The Leela Kovalam, A Raviz Hotel

Nice place to stay if you want a beach side resort to stay.. has two restaurants the terrace and the tides.., I ate mostly at the terrace and the food was very good .,enjoyed swimming in the infinity pool with a killer sea view and also a relaxing massage at the spa.., in the evenings if you are a group you could just hang out with your gang and enjoy a couple of drinks at the sky terrace.. if you want to visit Trivandrum, don’t miss the anantapadmanabha swamy temple.., or enjoy the local food., or just get away for some time from the sweltering humid heat by visiting the huge lulu mall.. all just some 10kms or 20mts away by car or taxi.. about the room we got the villas in the second section (both just separated by the kovalam main road) and we got a beach facing one.. you could choose a garden view one as well.., there are other activities like snorkeling or backwaters boat ride in nearby poovar which we didn’t get time to do..,a very friendly staff ..right from the reception to the gentle ladies maintaining the lawn or the watchmen, they really strive to make your stay a pleasant one .. what could be better— the items in the breakfast can be better, the filter coffee could be better., but other meals that I went a la carte with every item was just done great!!

I have stayed here as a family. The reception itself is marvelous. The wallet parli g receiving the guest. Giving tender coconut. Musicjanda melam rituals. Wonderful. The roo. Was in the third ug floor and lift ends at -3. From there we have to walk. Nice atmosphere. Thee-re are three swimming pools. One is under renovation. We have visited those two and used them. There are two restaurants too one is beach side and another is maain area. The lunch dinner and break fast was really awesome. But the food preparation and taste is not upto the mark. We have ordered ala carte as the lunch te was over by 3 pm. The chilly chicken which was ordered is having over salt and taste too average the break fast menu was really nice. The chef ha-as prepared special soup for. My break fast as am a patient who cannkg. Eat solid food. The family tasted all and praised them. The swimming pool staff is very nice. The main swimmi g po is havi f dress changing room. But the swimming pool in the villa areas to get more attention. The change room was not there. The bath rooms temperorily given w was not maintained properly. Baad smell because of non maintenqcne of toilets in the cha going rooms

The property is in a very beautiful location and is well maintained. The beach views from the room and it's proximity to the kovalam beach are the highlight factors. But what was disappointing was we were blatantly denied to use dslr camera. We had travel-led from a city where beaches and beach resorts are in plenty(kochi) just for the beach ambience, to spend time in your lavish resort and to have some wonderful memories clicked in our professional camera. But we weren't given permission to get the team inside. My friends and myself have travel-led to many locations in india and abroad, but this was the first bad experience that we have encountered regarding dslr camera. Even unesco heritage sites in certain parts of the country do not refuse use of professional cameras. So my humble suggestion is to please do the needful to rectify this issue, or the least, to mention in your rules and regulations at the time of booking so that guests are aware of it. Otherwise the staff are courteous, complementary breakfast was amazing and the time spent in this seaside resort was fantastic, except for the bad experience with professional camera.

Previously I was in doubt as I saw many negative reviews of the property, but trust me.. the property I just visited was just heaven on earth. You just can’t find the perfect location like this for leisure and your body relaxation. Villas, rooms, location, amenities, weather, service all things were just perfect 👌👌 additionally I just want to mention some very special names whom made our stay more easy and enjoyable. First of all want to mention the name Naseem.. this young guy, the way he welcomed us was superb.. He made us so comfortable there like home only.. love you Naseem 🤗. As we had included our all meals in package now I want to mention some real gems name from the buffet restaurant. Manju, Vidhya, Mrinali and Megha.. honestly I just don’t know their positions but the way they serve you in restaurant was really remarkable.. you girls are real assets for that restaurant according to me 😊 we also met the chef Siju Krishnan.. very humble and genuine person he is.. we just had a 2 day stay there but now I am feeling like I know these all since long.. on and all The Leela Kovalam is must visit place according to us 👍👌

Located on the picturesque coastline the leela kovalam can be described as one of the best holiday experience in kerala. The resort has exquisite rooms especially the club suite which is spacious, with good amenities and facilities and with a stunning view over looking the sea. They also have a high tea for the club rooms which has a variety of lip smacking snacks to relish on. The club rooms come with a private pool and a cafe exclusively for these rooms hence we had all the privacy with very limited guests around. The rooms are lovingly decked in contemporary and colonial decor, evoking equal parts comfort and sensuality. Two of the staff members that are all worthy of being mentioned for the impeccable service are reshma from the main front desk and akhilesh from the reception at club room section. They made sure that our stay is all happy and perfect and helped in making my wife's birthday memorable.

We stayed in a beach view villa that was spacious, beautifully designed, and gave us the most serene, uninterrupted view of the coastline. The only feedback I'd offer is regarding the distance of the rooms from the restaurant, which is located on a cliff. While the restaurant itself offers incredible views and delicious food, it’s a bit of a trek from the villas. For those who prefer staying close to the dining areas, it might require some planning, especially if you're with kids or elderly guests. Overall, it's a stunning property that offers luxury, relaxation, and excellent service!

It was an exhilarating experience staying at the leela. The property is huge and beautiful. A private beach is attached to the property, and provides easy access to the clear and warm waters of the arabian sea. We had earlier booked a sea view villa, but later moved to a premier sea view room as it was much closer to the dining area and the main pool. The staff was very courteous and friendly, and took special care of us. The buffer had ample options and the chefs were kind enough to prepare food specific to our taste and liking. Another remarkable experience was when our little one got a high fever during the stay, and the staff promptly called for an experienced doctor immediately. The The Leela Kovalam, A Raviz Hotel even got us medicines and other items necessary, and we didn't have to step out for anything. Thanks for providing a truly 5 star service.

The property’s usp is it’s location. The views that it offers are truly breathtaking. The tides restaurant located opposite the beach is must visit. We opted for sea facing villa and there is not much to write about the rooms. The rooms are good, but at that price do not offer any bathtub. It is better to spend most of the time outside the rooms. The location of the villas is slightly precarious as anyone passing by on the nearby roads can easily catch a glimpse. Also, there is a mosque located nearby and they do offer prayers on loud speakers. I would suggest to better opt for the sea facing rooms, rather than go for the villas. Food selection was extensive and well prepared. The prices of the rooms vary a lot.

We visited resort with extended family to celebrate parents 50th wedding anniversary. Complete staff gave special attention and extended all possible support to make it special.

Our stay was really good. We were welcomed with garlands made with shells from the beach and tender coconut water. The view was the main highlight. It was just spectacular. The premises were very neat. We really enjoyed our stay.

We came back to leela kovalam after 10 years to celebrate our 10th marriage anniversary and relive the moments. The stay at leela again exceeded our expectations with the hospitality and care provided by the staff. The best part was the play room for our son with a dedicated staff to look after him which let us enjoy the property even more. We thank liza from the play room for taking care of our son so nicely.

Everything was good but I was not satisfied with food …most of the food was cooked with coconut oil

It was a wonderful experience staying with leela kovalam, location is extremely wonderful. All food varieties are available in their restaurants. We stayed a day but we want to stay 1 or 2 days more because the ambience is superb
