The Day I was searching some resort in Bandhavgarh, after Reading the reviews of the People who visited this property, I just booked it without looking in fact the other Resorts. If you really want to feel like staying in Jungle, just go and feel the Wilderness. It's located in the Khitauli Range right in the middle of the Forest, They have maintained everything right from rooms, dining table, furniture, bathrooms which will give you feel every moment that you are in the wild. No TV, No Mobile networks, no 3G 4G WiFi and all, forget the world and just enjoy your Stay there. I am a wildlife lover, and visited almost 80 Percent of the National parks in India and stayed in most of the Jungle Lodges and forest resorts, but trust me This is Something Class Apart. I must say, no second thought if you are planning to visit Bandhavgarh, Salvan County is the only place to stay if you want to experience wild 24/7. The Most Dominant Tiger of Bandhavgarh- "Bheem" roams around the resort as its his Area and you hear his growling most frequently. We were lucky to hear his roar after continuous Deer Calls. Superb Hospitality, Excellent food... Very Happy to say their service and hospitality can seriously beat Taj and Oberoi. So Happily they welcome you, anything required.. Prompt response. Some People to Mention are Lakhan (Manager), Sajjan (Cook) and Govind (Helper) are just amazing, I got very emotional while saying Bye to them as they became so close to us. Mr Varun Sharma ( Owner) called me a week back and guided me so well through Mails and messages that really helped me in planning Safaris and in which Zone to go for... They arrange the Safari's for any Zone you want and also arrange the Pick up from the Resort. My next visit to Bandhavgarh will surely be For staying in Salvan County and not for Tigers. They arrange the Local Folk Dances in the evening but we missed it as we were only guests for these 2 days at the resort and they arrange if you are in a group, anyways there is always a next time. A Big Thank you to the Salvan County Team and request to maintain the wilderness Don't bring WiFi, TV, Networks so that people will continue to stay in the serenity of Wilderness.

Roaring Salvan has an excellent location. It is surrounded by farms and forest. The place is absolutely quiet and is "disconnected" from the network. There are no TVs in the room. That makes this a great The Roaring Salvan County to experience . It is a bit far from Tala gate, so you need to leave from the The Roaring Salvan County well in advance. Hotel should remind first time safari visitors that it is pretty cold in the morning till 7:30 am and it would do good to carry warm wear. Offering some packed breakfast like would be nice . The food is not bad. After eating heavy north indian fare throughout the tour, it was good to eat food that felt more "home-like". Phulka-chappatis served with simple okra and dum-aloo were great. But one problem with food was that, since dinner is served after sunset and being in the forest area, there were a fair number of little insects/ bugs that kept bothering us. It would be nice if the The Roaring Salvan County can provide some solution such as using incense sticks or some sort of repellent at the dining table . The swimming pool is not well kept; being in a forest with thick tree cover, pool water was not clean, with lots of leaves . Some things in the The Roaring Salvan County need urgent attention: (1) the switches are of the legacy black toggle type. While they enhance the look of the room, hardly any switch was working well. The switches need to be fixed. (2) due to use of doors (main and bathroom) of traditional style, there is leakage of the air conditioning air, making the AC ineffective . I also have to say that the The Roaring Salvan County owner is a great host, and gave me lots of useful tips, especially about safari. While the The Roaring Salvan County gets a very high score for experience, it gets a slightly low score for facilities.

Could not be happier with this place. We had a balance of adventure and seclusion at this brilliant resort. Varun was excellent at communicating and was pivotal in planning out not only our Bandhavgarh stay but our entire route from Indore company Jabalpur to Bandhavgarh and Khajuraho. The staff at the resort needs special mention especially varuns recommended driver. We had the good fortune of sighting a tigress for a good couple of minutes all thanks to him. The food is very homely and they take your requests into consideration, which is very appreciated. One of the best moments of our lunch time at the resort was when we requested for some lemons and they straight away plucked some right from the orchard in front of us. If you're expecting commercial luxury, then this place is not for you. This place is for people who truly appreciate nature, enjoy and respect the company of local people (we had a fantastic conversation with the manager of the resort who recounted multiple episodes of tiger human conflicts in the surrounding areas), and pleasure simple but rich in taste, home food along with peace and tranquility. They even lit up a bonfire in our backyard for the night, which just added to the wholesomeness of the place. Loved our stay! Will be back soon.

From the moment that I inquired on availability at The Roaring Salvan County to the day that we left the lodge all our problems disappeared. Varun was the person who answered that first phone call and from then on he went out of his way to help us with all our needs: travel arrangements, negotiating on our behalf, confirming future lodging reservations, and recommending onward destinations. He answered all our questions and took care of the extra leg work when it was needed. The staff's knowledge of, and love for, the wild environment that they live in is evident and they are the perfect hosts to humbly introduce their guests to the amazing animals of Bandhavgarh. We went for the tigers, but The Roaring Salvan County is a destination in itself. It was hard to tear ourselves away from this paradise. Our cabin had an optional private outdoor shower, natural stone finishes, beautiful dark wood furniture, and a very comfortable bed. The plentiful food included in the room price was delicious Indian cuisine. The grounds are natural with many sitting areas to relax or explore while enjoying the sound of the Bandhavgarh forest. The nights were dark and peaceful, the air was clear, and the stars were amazing.

