Room smelled musty, food average but staff friendly. Rooms at end of corridor next to dirty stair cass

All services are good. One point kindly to be noted. In your app only shows one or two categories of room available .I had booked premium double room with breakfast. But the rooms are very small and I had to upgrade to a slightly bigger room on payment of Rs.1000.00 daily as extra. It's a very embracing situation I had to faced in the front desk. Kindly give all information about all categories of rooms so that as per choices can booked it. Otherwise all the staffs are polite and helpful and nothing to comment on their services.

My wife and self had a very comfortable stay in the hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is ideally located by the road side with easy access to markets and other restaurants nearby. The amenities provide were Goid enough. The staff was very cordial and guided us whenever we asked for help. The room provided was clean and well kept. However the buffet breakfast served was just average. Lack of variety.

The stay was absolutely perfect with clean rooms and bathrooms. The food at pepper chino which was a complimentary breakfast was also so good. and it was too good for a long stay.

The location is superb. So travelling in the city is very convenient. Also the rooms were neat & clean. The washrooms were also clean. The staff was polite. Over all good experience

AC Is not working properly. Breakfast Menu is same for 3days.There is no Room Freshener in Bathroom so bad smell is coming

services and amenities provided by the hotel were quite good.Food quality and taste was good.All staff was supportive.

- Excellent check in. - very good housekeeping. Excellent infact… but please change the soap if possible.. the toiletries in general (shampoo, soap and body wash) poor quality. - service was good as well, but few dishes that I wanted to try weren’t available, hence the disappointment. But service was great. - Overall a good experience. Excellent customer service. Thank you!

A good hotel to stay. The location is very good, and it has good access to all places. Food is also upto mark.

The hotel is good, food is good.The manager at counter was very rude (old fellow).we asked for a bottle of water ( 200ml kept at counter) he gave us one bottle and started cribbing for a rs. 5 bottle. We returned the bottle without saying anything thing. Highly embarrassing and insulting. We took two rooms on 6-8 march,then again on 17 to 19 march25, but felt very insulted with his behaviour.

Maintenance is poor

Stay was perfect. Everything was perfect. In fact i was upgraded to a suit room. The buffet breakfast was delicious and with ample options. The entire staff was very humble & supportive. Wifi speed was decent. I would certainly recommend the property to all & look forward to staying in the samilton during my next kolkata visit as well.

Impressed by the courteous staff. Rooms and bathrooms are not dirty but linen on bed and in bathroom could be cleaner and smell fresher. Electric kettle in room also needs to be cleaned between guests (tea/coffee stains on its outside. Add on facilities, such as tea, toiletries and laundry, as promised. Well-located property.

apart from mr shyamaldas who i believe happens to be the housekeeping manager, nothing is good in this hotel.... i booked for 2 nights... the first room we were given had broken flush tap and was covered in spiderwebs in all nook and corners.... the lady at the reception unwillingly agreed for the change upon asking.... she was making faces as if we asked something that we were not entitled to... however, to our dismay... the next room had entire wall panel opened in the bathroom as shown in the picture which could allow rats or insects play in the room at night clearly making it dangerous to stay in... we asked to either change the room or cancel our booking thinking we will finally get a proper room to stay in. they again unwillingly agreed to it and gave us another room which looked ok at first glance and we moved in... but as stated above... nothing works here....after a few hours when i tried calling in, intercom was not working... doors were jammed too.. had mr shyamaldas not been there to help with everything with a broad smile... we would have left after day 1....
