My stay at The Red house Homestay in Ooty was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that truly made me feel at home. Alok, the host, is an incredibly kind and genuine person who went above and beyond to ensure stay was memorable. His guidance on treks and local attractions added a special touch to my experience. The homestay itself is a hidden gem, surpassing any expectations I had from the picture. The breathtaking views and serene atmosphere made it the perfect getaway. It truly felt like a home away from home, thanks to the cozy ambiance and attentive staff. Speaking of the staff, Amit, Ashish, and Amma were absolute gems! Their kindness and helpfulness added to the charm . Not only did they take care of every need, but they also treated to some of the most delicious and authentic homemade Breakfast . The food alone is reason enough to visit Red house Homestay! Overall, my experience at Red house Homestay exceeded all expectations. We are two family stay in red villa and we booked three rooms. Food and hospitality is excellent. Staff nature is cooperative. Only vegetarian food is allowed in premises is good for vegetarian family. For food staff is asking our choices and prepared foods according. Taste wise food is very nice even we get hot fulka roti in running with food. Even my mother who is65 year old and child 10 year old is also like food very much. Rooms are not spacious. Rooms don't have television only drawing room have television so we enjoy family time. Only thing is lower side family room have lock issues and appearance of room is ok. Some time hot water is not coming in room due to over accessed in other rooms so we should wait for 1/2 hour for hot water. Overall stay is good.

Villa is located in very peaceful midst of ooty outside of main city. Majority of tourist spots are very close to this villa. You can even walk there. Care takers are extremely friendly. You can sit and just chit chat with them all day and you won't get bored. Services are awesone - you just ask for tea or coffee or cleaning or cab or anything - it is always available. Overall nice and pleasant stay. 5/5. One thing to note : do not eat breakfast in the villa. Vary expensive. Better to do zomato and eat local cuisines. Ooty food is cheap and super tasty

What a place! serene villa in fern hill, near to fern hill palace. Vintage look with artistic painting, you will be transported to a royal era. Little far from main city, but when zomato, swiggy delivers food hence this distance doesn't matter. You can come here to enjoy peaceful stay amid-st picturesque fern hill forest. Caretakers are really good & helpful. You will die for their breakfast, sambar is specially awesome. Night bonfire will surely light a fire in your heart. Thanks team for making our stay memorable.

The property is located in fern hill. The property is almost 100 years old and has many antique pieces and furnitures which enhances the overall view of the property. The family room in particular was great and we loved the hospitality and the behaviour of the staff was polite. Given the location of the property, it was secluded, not very far from ooty lake and also accessible to other tourist places like doddabetta peak. Overall, the stay was really good and would encourage others to book this property.

Now if you are looking for a place a little away from all the traffic and noise in Ooty then this is the place. Mr. Amit is one of the best host that I have come across and we enjoyed our stay completely. Any demands that we had was addressed very well by him. The deluxe rooms are amazing and the whole vibe of the place is amazing. The only thing I would want to be added in the cottage is a heater as it gets pretty cold. Apart from that I would say if you are in Ooty this us the place to stay.

The stay was like most homestay but what distinguished this property was it's elegant ancient architecture that comprised most of the place. The location was a very convenient one and most of the amenities were relatively easy to come by. The host and his peers at the property were co-operative and helpful. The food was relishing and had homemade vibes with every bite. Safety and hygiene were at terms with the consumer as everything was well kept and done neatly. 10/10 will recommend.

Excellent service by Amit and george. It was busy day in port we couldn't stop our car for a second for food, swiggy, Zomato and all possible services were down because of traffic in town. With short notice late in The night Amit had helped out preparing food for us. Hotel good location, owners tried to retain the heritage look of The property. However it need some touch ups wash need to be updated and addition of TV to room would be good. Overall service and property was best.

The host was very responsive, and the amenities and procedures were as expected. It was a perfect trip

It was really nice staying in Red House. It is a bit far from The City that's really The one best thing I liked. The manger is very responsive and helpful. I would recommend this place for someone who needs peace.

My friends and i stayed at the red house and were welcomed warmly by amit. He took care of all our needs and was always ready to assist with a warm smile. The interiors of the house are opulent to say the least. Highly recommend!

Ashish n Amit took really good care of us and will definitely repeat when i visit Ooty next.

Beautiful small property with vintage type rooms overlooking the railway track and tall pine trees. The place was very cold around 12'C during august 19 when we went as a family with kids. Hotel staff was friendly, special mention to Mr. Amit who was friendly and took care of all our needs. Overall, a nice peaceful and relaxing place away from daily routine crowds. Don't expect any other amenities like spa, gym, etc.

Calm clean comfort and supportive host

It was really a nice staycation over red house ooty. The host was good. He had arranged a camp fire at night. Food was veg but we dint know about that. All together it was fun