Resorts location excellent, hospitality excellent , rooms are spacious specially bathrooms, food is tasty but limited all though can't expect city like food in jungle, , staff is very helpful specially mr lakhan . New safari- book safari in advance if you don't then don't plan trip if you try to book safari , we have tried to book online seats were full got no of AGENT they charged double for safari so we tried to book seats by ourselves booking window opens at7 pm and at 7.05 pm officer said all the seats are full, so we opted for buffer zone, next morning at pick up point you saw person carrying permit on which payment time 9 pm was mentioned I asked how he booked he said through AGENT, SAFARI- safari in buffer zone is a joke you'll see more animals on roads then in buffer zone. End of the day resort is great, but govt agency's and LOCAL agent's are looting. Don't expect any help from The Roaring Salvan County for safari they I'll give you only agents no. RESORT- maximum guest stayed at resort are the one's stayed earlier, resort has its own group of loyal customer including me.

What a great place to stay, I would say for this place. To start with the resort location, unlike others resorts where you feel you are just staying in a motel or a highway resort, this one is right inside the jungle where you can constantly hear animals and the place gives you a perfect forest feel. The staff and the manager Lakhan take care of you very well. They also help you in booking gypsy for safaris. Services were excellent and the staff was hard working. The resort food was delicious, hygienic and fresh. Even kids and infants enjoy the meal as it was non oily and not very spicy. Lastly I would thank Varun (owner of the resort) who being the resort owner really helped us out in all aspects of our trip like safari bookings, transportation, permit bookings and about Bandhavgarh reserve with his very helpful suggestions. He is really helpful and patient in listening to even the minutest detail a traveler would ask. Thanks a lot again Varun and team for this amazing experience making it a perfect stay and we are looking forward to visit again soon.

A homely atmosphere, the stay was very relaxing. Friendly approach from the owner and their personalised care and service contributed to a relaxing stay. The staff is also very good and ready to take care of individual needs very promptly and with a permanent smile on their faces. Food is also good home style. However a few improvements would add to the quality - more cleanliness in the rooms and bathrooms, better toiletries and whiter and cleaner towels, napkins and bed sheets. While the unfinished rough stones(in the room & bathroom) and the marble potatoes in the bathroom make for an interesting design concept, they need to be scrubbed and cleaned properly. The marble potatoes need to be removed and the bottom scrub cleaned everyday as there is a lot of residue formation contributing to an unhygienic bottom floor. Location is excellent with animal calls being heard at night. Overall a good place if you are only looking at basics and homely environment.

The Roaring Salvan was an oasis which provided much needed rest and reconnection with nature. Nestled in the forest, close to Parasi and Tala it is the perfect place to base yourself for Safari's in Bandhavgarh. Varun the owner was extremely helpful in sorting out our Safari permits (as we are from Australia and unable to pay for them from overseas) and he organised all our transfers from Katni and to Jabalpur, which was a huge relief after a huge delayed exhausting train journey. His staff was so helpful and tried their best to interact with us with their limited English. We thoroughly enjoyed all the meals provided and were never left hungry, the amazing pressure of the shower and hot water of both indoor and outdoor showers, was fantastic after a big day. We were also treated to a Tribal Dance evening by local villagers, which was fantastic, complete with a snack and drink from the Roaring Salvan. Overall a fantastic experience that we wont forget.

Location is very well and thrilling. Hotel is well-maintained. Staff are very helpful and very gentle in behaviour. Food quality is good. Hotel is neat and clean. Value for money. We have booked 2 rooms and stayed 4 nights in the The Roaring Salvan County. Hotel is situated near Khitoli buffer zone dense forest. Very nice and thrilling stay. Enjoyed the stay very much. At first and last night we heard a clear roaring of tiger from the The Roaring Salvan County. Staff behaviour are mind blowing. Travel desk are available. We have booked all safaris from the The Roaring Salvan County. Nice stay.

Decent room. Awesome washroom. Washrooms were bigger then rooms hahahaha. Superb and friendly staff. Excellent food on demand. Value for money. Loved the stay. Awesome ambience. I highly recommended everyone to stay there.

I have been to almost all the best The Roaring Salvan Countys in Bandhavgarh but what sets apart roaring salvan is mr varun sharma the owner he is a true wildlife enthu he welcomed us with a nice brief about the surroundings and was very humble he organised two activities during our short stay one jungle trail(where he take all the guest inside the jungle a long walk of around 5 and a folk dance the The Roaring Salvan County is 10 - 12 km away from tala. Rooms were nice food was tasty but very limited choice of menu very basic. Pool needs to be cleaned was dirty.

It was one of the best resort in Bandhavgarh with budget price if you book online. Especially the manager Mr Lakhan is very cooperative which made our trip successful, even the staff and the service are also very good. Will surely visit the place again.

The room is much more than fabulous, the service is a delight & the people are more helpful than what you would ask for! The food is delicious, absolutely worth coming back every time ... The bathroom in the cottage was bigger than the room& a beauty with an indoor& outdoor Bath

A great trip in my life, Bandhavgarh trip with friends life Must visit place thanks to Varun Sharma owner of Roaring Salvan County for wonderful hospitality. I think this time is best season to go this place, Weather is awesome And resort food is so tasty, Staff are cooperative and I hope my next visit is so soon.

Nice place to chill out, good food but costly.

Location was inside the jungle, very isolated. Room glass window and bathroom backside part are not good, as feel insecure. Food good but very oily.

Neat cottage and the natural ambience untapped. Such a beauty in the jungle. Excellent staff and service along with yummy homely food. Varun Sharma, owner, very friendly and shared lot of wildlife informations. The highlight is you get a complete family time as there is limited Mobile connectivity and no tv in your cottage. Trust me a real quality family time you get because of that. Highly recommend this place.

The location of the resort and the concept is close to nature. The way the facility is maintained and managed is admirable. Good simple food, clean cottages with clean and massive bathrooms, place for bonfire outside every cottage, swimming pool and volley ball area, no network and no tv in rooms are some of the highlights
