The Rajbari Bawali

Nice location although the approach road is very narrow. The bengali cuisine was excellent, but north indian and chinese average. It's a beautiful heritage resort, great ambience, but there was no wifi working in the rooms- only in reception and dining areas. Staff was very polite and tried to be helpful, but there were several communication lapses that caused inconvenience. Some facilities were available only on the weekend but the impression given was that they were available daily, so we expected the same on monday-tuesday, only to be surprised and disappointed. Staff were also unable to clearly communicate meal plans involving thhalis and a la carte. Also, little things like the tea kettle in the room not working properly.

Food: food is amazing! we had a lot of food served on the zamindari and fish platter. Its a must try. Room: our room was beautiful but we paid a lot for it and it should've had a bar counter/mini fridge. They should also provide slippers for the guests but they don't. Ambience: we visited during diwali holiday and they had arranged crackers for us like fuljhuri, tubri and sky latterns which were a nice gesture and i was ok with it because they didn't make any noise. But later on there were few guests who were bursting extremely noisy crackers like chocolate bombs etc. This should not be allowed as there are aged guests also in the property who may have health issues for this.

I had the pleasure of staying a night at the stewart suite of Rajbari Bawali. It was truly a wonderful experience - a perfect blend of old world charm and luxury. The warmth and professionalism of the staff, from the welcome greeting to breakfast next day, made the whole stay smooth and efficient. Special thanks to Shubhojit and Nibedita who took good care of us. Must try - lunch thali (we tried both chicken and fish thali). I highly recommend this stay for a memorable experience.

Nice stay, awesome food, a wonderful cultural atmosphere, friendly staff, neat and clean environment, fishing, sundowner, village tour. Everything just to show the culture of an era 300 years ago. Building is also good maintained. Rooftop cafe and many restaurants. A little costly but value for money. I loved my stay.

The stay was excellent. Our butler Mr Manish was very cooperative and cordial. The food was amazing. It was fresh and well cooked. The ambience is unbeatable. A very refreshing stay. Worth every penny. A must visit for Kolkata.

it was a pleasant stay, ambience and bengali food was amazing. we went for our anniversary celebration and had a candle light dinner arranged which was very well organized by Mr. Manish, overall a very nice experience

This heritage property is worth staying with nice seren and peaceful environment. Hospitality and the services were excellent. We are fully satisfied with our stay at bawali rajbaree.

Awesome zamindar style experience,the huge 5acre mansion was beautifully restorated,each and every part of the mansion was aesthetically appealing.
