The Residency Hotel

The room was good, neat and tidy. The staff were courteous and helpful. The location of the The Residency Hotel is very good. It is in the heart of the city. Very convenient for shopping as it is 2 minutes walk from Gariahat. But the food was very limited. The breakfast spread had very little option as you have to choose from 3- 4 options. There is no buffet breakfast. The list is provided which you need to order a night before. There is no proper arrangement for lunch or dinner. The bathrooms were neat but there was clogging of water. The drainage system was not good. The size of the double bed was little small.

Neat and clean. Bed linens are all white and absolutely clean and spotless. The best is The food quality. The only place where I got exact home made food as requested by me. All The staffs are polite and very prompt about their service. Also, due to high humidity outside I got exhausted and requested The reception to get me one electoral Salt packet. I got it in next two minutes and while making payment, they mentioned it is complementary. I was really impressed. I will prefer to stay in this Hotel during all my future trips to Kolkata.

I have stayed from 13th to 17th Sep 2019 in a deluxe room. My opinion is as under. Hotel type- Guesthouse. Location- Excellent. Very close to Gariahat market. Cleanliness- Very good. Room size- Good and clean. Bathroom- Clean with all basic amenities. Tea maker- Available. Breakfast- Very limited. Restaurant/kitchen- Not available. Outside food only. Staff behavior- Nice and polite. Lift- Available. Price- Worthy. This is my excellent stay.

Overall it was okay.. But the The Residency Hotel is not as well maintained as it appears in the pictures. The pictures given in the site are deceptive. The price should be a little low according to the quality of the The Residency Hotel. The only plus point is the location. The man at the reception at first refused to give password for WiFi saying that this facility is not included, whereas while booking WiFi sign was showing.

This was my third stay in a very short while. I simply cannot stop to getting mesmerized every time I stay here and soak in every bit of it. You people are the best starting from cleanliness, services, behaviour of each and every staff including security. You are thorough professionals and have it all to set benchmarks. Outright champions!! Would love to see you emerge as one of the best in Kolkata among your peers.

Best part of this The Residency Hotel is location. Staff are very good and courteous. There are many option around if you want to try authentic Bengali food. Room was also good, but my room was not in the main building. Overall stay was very good. Only problem I can see, this room was in a different building which is actually an apartment. And main door was always open. No not sure about security.

The The Residency Hotel is good and there are lots of restaurants and food stalls nearby. If you are interested in street shopping, you can also find it. There is scope to include more options for breakfast. The The Residency Hotel can provide a central switch for all electric switches of the room. It is tiring to search & turn off all the switches every time before going out & while coming in.

We had a very comfortable and pleasant 3 night stay. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a deluxe room. The room was very clean. Linen and towels were changed every day. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The free breakfast was sumptuous with ample variety. Overall very satisfied and would definitely stay here again.

Good location. Rooms are clean services are good. The person at reception is quite supportive except WiFi issue and the standard room offered was separate from main bulidding, everything fine. Over all OK.

The The Residency Hotel staff is very good, they need to update the food facility the food will be bought outside, they are courteous with tenents. I do not find any other issues other than the food. If you arive late in the night you cannot get a food you need to buy from outside.
