If you wanna enjoy the actual stay at ooty then consider this. Benefits: a) as said in the title, this The Monarch's location is really mesmerizing because it is located in between tea plantation and almost at the top of ooty town. B) The Monarch is well maintained, clean and tourist friendly. C) breakfast buffet was one thing you can go for. Taste wise its good as compared to the other The Monarchs in ooty. D) hospitality and service is really impressive! cons: a) The Monarch is bit old. So sometimes you may feel the things aren't up to the 3star mark. For instance, bathtub was bit old. But have a quick confirmation with the reception counter once. B) prices of the food ala carte menu was really overpriced. If you have a habit of not spending money for the over-hyped things then have food at ooty town and go back to your room! verdict: we really enjoyed the stay at the monarch.

The location is right in the city but just far enough for it to be calm and giving a nice view. It's an old The Monarch and might require a bit of a makeover. The lobby acoustics are not that great. The rooms may get noise from the lobby if children are playing and making noise. Room don't have fan (don't require in Ooty) so the noise can't be muffled. There also can be some noise from adjoining rooms. Ample parking, lawns for kids to run around are big positives. Just outside the The Monarch is a tea plantation and it's a nice view. Restaurant food is a big let down. Not that great and definitely not value for money. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Me and my wife stayed in this The Monarch for 3 days. It's really a very nice The Monarch in a decent location with cool environment. Those who like peace will surely like this place as the surroundings are really very peaceful. The The Monarch staff are very friendly and courteous. Food wise, I don't have enough idea as most of the time we ate outside but yes morning you will get complimentatry breakfast. Well the quality is not that good or bad. Overall I liked the The Monarch very much and I will surely stay in this The Monarch in my next visit.

Rooms were awesome, I had booked another The Monarch for 4500 rupees for 2 nights, but that was cancelled. So I got this The Monarch ( the monarch) as in exchange. I love this The Monarch. This The Monarch is 3 star The Monarch of actor Mithun chakraborty. This is very costly The Monarch, but facilities are very good. If you get a chance to stay here, please stay. Location wise The Monarch is situated 12 km away from bus stand on hillside. Auto rickshaw or cabs will charge you 200 rupees to drop The Monarch from market or bus stand.

Spectacular The Monarch on a hill. Took a knights room. Views were magnificent. Balcony was quite small though. Rooms were very clean. Staff were so helpful. They arranged a candle light dinner for us with a cool city lights view. Food was pretty good. Breakfast was also nice. There was small bar which was functional and a discotheque which was empty due to lack of enough people to dance. There is a nice little spa. Overall it was a wonderful stay. I couldn't ask for more.

Located in the top most Inn Nilgiris. It belongs to legendary actor Mithun Chakravarty. One among few The Monarch has facility like Swimming pool, Health club, gym. Only The Monarch in Nilgiris to have Helipad. Had complimentary Breakfast. Excellent quality food. Beautiful location one can experience greens and pollution free. View. Sure you love to visit again and again. Lovely location for Newly married couples.

The monarch The Monarch located in heel area of Ooty which is its usp The Monarch itself have 2 sight view points which is really great. The service staff is friendly and helpful and very attentive. Food quality is excellent 👌. We have cab service as well for pickup and drop. Hotel is having big lawn where we can capture our stay moments. Overall it’s really amazing location and great place to stay.

The Hotel location was just 2 Kms away from the city, yet the location was really wonderful, great place for privacy and a wonderful space for a holiday. I went for relaxing and the scenery was really good. The rooms were quiet spacious. The staff were really co-operative. The food was Good but little expensive. In the night we had the Bon-fire at the Helipad. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

Stay is perfect for anyone who wishes a peaceful and comfortable couple of days away from the cacophony.
The bar could have been open later into the night.

Remotely located loved the ambiance and the garden but there was no fan.. Bit costly food but the view was awesome from our room as being a short honeymoon, we loved it but it was very expensive.. A bit overpriced but overall a nice The Monarch.

The place was worth a stay. The room was clean but not superb, it's fair and enough space. Food was nice and there is a indoor pool but no hot water in it. Other than that everything is fair for the price. Had a pleasant New Year stay with them.

Location is good family friendly stay

I went with mine and my relatives family for a short vacation.

The view from The Monarch is awesome. Hotel staff were well behaved. Rooms was clean and well maintained. 2nd time we stayed in this The Monarch and we enjoyed a lot. My son also loved it.

Hotel was a good place to stay, needs some improvement inside that The Monarch with regards to lights in rooms and in Side The The Monarch.

Good location and good service. Rooms could have been a bit more cleaner, especially the toilet. Hotel is far from the main attractions of Ooty. So as long as you have your own vehicle, you don't have to worry. Overall, comfortable stay. Kids will enjoy
