The Monal Hotel

I often depend on reviews, Mussourie, being a tourist destination every site carried the best of what they could offer or at least “projected so” with regards to The Monal Hotels, homestays (both luxury & budget). But when it was time to book my stay I wasn’t able to pick a place. the various aspects of any property & my requirements I finally booked my 3 night stay at “THE MONAL HOTEL” Mussourie… (15th to 18th Nov 2023). Every tangible aspect of The Monal Hotel was perfect, my senses happy at what I saw, breathed, touched, tasted & heard. A budget The Monal Hotel luxuriously maintained for you stay. The location was perfect. Close to Mussourie but away from the hustle & bustle of the town. Just off the road leading to Dehradun, but no vehicular noise could be heard at the property. A divine The Monal Hotel to relax after loafing around in Mussourie or a tiring journey to Mussourie. My stay at the Monal Hotel was amazing thanks to the owner & a wonderful person MR. BHANDARI & his humble & proficient team, each & every member of the team did their very best during my entire stay & I am sure they do so for everyone, they really represent the Uttarakhand hospitality & adding to the tag “Simply Heaven” & “where heaven meets earth” making sure you enjoy your vacation in “DEVBHOOMI” BHANDARI SIR the ever assisting charming personality leading his team outstandingly to honor your presence & requests with a quick response. MR. RAMESH a modest person makes sure the rooms are perfectly spick & span, neat, tidy, fresh & “hygienic”; I was impressed the way the room was maintained throughout my stay of 3 nights. MR. PANWAR he seems to be an angel of hospitality making sure that you are served delicious steaming hot food in the chilly mountain; he is a feather in the cap for The Monal Hotel. CHEF PRADEEP really fast at his work prepares delicious food & is quite generous when it comes to the quality, quantity, taste & freshness. I could imagine his professionalism when I happened to peep in his kitchen – it was clean & hygienic. Last but not the least NAVEEN & MUKESH – calm & shy, I guess they assist in every aspect of the operations at The Monal Hotel. Why, The Monal Hotel? Property environment: The place is maintained, developing, fresh, hygienically nurtured & tidy. The lenin, the towels, the fittings, furniture, flooring & furnishings are tastefully provided, also the food served is delicious. Location: Dehradun approx.. 20 kms, Mussourie approx.. 6 kms, off the road but quite easily accessible you don’t have to carry your luggage as many The Monal Hotels in Mussourie have difficult access & you need to walk a few hundred meters with your luggage. The view from the rooms & the terrace is awesome. Assistance: The team is every ready to assist you & guide you, thanks to them I met a very sober kind personality MR. SONI (A TOURIST CAB OWNER CUM DRIVER CUM GUIDE).

Recently i stayed at this property, and i would say, this is one of the finest place in mussoorie. Points i liked much! 1. The scenic view: this property is located on a edgy rock and all the balconies are placed in such a way evey moment one can enjoy the mountains view especially evening sunsets. My family thoroughly enjoyed this! 2. Staff: very well behaved and matured staff. The property owner also available to take care of customers. 3. The food: this has its own restaurant and what ever we ordered, those were prepared then and there with in 15-20 mins and served hot either to your room or inside restaurant. The taste was so good. (can't expect 5* verities menu items. What ever they have in menu they are pro's in that. 4. The price: i felt its budget friendly. Though i booked, the rent was bit high, but if you can contact directly you can escape hidden loots. Food prices also it's very pocket friendly(veg) 5. Location: this is the only point where one need to make sure you arrange some external transportation to roam around as this is located 10 kms before mussoorie. So plan it well. Hotel staff can arrange rented scooters. But i had my own taxi booked so nothing much impacted me on this point. We had fun at bhatt falls and very near by to this property. Over all. I strongly recommend to stay here and avoid staying chaos of near mall road.

Found through google map, saw the good rating, and then i clicked on the makemytrip link shown there. Found similar ratings of this The Monal Hotel in there, and decided to book it. Sealed the booking at a total price of inr 2300, on friday 15th march 2024. My stay was up to the expectations. Neat and modern room setup, and polite staff. Breakfast, too, was good, and cheap. Rooms have the valley view of the dehradun, and also that of the mussoorie peaks.

As a first timer in massoorie, i read a detailed review from someone else's experience and after personally visiting, i second her. This place is such a blessing, peaceful getaway from city's hustle bustle, gracious staff and superior quality rooms. If i ever visit mussoorie again, i most definitely know where to stay.

The stay was awesome. Room was good and clean food was just like home and the staff was very friendly and always available for any of the requirement. Great hospitality. The location of the The Monal Hotel is in the centre and close to all the tourist places which was very helpful.

Experience of stay in The Monal Hotel was good. It is located comparatively at lower altitude hence the scenic view was not upto the mark and change of weather was missing. Being new property food options were limited, pratha was the only option for breakfast.

We loved the service at the monal and enjoyed the view, stay and food. We walked to bhatt falls ropeway which is very near to the The Monal Hotel. We faced some difficulty in reaching the The Monal Hotel but it was compensated by amazing service. Thank you.
