We booked High Garden Hotel in Conoor and had a very disappointing experience there Here are some of the issues with this place : Firstly, this hotel sells by two names - High Garden Hotel and Hotel Vivek This itself is unnerving and shady for a customer The property is decent but the upkeep is bad They have some of the worst hotel towels you can find We reminded them to clean our room but they still didn’t do it. The staff looks confused and under trained in general We asked them for places to visit nearby and they had no idea on what to suggest The restaurant takes the cake for causing the most disappointment during the stay We ordered some dishes for lunch and they were very bad in taste. We later ordered a curd rice hoping that’ll give us some respite I have never tasted such a bad curd rice and was wondering how can someone screw a simple dish like that We had booked stay with complimentary breakfast and tried the buffet breakfast the next morning It was a disaster. They had run out of all items by 9 am and we had to wait for 15 mins to get something. We asked for toasted bread in the meanwhile and they got us untoasted ones. We asked for omelette and they got us tiny torn piece of omelette My daughter asked for coffee and they showed us a half drunk coffee cup (used by someone else) and asked can we fill this up and give The manager at the restaurant was unapologetic for all this and even refusing to see the problems He wore the same shirt for two straight days and I found that creepy and so unhygienic for someone in a service industry like restaurant Obviously, we swore never to visit them again for the rest of our trip and rest of our lives We had paid for complimentary breakfast but ate elsewhere for the rest of our trip Overall, very disappointing!!

Rooms are not clean and it was smelling very badly

First of all, property name is misleading. It is named as hotel vivek but high-garden in mmt. The front office ppl were very lazy & unresponsive. Bonfire & music wasn’t arranged as described. In fact music system never worked. Our check in experience was horrible as we were given least preferred room even these we’re available however after an argument we were given our preferred room. We have got decent support from ajith who helped to get preferred rooms & cancellation of one room. Overall, i would recommend to avoid this hotel as there might be better options in this price.

Room was good. But the restaurent food is pathetic. Buffet breakfast don't have any variety. If you are ordering dinner, gain some patience to get the food and the quality is very poor.

Sunflower suit rooms are good and quite spacious as well. Daisy rooms on the other hand are decent in size but not maintained well and looks old and rusty. There is a bit of damp smell in daisy rooms. View of tea garden is a plus point about this room which you will not get in sunflower suite rooms. Food is average and can be avoided.

The overall room cleanliness and bathroom hygiene could be better. High garden is supposed to be slightly premium compared to their other property - vivek tourist home.

Nice location, good ambience and spacious rooms. Good tea garden view from the terrace of the room. Green park in the centre of the hotel.

Service was very poor. There was no electricity since today morning. I had called multiple times but they didn’t took any action.

Average hotel amenities and ambience. Location is good. Connectivity is good with city and ooty also. Veg is having no option at all. Breakfast is so so.

Bad room experience and food buffet was horrible with no option for vegetarians. First day we ate at the restaurant of hotel and later we started going outside in coonoor

Not good service from the front office staff. I complained about the bathroom issue and it was not resolved. Also not a good experience with the dining. I opted for dinner and breakfast and the food was worst even after paying 6k for a single night. It was not properly warm and not filled the food if it will be consumed by others.

Very bad service. Had to cancel mid way.

We stayed one day ,we have excellent review about hotel.Nice ambiance,a very good garden view from the room,nicely arranged garden,and the food was awesome especially dinner food,breakfast too nice. also we have say about the staff service,very friendly staff

Location is good, close to city. Has nice amenities like a small restaurant, bar, game zone for kids, a big central lawn with bonfire. Rooms are spacious. But not all rooms have nice view, some of the rooms window open to the walls. Lacks in hospitality. Staff seems to have a long face all the time. Very little choices in restaurant. Buffet dinner and breakfast is nice, but repetitive. Looks old kind of property and very silent and creepy.

The hotel staff and food was amazing, loved the ambience and service. Highly recommended.

Hygiene is poor where the vassels and trays are not clean and room service is poor taking longer then usual and sometime not reachable at all

Our car met with accident a day prior to booking and we could reach hotel, we informed hotel if they could manage to shift dates but hotel person rudely refused and also refused to help us with any further help regarding booking. Had a terrible experience.

Good hotel for budget stay near conoor. Rooms are big and clean. Good breakfast and option of bar is there too. Overall ambience is good, family and kids friendly. However lift is not there to reach to 1st/2nd floor which could be a problem for elders. The property location is also 18-20 km far from main ooty location. However, overall good location to stay with your family.
