THE RETREAT

The THE RETREAT is located just beside raj Bhawan. 5-minute walking distance from mall road. All the rooms of the property are Kanchenjunga view rooms. They offer excellent views of both the valley and the mountains. But the rooms are not well maintained. The furniture are a bit shabby with dampness on the walls. The rooms are not worth the price that you pay. Rooms need good amount of maintenance. But overall a good place for to stay. The behaviour of the manager mr arijit is very pleasing. He is a very generous and humble person.

Location is very good. One can go upto raj bhawan with car. From raj bhawan it is only 2-3 minutes walk. It is almost same level with darjeeling mall. So one can go to famous mall of darjeeling without any tiresome climbing food quality is good with different varieties service is also good i must say responsiveness of the staff and particularly avijit chatterjee, manager of the THE RETREAT.
While entering hand sanitation was there. Also luggage sanitation has been done properly. Temperature checking also done

The view from the THE RETREAT is the best in all of Darjeeling. I have stayed in at least 15 other locations in Darjeeling and I have never ever seen the range so clearly. The staff were extremely courteous and friendly. The rooms were clean and tidy. The complimentary breakfast had a variety of choices. No extra charge for room service. The manager Arijit and the local sales person Sujay were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and easy.

Stay was good and comfortable, all the staff was friendly and cooperative, specially manager Arijit was extremely humble and helpful and provide us all the amenities and guide as well and even arrange all the car facilities very well. Without any trouble we were at ease as he arranged all things so well. Whatever was displayed in profile while booking even got far better from that. Extremely satisfied and would recommend others to stay and experience the homely stay.

I have stayed at the retreat with my family and loved the experience. The view from the THE RETREAT is fantastic. We could enjoy the view of kachendzonga from our room window almost every day of our stay. The breakfast and food is very good. Special thanks to mr. Arijit for his continued support and help. All the staff are well mannered and helpful. The mall is just 10 mins walk from the THE RETREAT. Had a very enjoyable stay at the retreat.

Near rajbhawan, car will come upto rajbhawan then you need to call THE RETREAT for luggage transfer. From their it's hardly 2 minutes. If you are taking room with view you can be able to see kanchenjunga from your room, if day is not cloudy. Food excellent, ambiance excellent, mall road distance is hardly 10 min and go to mall road with the back road it's beautiful. Again want to visit this place.

Our stay was really nice, the staff were polite and courteous. Services and food were of utmost quality. Would highly recommend the THE RETREAT. One thing that needs to be token care of is, housekeeping incase guests are staying for multiple days, and a provision for a locker. Even without these the THE RETREAT is great, given the location and the view from the room. Would love to visit again

We stayed in a royal deluxe room with clear kanchanjangha view. Excellent spacious room with big window. Roughly 600m from mall and 100m from raj bhavan. Food at THE RETREAT's own restaurant is fantastic. We had breakfast and dinner on several days, and food was delicious. Hotel staff are courteous. Though not a budget THE RETREAT, it's an excellent place to enjoy darjeeling.

Beautiful stay, Kanchenjunga can be seen from the room, well behaved staff and prompt service, only variety of breakfast should be more.

Otherwise average stay, one room had water problem, no hot water in one room, room heaters had to be hired with extra charge, even then they were not working on first night, buffet breakfast very ordinary Only good thing is The location and view, mind that all rooms were not having view as they advertise Overall ordinary THE RETREAT with expensive rates

Excellent location, awesome hospitality, personalized services. We were a group of 5 person with two aged 75 plus lady's with us. Very near to mall and all other attractions.
