The LaLiT Resort and Spa Bekal

Right off the bat, here were some glaringly obvious problems - 1. We had ordered for tomato soup for dinner, but the breadcrumbs came when we had finished the soup. It would have been nice to have them a little earlier. 2. The jacuzzi tub had only room temperature water and the motor was excessively loud to the point where we could not hear anything over the sound of it. 3. We were charged for cycling. Which is ridiculous because the property is so beautiful and we pay so much money to stay there. It would have been nice to avail the service for free. 200 rupees per hour was a little steep. 4. I don't know how bar snacks are generally priced but i think 5 times the mrp is appalling. 600 rupees for two come cans? too much! 5. We had asked for a nail cutter and left it in one of the rooms. However, we still got a call back from the The LaLiT Resort and Spa Bekal asking if we had taken it. I think there could have been a more polite way of asking rather than accusing that we had taken it. 6. The far end of the pool was pretty unclean and had bird droppings that seemed as though it had not been cleaned for a long time. Bird droppings are a big source of respiratory and skin infections so it was quite uncomfortable to know how are risk we were while swimming. 7. The property is so beautiful but it seemed as though it was not taken full advantage of. There could have been a high tea on the riverside. Or maybe some snacks given poolside or on the beach for the guests. There also could have been more activities such as campfires, etc. 8. The drawn shades for the room we're flimsy, difficult to move and even fell down in the middle of the night making a loud sound. Better maintenance expected. 9. The blinds in the bathroom were stuck and could not be closed, causing major inconvenience. 10. Lack of ashtrays also caused a huge inconvenience. On the other hand though, here were the plus points - 1. Friendly staff and very forthcoming. We rode back from the beach on the food truck instead of the buggy and mr. Akshay had been more than welcoming to accommodate us. 2. Delicious food with a good variety! although the fish was overcooked, we were won over by the desserts. The tender coconut anglais especially was fantastic. 3. The room service was prompt and cheerful. We never had to think twice about calling for anything we needed. 4. Flexible timings were provided to us so that we could check out slightly later than expected and we really appreciate that. 5. The breakfast breads were fantastic. The strawberry buffin and the banana cake especially were the highlights. Even though the donuts were clearly not fresh, the croissants made up for it. Delicious pineapple jam as well! overall, it was a good experience. But could have been made even better.

Superb housekeeping: the housekeeping team at lalit resort & spa bekal deserves special recognition for their exceptional service. My room was always immaculately clean and well-maintained throughout my stay. The attention to detail and their commitment to ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment were commendable. I would like to give a special mention to alan, sanjiv, and ashutosh for their outstanding efforts in making my stay fabulous. Their professionalism, promptness, and willingness to go the extra mile made a significant difference in enhancing my overall experience. In conclusion, my stay at lalit resort & spa bekal was nothing short of extraordinary. The excellent food, amazing service, lovely resort ambiance, and superb housekeeping truly exceeded my expectations. However, the resort could improve the cleanliness of the river for kayaking and the cost of food in its restaurant. I think the lalit resort and spa, bekal doesn’t need any more testimony ) the amount of feedback and stars it has received is sufficient to show the standard it has - i would say one of the best short vacations / staycations i have ever had - kids loved it too. So here are the things i would like to bring forth. 1) amazing / beautiful property - worth every penny you spend (with everyone doing revenge vacations, the room rates have gone up everywhere but property is worth the money you spend ). Ours was a backwater facing room (superior backwater facing room with jacquizi ). So yes they have backwater, a big pool, and inland water body. The resort is attached to the sea making it like a private beach of sorts - the waves of arabian sea are rough at this part if the country so while we spent time in the sea, kids enjoyed more at the pool and stroll besides the backwater. They provide you with free 15mins complementary kayaking and facilities of boating is available. 2) the staff is just incredible i would say, starting from the one giving you coconut juice as welcome drink to the one handling your buggy and luggage 3) breakfast spread was great 4) evening dinner could have been a little better but considering the property is coming out of the covid impact, i expect that any shortcomings will be taken care if soon (like the cable in our room wasn’t really clear and had very little number if channels ). All in all one if the best properties i have been too - worth a visit and they have out if the world staff to welcome you !

