Our stay at The Serai Chikmagalur was truly unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The property is beautifully nestled amidst lush coffee plantations, offering complete peace and serenity — the perfect getaway from city life. The villas are spacious, luxurious, and thoughtfully designed, with private pools and stunning views of greenery all around. The food at Odyssey restaurant was top-notch — every meal was delicious and freshly prepared with a lot of care. What stood out the most was the exceptional service — every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel special. The evening turndown surprises, plantation walk, and spa experience added that extra touch of perfection.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Serai, Chikmagalur. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. What really stood out was their thoughtfulness towards families — they even had a nanny service and a play gym, which my 7-month-old loved! Every member of the staff was courteous and made us feel truly cared for. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with top-notch service.

Good experience, however the stay could not justify the price. Here are a few things that I felt were a bit off about the experience: - The entire pathway was slippery, full of mould. You cannot walk properly, and this can be injurious for senior folks. - The way the cottages are designed is a bit off. You'd directly enter the jacuzzi/pool area, and at certain times the staff would just walk in, which feels like a breach of privacy. It should have been designed as a backyard. - Most of the roads are not lit, or very poorly lit. There could have been surface lighting which would have improved accessibility during the evening. - There's not much of a wow factor that you'd expect from 20K+ stays. There's no welcome drink and the complimentary drinks are cheap PaperBoat juices that cost. - The structures could be a bit more open, they have kept huge windows, but they all face covering walls which are very dirty.

To live amidst a coffee plantation with only the sounds of birds is lovely and when luxurious rooms with private swimming pools are added to it you can just imagine. The food was good too. Staff were courteous but could be little flexible with check in and check out times. They need to work on their maintainance and upholstery

The location is convenient, located right on the highway. The villas are very spacious and cleanly maintained even the pool and outdoor shower area. Food was mixed - some items good while some could be better. No mountain or forest view from villas but they have not mentioned that either anywhere so that is fine. Staff is very polite and helpful.

Serai is surrounded by coffee plantation. We had a great time during our stay. The breakfast buffet had limited options, but the ala carte dinner menu with Malnad cuisine was excellent. The kids’ play area was great and a lady staff member took good care of my child. The overall staff service was excellent.

The property is very well maintained location is really close to the main city which is convenient the food was very delicious the service was extra ordinarily good very polite caring staff

Resort was good, service is very poor and maintenance is not that great. Food is not that great and don’t have much options. No activities planned like coffee plantation walk, mulyanagiri trek which they mentioned. Also special food which mentioned in menu are not served. Overall bad experience
