The Leela Beach House - Beach View

The stay here is very good and comfortable particularly the attendent/ caretaker is very mannered, attentive

It is a very remote place and does not worth for money we spent. It actually worth not more than 1500 Rupees . it's just an old mud house modified . I don't understand why they charge this much for such a low grade accommodation. they don't even have to spend for AC since AC is not feasible there. Not at all advisable for family.

I had this place booked for 2 days, but had to checkout and leave in 1 day. For starters, the road to this stay isn't easily accessible via a car. The roads are very thin to reach this place. Apart from that, when we got there looking at the "like 4 star" status and really high price for a stay, i was surprised to know that the room that they're talking about is nothing but bamboo divider for the upper level of the house. Due to this there was no ac, which was very disappointing. Apart from that the bathroom had crickets in the toilet sink, a leaky tap and used soap bars from whoever was staying there prior to us. Overall, its a nice place for a group looking for a villa if you're travel-ling by a bike and can live without an ac in the warm humid climate of pondi otherwise, it doesn't come anywhere close to even the 1 star hotel i booked post checking out of here.
