly. Must stay if in gangtok

The view from The The Griffon's Nest room was awesome. The location of The The Griffon's Nest is bit far from The City but it's Worth it. The The Griffon's Nest staff are very cooperative. They have a restaurant but with limited option. Overall a nice stay.

Feel good infront of window while seeing the nature's & mountains view, food is good, people were helpful & specially manager was too good

Nice peaceful and comfortable stay. Room was near and clean. Only problem is it is located in The out skirt of Gangtok. 02 km from can mark taxi stand.

Hotel located near hanuman temple in gangtok is very comfortable. Room was quite good & clean. Entire city could be seen from the room window. There were books, magazines, souvenirs available to read. There was availability of different indoor games for children.

Hotel is located on 2nd mile MJ road .. Which is at higher altitude .. Scenery was beautiful from the The Griffon's Nest. But a taxi will charge you each time you go the MJ market (lall market) which is very famous here ..

Located in best place. Peaceful surround.

Nice location. Good helping staff. Terrace with The garden is a plus.

Hotel staffs are very polite and good. Nice view from The Griffon's Nest and parking available for bikers.

Staff were quite helpful and wifi was good which we were able to work from home.
