The Oaktree House

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Oakhouse property. The location is excellent, just a short walk from Lakkar Bazaar. One of the major advantages is the available parking space—a big plus given the usual parking challenges in Shimla. The food was good, although the breakfast menu could use a bit more variety. Service was prompt and the staff were extremely courteous and helpful throughout our stay.

There were no proper heating arrangements in the room, all the furniture and fixtures looked old and shabby, our stay at this property was not comfortable at all.. Breakfast was fine, view was nice as well

One of the best stays in shimla view was amazing from my window and staff was very helpful every-time he served he asked us to make sure everything was really good and tasty.

Amazing experience. Location is very good if you have your own vehicle. Rooms and services were also really perfect. Breakfast options were average and could be improved (please take this seriously. No complains, would recommend staying here. Thanks for a nice experience.

I went there in january end, the rooms were clean and staff was nice. You can expect a 3 str kind of hotel experience. The location is peaceful although you will have to walk around 2 km to reach mall road.

Property needs a lot of maintenance. The suite room was not in a good condition. Not sure about the other rooms. Service was ok. Property was a bit far away from the mall road. You would need a taxi to reach mall road.

The hotel looks much better than the pictures. The room doesn’t look any less than a 5 star hotel. The hosts were very helpful and helped us a lot for our cab bookings for Kufri and Railway station. The breakfast menu and taste can be a little better.

In november 2022, my family and i were here. The balcony was modest but had a great view, and the rooms were clean. The food was of good quality and quantity. Three kilometres distance it from mall road, however it is outside of shimla. You will thus be in a peaceful and tranquil setting quickly. The staff is skilled and offers excellent service. Children loved staying at this resort as well. They provided complimentary car cleaning services. There is nothing to complain about the property or their services. I heartily urge everyone to stay here.

The property is well maintained and located away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff are very courteous and friendly. The food is good and healthy. The only disadvantage is commuting for visitors not travel-ling via their own vehicle because it’s located 1. 5 kms from mall road.

A great place to book in shimla. Rooms are spacious and the view is spectacular.

Amazing view from the balcony. Good room. Decent staff. Food has limited choices but tastes perfect and we loved every single dish, including thali, soups, etc. Close enough to mall road so if you want to stay in shimla, not mashobra or kufri etc, this is a good place. Staff wakes up late so early morning stuff like turning on the geyser, getting breakfast can take time (after 8 am) so that could affect you if you are early morning person.

Great rooms, very good hospitability. All the staff were very polite, good and tasty food. Views from the room are very nice. Will definitely recommend