The The LaLiT Resort and Spa Bekal has a view of the beach, backwaters, forest, hills, lagoon and the sea all at the same time. It has a beautiful garden of coconut trees to walk through and the activity of kayaking is really beautiful and peaceful. We had visited for a birthday and they provided a beautiful and delicious cake. Any concerns regarding room were immediately resolved by them. Breakfast menu is very lavish with a separate corner for continental, for south-indian and for north-indian. Staff is very friendly and courteous. The swimming pool is quite large and right in the center and is great to relax in when the sky is cloudy. Roaming around the internal area with the lagoon is nice. Gym, billiards table and carrom were all very well maintained. Each room has a jacuzzi area. The room at ground floor is slightly larger and is "luxury" category and the room on top is of "premium" category. They also have two adjacent room options if visiting as joint family. Overall we are looking forward to visiting this place again.

The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the plush bedding to the thoughtful amenities provided. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional dining experience offered at the resort’s restaurant. We indulged in a variety of delicious dishes, each expertly prepared using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Whether enjoying a leisurely breakfast overlooking the tranquil backwaters or savoring a romantic dinner under the stars, every meal was a culinary delight.

We had a very relaxing stay at lalit for 3 nights. Very nice and big place, beautiful landscaping and lagoons. Very big beautiful place will very less rooms. Swimming pool is average and need some more maintenance. Observed a lot of floor tiles have come out. The resort has an extremely good spa. Due to some issue the back water activities had been stooped so unfortunately we missed these. Also heavy rains during our stay, caused some issues which house keeping was prompt enough to attend to. Restaurant is good but quite expensive which is mostly ok for a resort of this level but the portions were bit lesser making the costs a bit unjustified. Overall we had a very nice relaxing time. Really a very nice place to relax and recharge ourselves.

Good property. We went on a normal weekend, so was less crowded. Service was really good, very quick in-room dining service and quality of food was also great. Just that for operating jacuzzi, you are dependent on the reception folks to turn on the pressure and later to turn off as well when you are done. Not sure if it's the same across all resorts. Also hot water provision in jacuzzi would be helpful, because for someone who wants to enjoy jacuzzi in the evening, hot water would bring that soothing experience. Nevertheless it was a good stay. The resort is beautiful, beach is a short walk and very calm and peaceful. We enjoyed the kayaking as well in the backwaters.

A very good property wedged between the sea and backwaters with full greenery and eco friendly. Rooms are spacious and roomy but dimly lit and the jacuzzi is not working fully . Great swimming pool and restaurant . The front office is more mechanical and not very warm or friendly . it is compensated by the restaurant staff who are more friendly and accomodating . The services are ok , but little lethargic . More indoor and outdoor activities could be included .

Loved the property and the treatment provided was excellent. The only feedback i had was that the property was not sustainable as i would have liked. Moving away from single use plastic would be the icing on the cake

Stay was fabulous. Staff took good care of us. Food was good but was little on expensive side.

Stay and ambience is good. Food is good but expected for kayaking and private beach entry due to high tides the bridge was broken and felt disappointed 😔

the property is well maintained it has lot of greenery and plantation and rooms are spacious and luxurious with added bonus of Own private jacuzzi the Spa was good with lot of option Food was good and was made special by the F&B manager Mr Aushotosh .he was very eager to meet àll you requirements and suggest dish to suit u the front office staff were very courteous on the whole thoroughly enjoyed the trip and would recommend for stay value for money hope to return again thanks and regards aneel

This property want to develop the level of 5 star The LaLiT Resort and Spa Bekals. So much opportunities there but not in use. I am first time but not satisfied. Please upgrade your all system. This is just like a old bunglow.

Neat and safe. This is a 26 acres property and it won’t get bored there honestly. They have a private beach.

Lalit gives one the feeling of arriving at a kerala village with backwaters and the sea next door. The architecture is authentic and elegant; the rooms are well designed and the house keeping is very good. The chef and his team are simply superb and will serve authentic kerala dishes, even those not listed in the menu on request.
